The staff was EXTREMELY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND UNHELPFUL. I literally walked into the store, said hello, and the rep looked at me and completely ignored me. They were busy sorting out the boxes and had no time for me so they chose to ignore me until they were done. I waited for 5 minutes, they came and wanted to use the minimum number of words to get me out of the door. I asked questions and they were not in the mood of answering so they gave non helpful single worded answers. When i walked out, a prior uhaul was blocking the way for me to exit so i went back inside and asked the rep to move it. He gave me the same cold look, and told me to wait 5 minutes. WTHHH?????AMR K.

The lady at the counter was not helpful. I walked back out to take a pic of the truck I was returning and they closed and locked the doors and she just looked at me but didn't say anything and shut the place down without returning my vehicle. I had to check in on my phone.Amanda M.

I was disrespected by the person who helped me connected the trailer to my car and then he lays to his asst. GM who gave me a call and without asking me any question about my issue with his team member, told me I need to bring the trailer back and will have to pick trailer from different location because his team member compliant about me. Then I asked him to provide me with his corp. office number so hang up on me. If this location continue with having employees like that, I'm sure this location will be out of business soon. I escalated my concerns to customer service and reported my poor experience and still waiting on someone to give me a call. As William your customer service promised me that someone will give me a call in 3 days to resolution. if I don't receive any call, will be reporting this incident to consumer complaint reporting and will take even further to social media and share my bad experience.Sherif E.

First I had to search for the truck because it wasn't in the correct location. After walking around in the cold we found it parked at the park of another parking lotâ€¦ Gas mileage wasn't properly marked and they still charged me after I replaced the gas I used.Sara R.
Truck was clean, but needed maintenance. Steering was sloppy and transmission shift lever has a large area of play when shifting into gear. This is attributed to careless renters in the past and in no way reflects to this U-Haul rental location.Dwight W.

I would recommend the location that I dropped off the unit to but my problem is with U-Haul itself. Upon taking the unit back I needed to pay additional fee of $11 and and put the fuel tank where it needs to be no problem that's something I needed to do that was in the agreement I had no problem in doing that. My problem was when I did above all the things that's required of me through U-Hauls agreement. I put in a little bit too much gas in the unit maybe $20 worth. I felt like the $20 should have went towards the $11 fee in mileage but she told me she could not do that you your company U-Haul don't allow it so. Not only did I pay over the gas mileage I had to pay the $11 to which was not fair to me as a customer and been a customer of yours for many many years. I asked her cuz she reimbursed me in some way and waved the $11 because it's in the tank. She told me through your agreement she cannot do that because your company which is U-Haul you didn't allow it so I did my agreement but I wasn't fair on your end in my opinion you owe me a refund that's my complaint and it's a valid complaint because many people have paid over it in one way or another and y'all getting your fees y'all y'all encouraging your fees to be met y'all enforcing it but you're not taking in regards of the customer who paid over that should be applied to the other fees so we both be balanced. Don't you agree because you got satisfied I did that's not balanced neither was it fair think about it thank youBridgette L.

Because of the number of vehicles and trailers being turned in it was over-whelming to look at. Since there was only 1 person at the desk for check in's and outs, it was a bit of a cluster...SUSAN W.
Customer service was garbage. I was given the key to the wrong truck. I had to wait around 20 minutes more to get the right key. This might have gone faster if one clerk didn't have to basically ask the clerk next to him to explain every step on his computer. So y'all had it set up to have 2 employees in order to be able to check out one customer at a time? I had to wait 10 minutes more and finally ask the employees to move from behind the truck so I could leave. The key drop box was not mentioned or pointed out. After 20 minutes of walking around the building on hold with U-Haul for someone to help me, I finally found it around the corner. Small sign, poorly lit. This was all after y'all took my reservation and then called me at 7am the next day to tell me I had to go to a different location to pick up the truck, adding miles and cost to me/ passing the expense on to your customer. I could go on. Incompetent, inconsiderate employees who clearly don't want to be there, don't care about the job and don't care about the customers by any perceivable observation. Won't use U-Haul again if I can help it. If I do it'll be a last resort, but I'll make it a point to encourage folks to not pick uhaul.Joseph F.

Verify if the customer wants the insurance/protection before charging them for it. When I made my reservation, I declined the insurance but when my payment was processed upon pickup, they charged me anyway. We were in a hurry so I didn't catch it but it was frustrating to see the charge later. It felt deceptive even if that wasn't the intent.Joshua T.

I called the day prior to my move, the truck was ready and waiting for me at 7:30 am as promised. I needed an extra few hours to complete my move which was easily arranged with one phone call. Drop off was a breeze. Everyone was professional , polite and respectful, especially Ron, because of him, he made my moving experience much less hectic Excellent team, excellent service! The customer service was abysmal and inconsistent. I went to the store to make the reservation, I have never done it before so I was not sure how everything went. The service representative at the front desk was impolite and unhelpful anytime I had a question about the process. Luckily I was able to still make my reservation and pick up the truck, which worked very well. The truck never had any issues. When returning the truck, i did what was asked by parking the truck back in its original spot, with the keys in the back, and the lock on the gate. I went inside to tell them and they told me I was wrong and to never do that. They rudely instructed me to move it to the front which was inconsistent with what they told me 6 hours ago. Overall a very awful experience with the only redeeming quality being the actual truck we used.Zachary B.

My storage unit suffered not one but two leaks due to an air conditioning unit that leaked on my stored goods. On site personnel should have moved my goods to a unit that was out of harms way but that didn't happen. While I was reimbursed partially for the damaged goods, more could have been done. The staff is completely incompetent. No idea which units have been rented. I arrived with a 15 foot truck and a storage reservation. They did not have a storage unit for me and proceeded to send me to 4 other locations that were all closed on sundays. I went over on gas, miles, and time because they were incapable of providing a storage unit. The staff at the Richardson location was more than awesome in helping me find the right size storage unit and made everything simple and seamless to get moved in. The facility is extremely clean and even smells good. The climate controlled units were are kept at a comfortable temperature which was once on a hot day. The first girl to come help said she needed to cut the lock off my unit. She walked away to get the tools to cut the lock and she never came back! After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. When we got to the facility, the storage room which we paid for was locked and we will we're given no keys, we had already loaded our U-Haul van with our furniture. We were asked to repeat sensitive information no less than 3 times. We didn't get the impression that our business and especially our time mattered. Employees weren't urgent and lacked the knowledge needed to serve us the way we needed to be served. There were about 4 people who needed to service us. We arrived a few minutes after 5pm on a Friday and left close to 8.pm The only thing we needed to do was return our truck, get a storage unit, and move the things out of our truck into our unit.
