You gave me the wrong truck, when I went to return it they kept telling me truck was at wrong location when my contract said otherwise, made me stay there for over 1 hour trying to fix UHaul mistake, had me scheduled to do to NC instead of Parkforest, IL. Was a complete mess!! Man at Parkforest locator tried to help but looks like UHaul made him wait on hold for over 40 minutes and did not provide him with tops to fix the problemSparkle B.

Did not have a wrench available to swap 1 7/8" ball already installed with 2" also provided by me. Instead my wife was forced to purchase a UHaul hitch with the 2" ball installed. If website wss clearer on what size ball was required, I would have installed that size. In either case, I'm surprised no one could (or would) change the ball for her, it would have taken minutes. Enjoy the additional $45. So much for customer service.ED M.

Although the truck was clean It was mechanically a hazard. the engine did not want to shift out of second gear until it reached 3000 rpm, the brakes could have been better and when braking, a loud clunk was heard (assuming) from the transmission. Not reasuring at all.David M.

My reservation was set days in advance to pick up my rental and they do not have in there nor notify me that I had to pick something else. The Uhaul van that I selected wasn't inspected for gas before I left the premises and they charged me for what I didn't use. The workers at the location were loud and very unprofessional in addressing my concerns.Danielle L.
The storage unit I used had a very bad leak coming from two or three places. I lost some valuable items. If I should have to used another one of your storages it will not be a used up box truck. Also I had a problem getting thru the gate because of what ever reason my code will never work from the first day I arrived I always had to get one of the staff members to come out to open gate. Also for what you charge for rental it shouldn't be $50 dollars to cut a lock off especially when you don't allow them to cut lock off themselves. I was told my vehicle was already checked out and ready. I photographed my mileage and gas gauge before moving unit from parking spot on rental lot. That wasn't what was on my econtract. I was told just fill it back up. I believe the staff are doing something the Uhaul company is not aware of. I will be submitting complaints on the check in staff who were rude and down right nasty. They were not like any of the staff I have been served by in the past. All of my past rentals were a great bargain and the staff were great. This time I got the worst of the worst when I checked in the unit. It was especially demeaning to have the male staff member tell me " Bra it's what I say and you shoulda looked at it earlier,I'm charging yo card" just a horrible company representative. At this time I would not want to be a customer again. After experience I would not advise patronizing this company in the future if these employees are indicative of what the company has became. I WILL be posting my experience with Uhaul on my union's national vendor web site so other members can be aware of this location and staff tactics. The phone experie was horrendous. Park Forest and Glenwood were Totally UNprofessional. UNprepared. NOT Knowledgeable. NOT efficient. It was never disclosed to me that I had to pay a $100 deposit. My Granson waited at the Glenwood facility almost 30mins before he had to go "FIND" someone to assist him. The call center rep told me I could send a family member to check in as long as they had my email. Not the case, I couldn't get in my storage unit. I made 5-6 calls for two days to finally resolve my rental. Waaay too stressful!!! Completely UNBELIEVABLY SCARY even. My time, energy, money, etc were totally disrespected. I went to the location twice and had the appointment canceled after I got there. The first time was because corporate made the appointment without confirming with the location; the installer was not available that day. The second time the installer did not have the tools needed for the installation; the local management had not confirmed the needs with the installer. You should advise customers who do online to do the COMPLETE rental begore the arrive to pick up vehicle. The online rental is very convenient but you should have customers do the approval process before you secure the rental. The approval priocess took 45 minutes. You also so should tell them to download the app for quicker approval. Letting them know that you are gonna need front and back pictures of their drivers license. You are going to verify with another person who needs to answer their phone feom an unknown number. Overall online process was good!Ivetta J.

I was quoted one price, billed more than 65 extra. Called Uhaul and spoke to Jason eho spoke down to me, very snappy very unprofessional and mean. He realized I had been overcharged and told me he would take off the amount he chose and that's it. I informed him how I am a repeat customer and was not happybwith the eay he was treating me. I reserved a climate controlled storage unit & ended up with something different because it had been rented out before I arrived. There was little to no availability and your system doesn't match what is exactly available & what wasn't. I also did receive an access card, I was only given an option of a 6 digit code. The clerk when I arrived was there alone because a co-worker failed to show up so that delayed the process after an already long day. The unit was difficult to find and the staff member initially told me I was at the wrong place. Of which I was not. Once the unit was actually located by myself, the door was broken and was unable to be opened. I walked back to the office, and the staff member told me that the unit next to it was empty to use that one. I walk back to the unit and that new unit was in fact not empty. I walk back to the office to have the staff member help with the door on the unit I was assigned and the staff member determined that the spring to the door was broken. They had no additional units and I had to sit in their parking lot calling different places in order to find storage, while having my moving truck there ready to be unloaded. I had an awful experience! I traveled from out of state and needed to return a 15" truck and auto transporter, as well as to rent a storage unit. Things took a turn for the worse as I needed help/guidance to get my car off the transporter. I was told that they would not be able to help due to policy. I was informed that they could get someone over to help but I would need to pay that person $20-$30 dollars. I felt as if I was being scammed out of money. I immediately got on the phone with customer service to schedule another location for drop off. I also canceled my storage unit and requested a refund (which I'm still waiting on the reversal to be applied to my account). The reason for this is because I didn't trust them, and I've never experienced this type of customer service from Uhaul. Uhaul has always been my go to for storage and moving needs. I reserve my unit online using the website. I was giving unit 0717 but upon arrival that unit was already taken. The associate inside the facility was very helpful and she was able to assigned me a new storage unit that wasn't assigned to no one else. She made the process very smooth and she was able to do it all while we loaded our items into the storage unit once we were finished loading up she came outside with the correct paperwork showing our new storage unit number. I am beyond happy with the service that she provided she was nice and helpful and she completed the task in a timely matter. See the reason why I waited this experience at excellent. The online process needs to be updated so another customer won't be assigned a storage unit that's already assigned to someone else God for bid if they came after hours wants to facility with clothes then they wouldn't be able to load the items into the storage unit plus they would have wasted all their time loading a uhaul for no reason.Toriano W. | Online Move In

Your employee Takeisha Stennis was truly amazing. She went over and beyond to help resolve an unfair charge I received from a rental over two years ago. It was a mistaken late charge and I couldn't proceed forward with the rental until I paid it. She was compassionate and followed up to ensure it was resolved. One of the young ladies that assisted me was pleasant, the other had an unpleasant attitude. I was given one unit, and a lock was already on it. The unit I have has glue mouse traps all over so I can't use the space in the corners! Also I don't want mice in my belongings! I'm going to find somewhere else because this is disturbing and is also prohibiting me from full use of the space.
