Overall it was a great experience renting from this location. I dealt with willie Burke both times he was super helpful professional great communication and knew what he was doing as far as uhaul runs because he was always helping other employees as far as how do's and donts as far as renting equipment and computer stuffJASON I.

I had trouble paying my bill so it's likely my fault mostly, but I did not feel like the customer service was focused on the storage end of the business at all...I think if u haul.wants to do the storage side as well as the moving truck rental they need to put a bit more emphasis on training the employees and being clearSARAH P. | Overall Experience
equipment express check in directions. tough times right now with COVID and work stress, and it showed a bit from one of the employees at the beginning, but at the end, after she helped me, she seemed to be in a better mood and happier. She and the other reps otherwise did a great job. I'll be back and will share my good experience.James S.

I dropped off at the truck at the 3601 Santa Rosa Ave location the morning of Dec 14.. The man at the counter was OK. He had several people waiting and was getting no help from the yard men - so a lot of people were waiting around. The yard men were worthless!!! One walked by me 3 times while I was standing by the return truck before saying "You need to pull it up there." "There' was 25 feet forward, and there wasn't another truck in the whole area. By the time I pulled up he had disappeared agaIn. It took 5 more minutes to track him down again. He was hiding in the far end of the lot BSing with the other yard man. This time I said firmly "I want to check my truck in!" He ignored me again and I followed him around repeating myself. He finally went over to the truck and checked me in without ever looking at the gas gauge (I had filled it, but he didn't know) or the odometer. He never eve opened the door! I could have left a dead cat in there and he would have missed it.. I asked for a receipt - because of the 45 minute3s I'd spent there I was only a few minutes away from my "check in" time. He said "In there." and wandered off again. Back in the office, there were about 6 people in line (and the same people waiting around for their pick up vehicles and tow bars). Luckily, the counter man asked "are you just waiting for a receipt?" and gave it to me without having to wait in line the hour it would have taken. I left and I will NEVER go to that location again. I'm usually pretty understanding of people having an off day, or too many things to be done, but those yard men were completely worthless! I hope you fire them - and get a couple of people who are interested in helping your customers.DENNIS M.

Not pleased with trailer pick up location. first I was first told the pick up location was in Benicia, then Petaluma 40 miles further, then told to pick up in Santa Rosa, 60 miles further, that's 120 miles out of my way. You need to keep better track of where your car trailers are at.Jim W.

Reserve trailer wasn't there when arrived. Would have had to drive 40 miles during rush hour to get the size trailer reserved. There was no apology, no offer of compensation, nothing from employees. Then the smaller trailer that was finally assigned was broken. The last trailer on the lot was mismarked, but FINALLY worked. A waste of an hour and a half. Terrible service. Terrible product. Time was wasted. Waited 45 minutes for help to hook up auto transport. My husband is 73 and I am 70. I also was handed the keys to the truck and left to walk out and pick the truck up. I wasn't even sure I had the right one. Crappy customer service.KAREN S.

After the phone hanging up on me 5 times the day prior, Don hung up on me when I asked that he look at the contract return date. When I called back he put me on hold several times. The contract has a discrepancy, and instead of taking responsibility for it, he hung up on me. Horrible service.Sarah R.

I was first sent by Uhaul reservation to a location that didn't have the trailer I had reserved. Had to drive to the main uhaul dealership for the trai.er. That was very annoying. The trailer I rented was buried behind 5 other trailers even though there were 2 others that I was parked right next too.? Go figure. 20 minutes later after moving the extra trailers I was able to get hooked up. Funny, I had been parked right in front of the exact same trailer and could have been hooked up in 30 seconds. When I returned the trailer the next day, yes just 24 hrs, the trailer in front was still sitting there. My first choice of rental was a 2 axle covered trailer. NON WERE AVAILABLE. When I picked the smaller trailer up 2 of the 5 that had to be moved were the 2 axle trailer that I originally wanted to rent. FUNNY. They were still sitting there when I returned the smaller trailer that you allowed me to rent. Very disappointed. Unfortunately my local rental shops don't have covered trailers so I'm stuck dealing with Uhaul.ERIC L.

Last time I rented a uhaul I went to pick it up and they rented it to someone else or it just wasn't available. No sorry no let's see what I can do. Simply too bad so sad. This time I rented and was sure to call a few days in advance. I was told thankfully it would be there. When I picked up the keys the guys handed them over and said my uhaul will be out front and someone will be there to give you your dolly appliance. We stood out there no uhaul nobody there with the dolly. I went back inside and said nobody is out there and which one is our uhaul ? He said I told you (which he did not) you have to go out and find it yourself match the keys to the truck. Now why would anyone have to go on a scavenger hunt to find a truck. This truck was way far behind there facility we would of never found it. So finally the guy with the dolly shows up and is irritated he has to help us go find the uhaul on the back of the property. Am I missing something? So disappointed. A little customer service would be nice.Jennifer M.
I made my reservation a month ago in San Rafael and was expecting to pick up the vehicle at that location. I got a call 3 hours before pick up and I was told that there was no trucks available and had to go to Santa Rosa or San Francisco for pick up. Messed up my day.ANA H.

Fire the manager...I made a reservation 2 weeks prior to my move day and when I got there 1.5 hours late due to traffic and paying for my moving crew he gave my 26ft truck to someone els without a reservation. When I said how could this happen he said its policy to rent it out after an hour....super bad attitude and same when I returned my 20 ft truck which I had to use it twice because the truck I got was too small. Waste of time and money...super bumbed he ruined my move...Gilbert B.
This location runs very smoothly. The only time I've this location struggle is when the customers are having a battle with their own struggles. The staff do their best to help and politely, but usually the customer is the issue. The staff have always been great to me.Scott R.

Not this locations fault but Uhaul initially tried to make us drive 3 hours away just to pick up a Uhaul we scheduled almost 2 weeks prior to pickup. Once sorted out, working with Willie and Don made the experience much better.Neil R.

I couldn't even use my key card to access the storage unit because the swiping door lock doesn't work I would always have to walk inside and wait for some one to come and open it with a different key.
