Terry B.When returning the UHaul, the young man taking the keys and going through the UHaul had nothing on him indicating he was and employee, I saw a young lady with her UHaul shirt on and she wasn't stopping him, so I assumed it was ok! I would think the intake person would be clearly recognizable as an employee!
Jarrett C.First rental did not have appropriate tires for snow. Truck got stuck four times on my plowed residential street and driveway, wasting half of my moving day. Second rental was smaller, had studded tires, and was great. No credits given for first truck. Still not sure if I received a partial refund for needing to use a less expensive smaller truck, even though it took more trips. All that aside, staff were very, very nice. It seemed like their options for helping me were limited by the uhaul system. Not impressed with uhaul as a company. Uhaul staff were very kind.

Clark K.I received so many calls saying things like your u-box just arrived after they had already dropped them off at my home. I am completely disgusted with the Manteca CA location as they changed the contract after they had my possessions leaving me no choice but to pay an additional $3700 when my pods should have been shipped together. I only decided to get an additional pod to ship a $1400 item would have never done that had I known I would be charged $3700 for the pod absolutely unacceptable and they wait until I left the state before telling me this what am I supposed to do fly back to unload a pod because they want to charge me 2.5 times the value of what's in the pod. Horrible experience with Manteca CA location at 255 Northgate Dr. I will never do business there again!

I asked the other worker what was wrong with him while she was showing me around (she was the manager and wonderful) and she said he was 'weird'. I don't think Elliot has emotional intelligence to recognize that his behavior was borderline aggressive the way he spoke to me. It was very odd, sort of like he was challenging me as the consumer. Hard to explain actually. Maybe there is video footage from 1/9 at around 1745. The manager was great and professional, unlike Elliot.

May I apologize for coming and checking out after 10pm quite a bit, when someone renewed the month due to the payment reminder error, they did not recognize that I had paid for the additional access. At times, I came before 5am and if I would park in front of the door of the bay then it would open right then. As I would see it on a dog walk, I knew when was right to come over and it made it fun, it always felt safe, thanks also for the awesomest plowing effort, without the terrible beeps, in all of Palmer. It was absolutely critical for me to transition from farm work in the fall to a later job and I grearly appreciate your example. It led me to decide to do work in what I feel is right and I can best benefit rather than for high pay. I'm likely going to connect with the non-climate control option up here in Fairbanks soon, going to see it today. Have a blessed holidays, thanks!

I booked online and it took him over an hour to help us get a uhaul. After, taking an hour he had us load all our own equipment into the uhaul and watched as we struggled to take the boxes etc outside. Our return experience was great and Bob, the manager was helpful and kind. It was only tho customer service agent who made our experience poor.

Later, I got a call that I hadn't paid for September. Presuming that the clerk misunderstood me, I paid for another month. After that, I was issued a bill for September. When I called, the clerk apologized and understood I had paid. Problems with computers?

Extra days were given because we were traveling through Canada and two separate bridges had issues causing longer travel times.

David S. | First ImpressionsWe made two reservations online, and neither of them was in your system when we came in, despite giving you the confirmation number we received in the confirmation emails we received. We had to make another reservation with the staff in person. As for the storage unit - we made a reservation for an 8x10x9 unit for our 2-bedroom home. We didn't start loading our household goods into the unit immediately and instead sent our teenage son to drop off boxes one at a time. I came to the unit to unload some of the things my son had dropped off in the unit and discovered that the unit we had been renting for the last couple of months was quite smaller than the unit we had reserved, and we had been overcharged the entire time. The staff helped refund the overcharge and helped to rent us a truck for our move. We were happy that everything had been fixed and had nothing but nice things to say, despite all that had already gone wrong - the staff was nice about correcting the errors. We've been in our new home for two weeks, and I have received overdue notices from U-haul on four occasions stating that I owe overdue rent and new fees for non-payment. Today I received one that charges additional fees for liens and late fees - all of this on an account that was closed a week before the notice was even printed and sent out. I have called on two occasions to ask that these notices stop being sent, yet they continue. These overdue notices are being sent to my sister's house as well, making it look like I haven't paid a debt I owe. I owe no debt to U-Haul. Now, the continual sending of these notices makes it so l must explain to my sister and her family the incompetence of the systems and employees at U-Haul, from the failed reservations to the overcharging for rooms that are so small the staff doesn't even recognize the size, to the continual billing of rent and fees to a customer who closed out their account and paid in full weeks prior. The continual threatening bills have soured an experience that, while already comically full of failure on the part of U-Haul, wasn't so bad that we wouldn't recommend it. The repeated requests to have these bills stop being sent out and the negative nature of what continues to be sent put a spotlight on the entirety of the customer service, which is sorely lacking. Please stop sending me any bills or marketing material. My account with U-Haul is closed, and I would like to keep it that way.
