Duke N.1. Location did not have the two dolly's on my order; if my truck is going to be changed to a different location make sure the entire order can be completed at the new location 2. Representative informed me that I had to locate the dollys at another location and did not offer assistance; U-Haul should have been proactive and pointed me to a location where I could then pick up both dollys to complete my order (customer time is valuable as well and extra time calling around to find them is unnecessary) 3. Driver side door did not close all the way which allowed air to flow into cab causing loud noise + the supplied lock would not stay closed so I had to purchase my own; equipment should be kept in good condition

Paul S.I was very upset when I picked up the truck because the appliance dolly I reserved was not available. This was after U-Haul called to let me know that the original pickup place I requested did not have the dolly and redirected me to the Richardson location. Not acceptable management, U-Haul!! Thankfully the manager at the Richardson location is a wonderful people person and made me feel valued, even though the dolly could not be provided.

Rahman F.The staff at the 412 LBJ Richardson location was very friendly and helpful during a horriable experience. I reserved my 15 ft truck on Wed June 22nd for Saturday 25th for 12pm. On Saturday, I received a call from Uhaul and was told my truck 15ft would need to be picked up in the 902 W Walnut St. Garland TXoooo9 location at 12pm to be picked up at 1pm. Upon arrival, I waited in line for more than 45 minutes just to be told that this location does not have any 15ft trucks. I was sent to Richardson at 2pm to pickup a 10ft truck.

Rafael L.First of all, we reserved our truck over 1 month in advance for a pick up at a location near our home. We received notice the DAY before that the truck we reserved was not available at that location, so we had to go out of our way and waste an hour going to this location. When we got there, there was only ONE person working. There were 5 people who DIDNT have a reservation in front of us AND the truck we were assigned was FILTHY with trash all over the floor and cab, we had to wash all of the windows just to see out of them. HORRIBLE experience to say the least.

I wish this crew worked in every store I ever do business in because they 100 percent represent how customers are supposed to be treated. They were a delight to work with.
nick S.Jacob checked me in and hooked up the trailer like a pro! He was funny and helpful and delightful to work with. Can't remember the man's name who checked the trailer back in but he was also amazing and kind. He had dreads and a top knot ponytail and was very pleasant to work with. I have a uhaul hitch that was installed 10+ years ago and I use the crap out of it. Best purchase ever. Another customer was in the lot and started asking about my Honda towing and I pointed out that uhaul installs them and it's a life saver. Love the 75 location in Richardson those guys work hard!! Get them an umbrella so they don't melt in the hot Texas sun.
Drea D.I had a really good experience. The only down size was the fact that the manager was alone for a while and the wait time was extended. I completely understand-I'm a patient person. I felt bad for her because the line was getting longer and longer. Through it all, her attitude was awesome. She was still courteous and upbeat. I really like this location since it's close to my home and it's really easy to pick up and drop off.

Also, truck gas tank was listed as "full" but was below the full line and there was no way to get an accurate reading when signing off on the state of the equipment via the app so I will likely have to put more gas in than what I got to begin with.

Charles B.Was the equipment clean? Yes. Well maintained? No. Those are two different questions that you should not lump together. The truck was a mess. Beat to hell, the damage that uhaul said it had was not close to correct, so I had to overly document the damage it actually had. The truck ran, but my word, it seemed like a struggle every time I hit the gas. I realize it's a big vehicle, but having driven a 26' U-haul before, this one was way worse. Also, I don't feel like a customer should ever be given a rental vehicle with less than an eighth of a tank of fuel. The whole “we'll credit you more money to bring it back with a quarter tank†business is crap. Just give every customer a vehicle with a full tank and have people return it with a full tank. Perfect? No. But way better than giving someone a truck with an eighth of a tank of gas or less and them having to white knuckle it to a gas station in a location they aren't familiar with. And then when I returned the truck it was only SLIGHTLY above a quarter of a tank, but your people said I returned it with 3/8th's of a tank. That screws the next customer, because they aren't getting a truck with 3/8th's of a tank, they're getting a truck with SLIGHTLY more than a 1/4. It doesn't seem right. Lastly, don't let people reserve a truck at the uhaul location 5 miles from their house and then call them to say they'll have to pick it up from a location 15 miles from their house. Just say the truck isn't available at that first location. So I had to pay an extra $30 plus gas to rent a truck from a further location, and had I known that, I would have figured out something else. Just shady all around. Don't love it. Penske has uhaul beat in every way, except for the number of locations. Do better.

In addition, I wasn't happy that i had to resupply all info from my electronic check in, and the amount to be paid was higher than shown on reservation.

Don't ask customers to approve a vehicle condition assessment that doesn't remotely resemble the actual condition of the vehicle.

Renting a truck has a lot of steps and there is always waiting, but they make sure that you wait as little as possible and that your experience is pleasant. I am an occasional user, so I am in there every few weeks. Always a well run shop.

Kim U.The employee included insurance on the rental after I declined it online. They also assessed a fuel charge when we returned the truck - even though we drove 11 miles, added fuel and returned the truck at the same level or above. U-Haul refunded us for the invalid charges.
Peter W.My original truck had the key left in it and turned on, so it was dead. They were nice enough to upgrade me to a larger truck for free though. The first person I encountered had terrible customer service skills, but then thankfully a young man (I wish I had caught his name - young hispanic man) came in and took MUCH better care of me. He was so polite and helpful - I hope his company knows what an asset he is to them. I didn't have any trouble with the bigger truck (other than it was just a little harder to maneuver than the original size I had rented). Overall, I was taken care of, but I was disappointed with the online check in process because I ended up having to go in to get helped anyways, so I think it probably cost me time overall.

I have never done that at a Uhaul but I left them. They call me back saying the keys are locked in! If you checked me in like you were supposed to, they keys couldn't have been locked in the truck! Piece of sh*t moving service and staff.

The employees were unorganized and unprofessional. They sent me to 3 other locations through out the Dallas metro that were all closed on sundays. They refused to accept responsibility for causing me to go over on gas, miles, and truck rental time. I was forced to take time off work on monday to move into a storage unit that was far from the original location. Very disappointed with the Uhaul Richardson staff for wasting my time and their poor attitudes. I expect more from you.

After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. This is about the dumbest thing in storage facilities I've ever encountered. We won't be using this facility again for that reason alone.

Because i did the online move in, the email said my storage room was ready to access and all i had to do was enter the building which is not the case. as soon as i opened my storage room, the alarm went off because i had no card to swipe.
