Equipment had not been cleaned inside or out recently. Interior panels were loose and noisy, suspension and frame were clunky and noisy. Vehicle was delivered with higher kilometers and lower fuel level than recorded on contract. Charged for 15 kilometers that were not mine and already on Van, delivered with 5/8 tank fuel but contract noted 3/4. I have currently logged an invoice complaint and am awaiting response. Communication is very poor when I called the 866 #. Im in B.C. and was directed to an Alberta pick drop off centre. I was hung up on 4x in the process of the workers sending me to a B.C. outlet. Not cool. The location I was sent to was very easy to find with Google mapsMICHAEL S.

Have the truck upfront, or better directions as to it's parked location. Very clean, good trend on the tires. This is by far the best U-haul location I have ever used in the Metro Vancouver area and I have used six different locations in the last 19 years having rented over 35 times using 9' vans, 15' and 17' trucks. I reserved my vehicle 2 weeks in advance. Checked in twice to make sure all was good. Tried to get truck maybe early on a Saturday or even just a late evening but was a like a extra $5oo bucks. I said no but what was earliest time on Sunday they said 830 am. But of coarse you don`t open until 9. I said great I will pick up my u hual first thing. Get there no truck. I ordered the 26 foot truck which I needed to move all my stuff. They gave me the 20 foot no discount and I am pretty sure the 26 is a lot more. Needless to say I could not fit all my stuff in. It would have been fine if it was a local move but it was a long distant move. Need less to say I will NEVER recommend or use U-Haul again. People were nice but it sounds like this happens alot where customer gets SCREWED. Oh and the truck barley made the trip it was a hunk of shit just like the company, Never Again will I use this company and I will tell everyone about my shitty experienceANDREW P.
I booked a 10 ft truck for a one-way move and was told I'd receive a call the day before to confirm pickup location. I did not receive a call but instead got an email confirming my booking. Then on the day of pickup 1 hour before the scheduled time I was informed no 10 ft truck was available and I'd get a 15 ft instead. This caused many issues with pre-booked ferries and loading areas. Not to mention safe packing of belongings in the truck since I only required the smaller space. Don't always assume a free "upgrade" won't cause issues and if changes are required give more notice. The first person a dealt with didn't even seem to understand how this could possibly be a problem. The second person was apologetic and more helpful. All in all this experience added more stress and complication to an already difficult day.Janet L.

I was not satisfied with my experience. First of all, the equipment was not cleaned after the last client used it, the truck had several dollies inside it that I had to remove and return myself. Second, I did not receive the text message to verify the condition of the truck until well after I had left the lot. By the time I was able to access it, it was already expired. Third, when I returned the truck the employee tried to blame some damage on me that I did not cause, claiming that a dry old leaf attached to a bolt looks fresh. The damage was already there and should have been found if a proper inspection and cleaning was performed after the previous client.Jakub S.

I received the invoice and the mileage are 2 miles more since i took photos as prove. And also i returned the truck at 3:20pm, but it says on the invoice i returned at 7:01pm. And I received a phone call from UHaul at 6:40pm and asking me did i return the key. Of course i returned the key. Overall experience was average.King Hei C.
Don't leave the gas tank at 1/4 and expect customers to fill up. If customer only drove a little and the gas tank was at half to start, then we would not need to fill up afterwards - it's scummy to just leave it at 1/4 and force customers to pay for additional gas to avoid the $30 fill-up feeAndy T.

Attendant was at first not very helpful when I brought my trailer back there because they were carrying too much inventory. This location was by original contract, my return location. Someone, overnight, decided unilaterally and without my agreement, to alter the contract, and force me to return it elsewhere. When I refused, the attendant was not apologetic or understanding and just insisted that she would not take the trailer. This made for a very unpleasant return experience. However, the location itself is very convenient clean and well equipped.Martin S.
There wasn't enough staff working and everyone had to wait in line a long time. In my case I am glad I had experience with hooking up trailers because we had to do it ourselves because the one person that was working was having to serve customers. I have rented the pick up truck many times from this location. I rented it a week ago and the back window had been replaced. I knew this because of the blue tape on the window and because there was glass all behind the seats. When I dropped off the truck I told the staff that there was glass in the back seat. For this rental I rented the same truck. And there was still glass in back. I like this location as the hours are very convenient for me. The glass in truck won't stop me from renting there but if there is glass still in the truck the next I rent it I may reconsider.Katherine W.

This location has a serious rodent infestation that is not being effectively addressed. The first time I entered my unit and found the floor and my personal items covered in feces, I asked the office staff what next steps were. They assured me that someone would access my unit and clean up the mess, lay traps and ensure the issue was resolved. I went back to the unit two weeks later and nothing had been done. Another time they handed my peppermint sachets telling me that they were a rodent deterrent. I put them in the unit and the next time I entered the unit the sachets has been chewed open with their contents spread across the floor. This is totally unacceptable for the amount of money these units cost per month. Additionally I had been told that the buildings were climate controlled. I did not find that to be the case at all, the units get hot in the summer and are freezing cold in the winter. An overall disappointing experience.Angela D. | Overall Experience

The service is extremely poor. I spelled out my address several times and uhaul sent me an email with the wrong spelling. Not very professional job. I reserved to pick up in surrey but when I got to the surrey location the uhaul guy said there wasn't any reservations. I had to call to the other uhaul place to get a truck. I wanted a big truck but the guy insisted me of getting the smallest truck. The U-Haul guy made the reservation for pick up in Richmond and return to Richmond. I told him I wanted to pick up in surrey and return in Richmond. The U-Haul guy keeps making mistakes. This is very unprofessional and there's no apologies whatsoever. The surrey U-Haul guy called me a few times and he told me someone made a mistake. Anyways I will never come back to uhaul after I move all the furnitures from your storage.Tina y. | First Impressions

I was bumped out of my original reservation for a space (the last one that was left) (5 x 5 x 10). I was able to persuade the staff to solve this problem for me. They offered me a bigger space, with one month free, and to let me know when the originally reserved space is free again. I expect staff to take care of transferring the items to the smaller space, once it become available. To me, this is only fair, after I spent hours on Saturday ensuring that this space was reserved, since it was the last one available.
