You can not charge bogus fuel fees!! I was charged $90 for 15 gallons of fuel, having only driven the vehicle 51 miles and I actually filled the tank back to where it was when I picked it up. Now I will have to spend time and effort in getting back what I was overcharged, when it should not have been charged initially.

The truck was the cleanest moving truck I've ever used (in 15 years of moving). The customer service reps were friendly...but I wish they would have shown me which truck was mine and helped me with the blankets.

Everyone was very pleasant the guy that check me out was super fast and nice..my problem was check in the truck. I arrived and the guys were checking trucks so I pulled up not knowing the process for returning I thought just to go in and finalize now it 7:03 and the guy say we're closed,I pulled up before 7pm he just pointed to sign and walked away! I'm very big on customer service..this was one of the above and beyond moments. There are plenty of truck rentals in the area but I went to this location

I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone. My issue was with the Hammond IN location. Someone cancelled my reservation for 11 am and rescheduled my reservation for 5pm without my knowledge. Plus I scheduled moving help for 11:30am. My move experience was extremely disappointing because of U-Haul!

I have been renting trailers here for years and never had to pay security deposit for using a bank debit card. And when I questioned it was told just punch in my passcode. Then another employee jumped in and said it's always been like that and I needed to pay security or step aside and let other customers to the counter. I Went to my truck and got the previous 4 rental receipts with no security deposit on the same card. Was told take it or leave it. If I didn't have to go on the road that day I would have left. When I got to Columbia MO they told me I shouldn't have to pay security deposit only with pre-paided debit cards I have bank debit card. Will not go back to this location again the 2 male employees need an attitude adjustment.

The location and store were good, my issue is that I made a reservation at the Markham store and was forced to go to the Park forest store because Uhaul could not honor the reservation. What's the point of a reservation if you can not honor it??? The manager at park forest was great and got me a 10' truck even though my reservation was for a 15' but that was all he had. Uhaul as a company was very unprofessional and needs to treat there customers with respect. This experience was terrible and cost me time and money. Never again!!

Short staffed and assigned a unit that had locks on it. There was confusion with another unit and I had to wait an extended amount of time to be assisted. When I called on the phone I was put on hold and no one returned.

The person that checked me out was preoccupied by the man standing at her sid talking to her and was completely disinterested in was I needed. Four hours later they called to retrieve a truck I was told I had 24 hours on acting as if I had stolen it!!! I was even made to pay for a lock I didn't need. The first truck that the clerk assigned to me was a 17' truck. The box was so damaged that it was off centered and at an angle in relation to the tires below, instead of being parallel. I refused to take that vehicle. There were no other 17 footers available so I had to take a 15' truck instead. That night when I tried to return the truck after hours, neither the app or the website worked as far as completing the return. I called customer service and spoke with Karla. The self return wasn't working for her either. I saw what I believe was a late return charge on my account for a week. Also I was charged $15 for a gas difference that didn't warrant it!!! I was not satisfied with this experience

Reserved a truck online and paid for it, got to U-Haul 30 mins after pick up time and was told that they already released it to someone else. Told me I could take the truck that was just returned which meant I had to make another contract. The "manager" typed up the contract said it would be $58 plus change. I inquired as to why it was that amount for a 19.99 truck. He stated that's just the amount it is, and I would get it back if I don't go over the miles he reported, then mumbled, Black Folks", (as if Black people are the only ones who inquire about what they feel is an overcharge). He printed the contract, never explained charges, nor asked if I wanted to buy insurance. (I didn't, had my own) I responded back with offense to the comment "Black Folk". Anyway, I paid it and went on my way as I had another appointment. Got in the truck to find it had a low air pressure caution light on, checked the tire, it was a little low, but no big deal, so I just took a picture of both and started on my way. Returned the truck in 4 hrs., was told by a young lady that everything was fine, and that I would get a receipt in my email. Next day I get the receipt and see that the reason the charges were higher than previous charges is because he added insurance to my contract without my consent. ($15.00) I was angry because I felt that he charged me unnecessarily for something that I did not need nor agreed to. You can improve service by teaching appropriate customer courtesy, make sure trucks are safe, and don't charge for something that is not agreed to.

I reserved a climate controlled storage unit & ended up with something different because it had been rented out before I arrived. There was little to no availability and your system doesn't match what is exactly available & what wasn't. I also did receive an access card, I was only given an option of a 6 digit code. The clerk when I arrived was there alone because a co-worker failed to show up so that delayed the process after an already long day. So due to the lack of storage space & professionalism, I will never refer this facility to anyone else.

The unit was difficult to find and the staff member initially told me I was at the wrong place. Of which I was not. Once the unit was actually located by myself, the door was broken and was unable to be opened. I walked back to the office, and the staff member told me that the unit next to it was empty to use that one. I walk back to the unit and that new unit was in fact not empty. I walk back to the office to have the staff member help with the door on the unit I was assigned and the staff member determined that the spring to the door was broken. They had no additional units and I had to sit in their parking lot calling different places in order to find storage, while having my moving truck there ready to be unloaded. Ultimately I booked with Extra Space storage whose unit was clearly in much condition and all doors worked properly.

They over charged me I only drove 50 to 70 miles max. They charged me for 211 miles in 2 hours, this is not possible. I would have to drive the truck 100+ miles an hour the whole time I had the truck with no time to load or unload. I have gone back to the store with no resolution and Ive emailed with no response. I scheduled a pick-up in Wilmington IL, but the day before scheduled pick-up, U-Haul moved my location to this one, which is a 45-minute drive away. I had scheduled this pick-up three months in advance, so why couldn't they honor the request? It cost me 1 1/2-hour drive and gas to get the trailer, when it should have been a five-minute drive.

I had an awful experience! I traveled from out of state and needed to return a 15" truck and auto transporter, as well as to rent a storage unit. Things took a turn for the worse as I needed help/guidance to get my car off the transporter. I was told that they would not be able to help due to policy. I was informed that they could get someone over to help but I would need to pay that person $20-$30 dollars. I felt as if I was being scammed out of money. I immediately got on the phone with customer service to schedule another location for drop off. I also canceled my storage unit and requested a refund (which I'm still waiting on the reversal to be applied to my account). The reason for this is because I didn't trust them, and I've never experienced this type of customer service from Uhaul. Uhaul has always been my go to for storage and moving needs. Please fix this issue!

I reserve my unit online using the website. I was giving unit 0717 but upon arrival that unit was already taken. The associate inside the facility was very helpful and she was able to assigned me a new storage unit that wasn't assigned to no one else. She made the process very smooth and she was able to do it all while we loaded our items into the storage unit once we were finished loading up she came outside with the correct paperwork showing our new storage unit number. I am beyond happy with the service that she provided she was nice and helpful and she completed the task in a timely matter. See the reason why I waited this experience at excellent. The online process needs to be updated so another customer won't be assigned a storage unit that's already assigned to someone else God for bid if they came after hours wants to facility with clothes then they wouldn't be able to load the items into the storage unit plus they would have wasted all their time loading a uhaul for no reason.

Your employee Takeisha Stennis was truly amazing. She went over and beyond to help resolve an unfair charge I received from a rental over two years ago. It was a mistaken late charge and I couldn't proceed forward with the rental until I paid it. She was compassionate and followed up to ensure it was resolved. I had a negative feeling about Uhaul and she turned that completely around. She is the reason Uhaul is keeping us as a customer. Great job!!

One of the young ladies that assisted me was pleasant, the other had an unpleasant attitude. I was given one unit, and a lock was already on it. The unit I have has glue mouse traps all over so I can't use the space in the corners! Also I don't want mice in my belongings! I'm going to find somewhere else because this is disturbing and is also prohibiting me from full use of the space. Unfortunately, I had no other choice in the moment because I couldn't find another facility on such short notice. I would not recommend this site.

I picked up all my stuff and I lost everything.. there was mouse pop everywhere, they chews through bags and pictures. All my daughters childhood was destroyed. Then they had the nerve to want to charge me $80 for not taking or touching all that stuff. I was not going to risk my health for what that looked like covered in pop.

The folks at the facility were fine. My displeasure is with corporate. My debit card was compromised and thus my automatic payment was declined and before I knew what had happened I was already fined and my back up person was contacted. No one bothered to see what the issue was, and it was my first occurrence . I have a high credit rating and rarely miss a payment on anything. In fact had this not happened i was going to open up a second unit. I will be staying at the other facility instead. I've been with them for 30 years without any issues.

Great experience over the last 5 1/2 years. Even though some of my things were ruined due to moisture in the unit. There was quite a bit of mice droppings as well. My interactions with staff were always pleasant and understanding. Kind regards, Nakia
