The gentleman who checked me in was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and efficient. The truck, however, was horrible. It shook so hard, I don't think it had any shocks. When it was loaded with furniture, it did shake, but not as much. After it was unloaded, on certain parts of the road on Route 13/50 going from Bowie, Maryland, it shock so hard that I had a difficult time holding on to the steering wheel.

No problem at all all vent smooth
HAJIAGA SThe drop off was terrible. Told there was a spit when I called at noon. Was to be open till 8 am. When i went at 5. No one was around and it cost an additional fee for drop box. Which i confirmed was no added fee.

ROGER T | Overall ExperienceMove in online was very easy and seamless. Moving in on time constraints was very challenging and confusing. They had an office that was 30 minutes away from the physical storage location. I wasted 30 minutes going initially to the wrong place and then when I arrived at the physical place it was confusing to find the unit even with the map. Also when I found the area for my unit I pull up to the access arm not operating. I called customer service and was told to wait for a callback for a code. I never received a call. I had to move my stuff in before heading home which is nearly 3 hours away so I had to walk my things across a rocky parking lot to get it done because I couldn't pull my car up to the unit. Also I had to go to the nearest dollar store to pick up a padlock because one was not provided in the unit as stated. The inconvenience of the move in hiccups costed me 2 extra hours of headache. The unit was clean and the surrounding area was well maintained all except the gate.

The place itself has rodents so please get insurance at move in or they won't cover furniture that's damaged at their facility. As a military family moving to the area we are having to start over on big ticket items due to mice chewing through our couches and making nests. Found a dead mouse in the unit and dead mice in the gravel driveway. Had to throw away 3 pieces of furniture and repair/clean one after getting baby mice out. Absolutely disgusting and will not be doing this again!

Now I see, with your increased pricing, your Snow Hill, MD lot will be empty. If there is any specials for Jan. - April time frame. I would leave my camper there for those months.

Joshua J | Online Move InAs a first time user utilizing a U-Haul vehicle, I am very impressed with the customer service provided by U-Hauls staff. Calling the 1-800 number or the local number and making changes and seeking advise has been such a fantastic experience. As for the storage facility provided by U-Haul at no charge for the first month, I am ecstatic at the service provided by the staff that manages the U-Haul facility in Snow Hill, Md. where I had to store my belongings due to a snafu with move in paperwork at the residence I am to occupy. Not only was the staff fantastic but the facility is immaculate!!!!! I was able to store my household goods which fit comfortably in the unit given to me. I am one happy camper and although I hope to been moving into my residence within the next week or two, I know that my things are safe and secure. Thank you U-Haul for providing excellent service.

Since being purchased by U-Haul, it has been an ordeal getting the account squared away despite the fact that I sent a detailed email about how our account is managed upon first receiving notice that Larry Shockley had sold the facility. I even called and emailed a second time asking for our invoices. The Snow Hill location office is not fully manned so catching up with a facility manager took several tries. I did not find the people who answer the phone, which is routed to another location, either knowledgeable or helpful. We have received literally a dozen dunning notices without having received an invoice. What's more, the notices are signed by a woman who is deceased. She passed away two months before the first notice signed from her arrived. I have brought this to the attention of U-Haul but nothing has been done to change this, which should be a simple matter of correcting a template. And, here again today, I open an email from a deceased person. This message contradicts itself by first stating they are sorry to see us go and then thanking us for our continued patronage. Our account is paid by the County Government and, for years, has never been delinquent. In fact, our account has a history of being paid in full for the entire year, the first week of the new fiscal year. That is three units paid up front for the entire lease period. (Imagine my surprise when I found one of our units padlocked and a letter in the mail threatening to sell our property at auction!) It is my belief that the County's check for the full annual rent for the three units has been received by U-Haul Salisbury, MD location. I was instructed to have it mailed to that facility. Please folks, U-Haul is a well known, well respected, long established business entity in this country. Please bring the Snow Hill facility and the Salisbury office up to par. I know you can do better than to embarrass yourselves while unnecessarily harassing and insulting a long standing customer. Thank you, Kathy Decker, Administrative Assistant II, University of Maryland Extension - Worcester County. PS - It is my understanding that a new HVAC unit has been ordered for the climate controlled building which houses our property. I hope that is a quick repair as it is very warm in that building. I also reported that the smoke/fire alarm is beeping in another CC building. I hope that has been attended to as well. Our outdoor units have been overrun with mice and spiders so I hope U-Haul will step up efforts to lessen this. Thank You.
