Someone needs to teach the sales clerk who worked the Sunday afternoon shift how to great visitors. All he asked for were the keys to the vehicle and mentioned something about an invoice. He did not say "Hello", or "Welcome to U-Haul, how can I help you", nothing. All he said was "hand me the keys and we will email you the invoice". Then he walked off. Didn't have the courtesy to look me in the eyes.BRIAN G.

The only problem with the Richardson location even though they promptly assisted with me my free 30 day storage the stated that I could return after hours to enter my storage unit; around 8:00 pm i realized I had left some necessities in my storage unit after the office was closed they did not provide me with access codes to enter my storage unit to retrieve my items. I then called the uhaul 800 number in which the told me that they could not assist me I had to return back to the facility during normal business hours.Treyvars J.

Friendly staff, but the truck we rented should have been retired a long time ago. Passenger-side mirror was broken, and neither mirror was adjustable with reasonable force. Gear shift handle linkage loose. Could not read odometer. Very rough idle! Ughâ€¦David L.

The people and service was great. The truck not so much. It blew smoke and vibrated a lot. I have driven trucks for many years so I know that this is not common. I drove from Richardson, Tx to Arlington, TX. 26 miles each way. The truck burned half a tank of gas each way. I paid $106.00 for fuel to drive less then 80 miles.Steven G.

The staff is completely incompetent. No idea which units have been rented. I arrived with a 15 foot truck and a storage reservation. They did not have a storage unit for me and proceeded to send me to 4 other locations that were all closed on sundays. I went over on gas, miles, and time because they were incapable of providing a storage unit. I arrived with the 15 foot truck to unload into my reserved storage unit on sunday afternoon to find out my unit had been rented to another customer. The employees were unorganized and unprofessional. They sent me to 3 other locations through out the Dallas metro that were all closed on sundays. They refused to accept responsibility for causing me to go over on gas, miles, and truck rental time. I was forced to take time off work on monday to move into a storage unit that was far from the original location. If this location is unable to do self-checkin, please remove as an option on that website. I reserved a truck at 7am just to find out that wasn't an option and had to wait for TWO HOURS til they opened. Typically, moving is a time based event so wasting two hours waiting on a truck was beyond unacceptable and inconvenient.BIANCKA C.

Update the service times. System allowed me to reserve a truck at 8am but when got to the place personnel said we had to wait until 9 am. Include like a cap so customers reserving before business hours must select the self checkout step to get designated equipment. Employee seemed annoyed when answering/giving guidance (it was 8am!) I also have not received my receipt and the employee said I would get it within 15 mins.Dany N.

Side marker lights on trailer are poor and some did not work. The picture shown online is not a good representation of the equipment. The 6' tongue in front of the trailer made backing and moving the trailer in our driveway impossible. The surge brakes on the tandem axel trailer were poor and would stay engaged when trying to take off and cause my truck to be jerked back when trying to take off from a stop. Also rendered my electronic brake controller unusable costing twice the gas cost and excessive wear on my truck.JEREMY P.

when i returned the trailer i rented, i parked it also unhooked it, i noticed the trailer could use some maintenance ,the screw jack was completely dry , to cranking it to raise the trailer of my ball hitch was almost impossible, it only takes a little lubricant to oil this and make a huge difference, also make parts last longer, not a big issue ,but would make a world of difference if customer ever has to remove this from there car for any reason, in general i rented many trailers from this location most of the staff are great and do there job well, thanks guys.LEONARD F.

Customer service. Representative have an attitude no customer service skill. Very short and no attention to detail. Employee was not very professional. Return space is very small and limited. Equipment was not clean before providing for service. Please be aware of your employee. There is one outside doing drugs while on clock.sun H.

Was very confusing to find the truck - it was well beyond where I would've thought to look. Wandered around for 15 minutes before I ran in to someone working (it was before opening as I did the 24/7 pick up). Once I got to the truck there was shattered glass all over the ground behind it then when I opened the truck there was glass inside. I brushed some out but it took me a while and I was almost late to meet my movers due to all thisSchaefer B.

I had to search multiple trucks around the property to even find my assigned vehicle as they didn't know where it would be and told me 'it could be behind the building in that lot too'. Then I worked hard to get it returned the same day, handed the keys to the front desk and was told I was all set. Later, I get a bill showing the truck wasn't checked in for two additional days. My emails to management went unanswered on the incorrect charges, despite showing photos with dates, times, and geolocation showing where the truck was when I turned it in.ELLIOTT R.

The store was fine, it would be nice to be able to call the store directly instead of getting routed to the hell known as customer service. The app doesn't work, to upload files, both in the online check in when uploading the dl image or the image when returning the equipment. Need to build in a bypass for the image upload if it doesn't work.GLEN T.

The staff at the Richardson location was more than awesome in helping me find the right size storage unit and made everything simple and seamless to get moved in. The facility is extremely clean and even smells good. The climate controlled units were are kept at a comfortable temperature which was once on a hot day. The first girl to come help said she needed to cut the lock off my unit. She walked away to get the tools to cut the lock and she never came back! After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. This is about the dumbest thing in storage facilities I've ever encountered. We won't be using this facility again for that reason alone.Sheri W. | First Impressions
There was no instructions on the email that said i had to receive some sort of card to move in. Because i did the online move in, the email said my storage room was ready to access and all i had to do was enter the building which is not the case. as soon as i opened my storage room, the alarm went off because i had no card to swipe.
