I was not aware that if you are over 30 minutes late to pick up the rental truck that the corporate office will cancel your reservation. While we were there to pick up the truck , the reservation was in the process of being cancelled on line by the uhaul corporation. Do NOT be late to pick up . The staff at this location are great . I dropped my vehicle after hours. The app wanted me to scan a barcode for the location. No barcode could be located. Two days after dropping my vehicle and trailer off I received a bill saying my vehicle was late and not received until Tuesday. I in fact dropped it off on Sunday. They tried to bill me $42 for a trailer that U-Haul requested I bring down. Not happy with this rental.Jeffrey M.

The line to pick up the truck at 8am was 20 people deep and employee was working at turtle speed which put us way behind. The truck was only on a quarter tank so we had to waste more time stopping at a gas station to fill up. We had to go â€œout backâ€ ourselves to pick up our blankets and then walk over to the truck in the parking lot, it wasn't pulled up under the canopy like we were told it would be. The guy gave away the last utility dolly, that we reserved, to the guy in front of us so he gave us an appliance dolly which was way too big as we had no appliances that we were moving. Needless to say, we were two hours behind on the day.Jeremy R.

I submitted a rental for a 20' truck at the 4457 Kernel Circle location about 2 months ago. We also have 2 pods at that location and had the truck and requested access to to pods for 6/18. When I arrived and indicated the reason I was there, the worker was very rude and indicated to access pods I had to call 24 hours in advance (was almost like hopes for an excuse not to do anything). When indicated this request was submitted 2 weeks ago, the 2 days ago, then the day before (as the receipt of the pods initially was a poor customer experience), she succumbed to having to do this. Then she indicated that there were no 20' trucks, no ANY other trucks, other than a pick up. She blamed it on â€œcorporate overbookingâ€ as opposed to being an employee with vested interest in the company paying her wages and trying to work something out. Finally she tried to find another location to rent from. This was the Cleveland location. She would not physically call to verify, but made another rental for me there. I left my 2 adult children there to unpack pods and get what was needed while I went to pick up the truck elsewhere. When I arrived, there was a line and the person at the front had ALSO ordered a 20' truck and they didn't have any either, but said they had 1 26' truck left. I spoke up from the back thinking the 26' rental I now had was being handed to someone else for more errors. When I got tot he front, this worked also was rude. He did not great myself, or others, and struggled to see if a truck was available. We finally got to the payment and keys and there was no explanation of where the truck was, how to return it, etc. The paperwork said the truck was in a space, but that was incorrect, it was in a space several slits away. Good thing my education has allowed me the ability to read and reason, thus finding the truck number. Now, I'm not a truck driver, but the 26' trucks are all parked very close to each other and not much space to pull out and turn. The paperwork said the vehicle had 41k miles on it and the odometer said 91k. I tried to put this in the electronic check out, but it would not accept it. The line was now about 10 customers deep so I left, as the point of the truck was to move things and I had people waiting for me after that he continued charade of errors, it would seem logical that I hadn't put 50k miles on the truck in the matter of 4 hours. The whole experience was frustrating and poor at best. Workers want to blame corporate and don't take any commitment to customers or locations to possible review orders in advance, check inventory and then work towards a solution in advance. I found this very shallow and pedantic.KEITH V.

The mileage was off by over 100 miles. Also, truck had 16 miles a gas when I picked it up and then the expectation was I would return it with a quarter tank. Yard boys were good helping work this out. The young lady working the counter was also pleasant and professional.Phil S.

Counter person basically said here is your keys, there's your truck. I was the only one in the place at 7 am. It would have been nice if he walked out to the truck and answered questions about truck settings. Truck had broken drivers side visor mount that hung down a bit and didn't want to use it and make it worse.Albert S.

This again is not the people that you meet face to face. The people on the ground are doing the best they can but are drowning. The main problem is that we could never use the big door, always blocked by other pods, trucks, etc. My husband had tools and we're heavy so that was VERY inconvenient, and when asked about it, staff just replied that they didn't have anywhere to put stuff and the had other spaces they could have used. Also my card had been hacked and charged me 15.00 late charge instead of notifying me. And paying 95.00 a month for a small space was just too much considering other issues.Sue J. | Overall Experience
The reason why I said no to the lighting was because of the fact that the lights upstairs where my storage unit was does not stay on for more than 5 minutes and you have to keep going down the other way to send hit the sensor so the lights will come on other than that my experience with you was good and I would recommend you to other people but maybe you might want to do something about the upstairs light so when the lights come on they stay on until like 5 minutes after people are done something like that.Wendy S. | Overall Experience

I was told by the Uhaul call center that my unit was on the first floor. When I arrived I found out all available units were on the second floor, the person in office spoke negatively about the call center always screwing things up, and I would have to carry my boxes up stairs. I was sent out by the office to find it on my own in a sea of buildings. Fortunately Nigel helped us find the right building, helped us get in, and provide guidance on how best to get the boxes out of our truck and up the stairs. The clerk, although courteous, told me storage units are on a first come first serve basis.
