Well I had a problem with self checkin i called the 800 number and they gave me another number i called it and was on hold for probably a hour and i gave up eventually and took a few pictures and left cause I had yo go to work and drive 6 hours in Virginia to have a railroad crossing closed for a 6 am clouser so by the time I got to the hotel i didn't have time to get any rest because of getting a late start and the gentleman that gave me the number aduref me that I wouldn't be charged any extrs so im hoping since I couldn't do t heckin im not charged thank you for being a great service provider would like a response back concerning the matter thank you very much

I had a horrible experience at your 1902 7th Avenue Location. I had made arrangements for a 9ft cargo fan a day before, did everything on line. When I got to the store it took the gentleman 45 minutes on my account. I asked him did they have my van on the lot he said no. He did not mention going to the Patrick Street location. I will never ever recommend going to that location again. Other than that the 4th Avenue location did a wonderful job.

The truck was dirty, we were over charged on mileage (payed for 90 miles but only used 60), and the employee will not send us a breakdown receipt of how he charged us. Will only use penske from here on out.

Employees were AWESOME . HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Only issue was that I took the truck with less than half a tank and drove FOUR miles. When I checked it back in the "computer"said I left with a FULL tank. Luckily I took a pic of gas gage before leaving. Proble. Is that it took a long time to fix the situation upon return. So do not LEAVE truck.Check in back in and take a pic of gas gage before you leave!

The process to get the appointment was somewhat difficult. And they told me it would be on Thursday but scheduled it for Tuesday. Fortunately, when I went in they were able to accommodate me.

Everything was perfect. The lady that checked me in was absolutely WONDERFUL. She was very efficient and was very knowledgeable of the business and asked if I would need a dolly or pads. She truly made the rental process very quick and easy. Upon rental of the van she made it so easy. The lady is an asset to your company

Scheduled pick up for noon a week in advance was told someone else had the truck and wasn't available until two that afternoon. Had to stay the evening rather than heading back home as planned due to this. Then was told the truck smelled like wet and they didn't have deodorizer to clean it but then they found it and was told it was good to go. The smell was still there and the entire truck was greasy from the deodorizer. No other trucks were available so I had to deal with the smell and greasy texture for five hours.

the manager Stanton, was excellent to work with. I was expecting a run down vehicle but was suprised to get a 15 foot truck with 44286 miles on it and a air conditioner that "froze us out". We towed a small suv from dunbar ,wv to victoria tx. 1500 miles no issues. Wish all locations were this professional.

If the business opens at 7am, then someone should be at the site at least a half an hour before hand to prep for the day, especially for after hours returns, cleaning, keys, etc.

Place was extremely clean & staff was knowledgeable & professional. They went above & beyond to help me. Had I not been at this location when I tried to unload my vehicle I would have had an accident because the Tampa location refused to give me operating instructions. When I backed up to off load my vehicle, I had disengaged the transport from the truck, not knowing this was wrong as I never used one before. The transport took off with my vehicle on it, I had to jump out & attempt to manually stop it from sliding backwards, I am not strong enough for that being a small woman. The gentleman working ran out & helped me stop it before hitting anything. He put his personal safety aside to help me from a stupid move. This young man was my hero, I tried to tip him to thank him but he refused it & simply told me he was glad no one was hurt. This young man deserves a huge raise for going above & beyond. I will forever be grateful to him.

The woman at the counter was EXCELLENT when I picked up the van. The van was in GREAT condition, however, there was a cigarette burn in the seat that I didn't see til I left the premises I know they can't control the behavior of their customers, but they had one that is a regular on Sundays from what he says, he got in the door first, and all he did was chat up the poor woman working, then proceeded to discuss the level of prostitutes in the area. It was super uncomfortable to the only two people in the room, me and the female employee. The location was convenient for me, but the homeless guys on the street hanging out next to the van were a little too close, and were also talking about more disgusting things. As a woman, I probably will find another location because of that. Either that, or move the vehicles closer to the building so a customer won't have to deal with that.

I didn't know if the secondary contact didn't answer their phone I couldn't rent the UHaul. On a Sunday it would have been nice to know because no one answers their phones when its a strange number so that too 20 minutes and you have no place for me to tell you the light came on for an oil change. You just ask if it stayed on which it didn't, flashed on and off.

Pricing reminds me of the old built and switch. The 19.99 truck I rented cost almost $65. ( plus gas total was closer to $80. I put gas in it, returned it 3 hours early, ( on a 8 hour rental) drove 44 miles total round trip. You all are very misleading. I'll definitely explore other options. Too much fine print. Basically the customer never knows the cost until you are done. Buyer be ware situation.

The staff was so nice and helpful! It got busy during my pickup and I struggled with the self check in, the owner jumped right in and helped me right away I never felt like I was being ignored. Great experience!

My only complaint is that when we finally got through the mobile check in process, and we found the truck assigned, the maintenance man informed us we could not take the truck and would need to take another one. The mobile app did not give us the option of choosing another truck. Which we didn't know until we began the check in process a second time. I was getting very frustrated! Finally I told the man that it didn't seem right to take a truck not assigned as there was no way for Uhaul to be able to hold us accountable if damage occurred. At this point he said the original truck was ready - apparently it wasn't clean at first. Your site states guaranteed rental would be available. I'm our case it was not as we had to wait 15 minutes past our pick up time.
