Lied to me! Very unprofessional! Brought truck back to the wrong location told me it was OK to leave it there didn't tell me they were going to change me a extra day. If they would have told me they would change a extra day l would have brought it to the other one 5 miles away! This was a nightmare experience in which your customer service sent me to another location, promising to cover the extra gas mileage, only to try and hit me with a charge over $600 when I returned the truck. I refused to pay it because it is incorrect, so the frustrated worker who could not handle the pressure, let me know how miserable he was that I needed his help. His supervisor was also unable to help, and flustered. They needed a manager named Adam to come and assist, but no one could get a hold of him. They finally managed to get dispatch to lower the price to about $200, which I refused to pay because the price should have been zero. Frustrated that I wouldn't give them $200 for no reason, they told me to go ahead and leave, and they would handle the situation. About a week later I got a bill for the full $600. I won't be paying it. I will be suing U-HaulDana W.
The manager was amazing! His name was Adam, and he really made the experience a pleasant one. I would highly recommend this location and I will always tell them to ask for Adam! Please tell him thank you from us!Jamie A.

I've had no problems the couple times I've rented a truck. The guys are always wonderful. However, I so frustrated with the storage side of the business. I only had the van for a couple hours and only drove 8 miles to pick up some furniture and put it in my storage unit that I've had since last fall. I had asked about getting into the storage and he gave me a security card since I was not given one that I ever remember having. So when got there i see 3 keypads. I read every sign a few times to see which pad I needed to use. They all appeared the same with no distinguishing rules that stood out. I swiped my card and it wouldn't work. So I did it again. And again. So then I hit the call button as instructed on the directions. I did that many times with no results. I tried calling but the call forwarded out of state so I finally just walked in because my helper needed to leave. After they left, I went through all those same procedures again. No reply from the call button after hitting it many times. I tried calling again and finally ellie answered. I was already irritated and I did not want to deal with her after the chaos she caused me a few months when she contacted me to inform me that my storage open and empty. That's a other sad customer service story. She never even vetoed any info at all before sending me that email. I literally had just paid my storage rent 2 hours before she emailed me. So many errors and I still don't think any of you really understand how that was a traumatic thing to hear because of the hell I was going through while all our belongings sat in 2 storage units. I easily could have suffered serious health issues when getting that news. It was shitty and no one ever apologized. So now back to this shitty day. Ellie walks over and says oh it works and tells me I can't use the key pad I was using like I should have known that. That system gives zero instructions and is soooo ridiculous. No clear instructions at all and then making me look like an idiot and that pisses me off beyond words. Ellie acknowledges that there is no instructions and they are all aware of this issue but still your company doesn't care about frustrating and pissing off your customers and make no attempts at fixing that. My install granite countertops for a living and my truck needed a repair that put it in the shop for a full day. It is not a repair that afforded me a loaner. I instantly thought of U Haul. (I drive by the Odlin rd location every day.) I stopped in and told them that I needed a truck for one day for about 100 miles round trip. They had exactly what I needed and I was out the door with keys in hand in less than 15 minutes!!!! The guy that waited on me was great! He reminded me a few times not to forget to put gas in it before I dropped it off because he didn't want to see me have to pay the bill for not gassing it up before I dropped it off. (MOST companies in the rental business hope you forget so they can bill your card extra for it) Great company, great location, great guy that helped me!! I might have lost a day's pay if not for U Haul!!!!jason F.

It's always busy which is a good thing. However, the online reservations need to do a better job confirming reservations with customers because it makes it hard on the local stores because they don't always have the information sent to them. It causes hard feelings fir the customer and makes it hard for the local store. This particular store does an awesome job offering excellent customer service and Adam Hasenback the manager does a great job keeping everything going and getting customers what they need.Andrea C.

Brakes on vehicle were grinding, and the alignment was way off on the steering. I called customer service within minutes of leaving the pickup location and asked for the location management to call, and did not receive a call back during any of the 4 days I had the vehicle. U-haul rented me a parking spot in their parking lot for $65 per month. U-haul deducted $65 from my account for 24 months. Someone cut the catalytic converter off my passenger van. U-haul said they're not responsible because they don't rent parking spaces in their parking lot. If that is the case then why did U-haul rent me the spot and why did U-haul take money out of my account each month? Set up a drop off location different than the pick up location and decided after that it would be more convenient to drive it back to where I picked it up, and the person I talked to on the phone said that there would be a 400$ fee if I dropped it off where I picked it up, and for that reason I will never rent a u haul again and will help a friend out rather than reccomend them to use a u haul!HARVEY P.

There are several things to improve. The "engine check" light was on the whole day. I beleive the car was behind inspection by one month. The back door was frozen shut. The self service website is poorly desgined either desktop version or phone version. Please take that down. The layout of the property is not well designed and not many people were around to help me. I did the website version for my expersion and I really regret it. I would really suggest that people go UHAUL in person to do their business. I have learned this the hardway.thomas O.

the truck ran great, However, It had just come back from being a long term rental. The inside of the windshield was hazy dense smoky. This I had to clean, what with a January sky and the sun low on the horizon for most of the trip. The windshield wash fluid was empty. The worst issue was either a dead rodent in the heating system or residue from said rodent. It was below 0 for the entire trip but i was forced to ride with the window down . This should have been dealt with before this van went back into service. I appreciate the $20 discount but it hardly makes up for a terrible experience.MARK P.

Karen should be removed from her position effective immediately for treating me so badly. I have a fatal disease called ALS and live in a house with a garage door opener to which I have a remote to and I also have 10 animals and Karen lied and said I was living there when I have a house and a garage remote and 10 animals. She even lied to the cops and lied that was attacking her and threatening her. What was I going to charge her with my walker. She wasted my time and gave me emotional distress and refused me a full refund and went too far. She will be hearing from my attorney and should be gravely ashamed of herself for the way she treated a dying person. Then to send me a letter in my email saying I hope u continue to use uhaul. Our experience with this temperature controlled facility was flawless for the three years used. Perhaps it could be considered a bit pricey for the time frame, but we found it well worth it for our piece of mind. I had the Worst customer service experience with Caren Webb. The general manager. When I first open my storage unit, I noticed she was giving me attitude and I couldn't figure out why but maybe she was having a bad day I don't know. The next time I came in to make a payment, she had attitude even worse and one statement she said that she wasn't going to lose her job over something she would do for me which was something simple like reducing the price payment or waiving the late fee. When I was walking away I had a bad day to begin with and her sarcasm words of "have a nice day" started to make my blood boil because nobody should be working customer service that has an attitude such as this. I've been doing customer service for over 20 years and I have never once matched a customers tone, and funny thing is I didn't even have a tone I was trying to explain to her about my hardship and she had no empathy for a customer who was clearly emotional and was hopeful that somebody would be willing to provide some sort of relief. That didn't happen! I in fact I walked out of there highly upset and wrote a very extended long email to corporate which nothing had happened as far as I know. Yesterday November 27 around 3 PM I arrive At the storage unit to clear out my belongings so I could close out my account and Simone was working along with I believe Sean and another nice young man, Simone contacted Karen and Karen told her to tell me that I would have to come in at six in the morning to speak with her. Little did she know that I had rented a pick up truck to remove all my storage belongings so I asked the moon for her email address. I emailed Karen and I will attach the email so you can see for yourself that I was not nasty in anyway. I waited 15 minutes did not hear back from the email so I called her and had her on speakerphone while inside the Uhaul shop and her employees could hear her but she didn't know as of yet. She had raised her voice and brought up the reason why she had a grudge towards me which was because I used to work at Dunkin' Donuts for her and unfortunately I had to leave the job without notice due to legal issues. Why would she take that personal? Good question. But as far as being a general manager I don't know if she's treated other customers this way but I wouldn't doubt it. I ended up speaking to Becky. Who was extremely helpful and let me pay five dollars to clear out my unit and sign a closing account paper. But caren Webb Should really think about what she is saying to customers and how she is saying it because and taking your personal issues to work, is not professional at all! By far one of the most worst General managers I've ever had to deal with because she took it personally. Not to mention I was under extreme stress already due to my current situation, I had to wait three hours and 40 minutes before I was finally able To clear out my storage unit. That's when Becky came in and told me I could do the five dollar good Samaritan contract sign off. There was one month that we paid on time, as we always did, and U Haul misplaced the check.. We got a nasty letter saying we were late and our grown son received a noticed stating that we were delinquent. We did NOT appreciate that as we ALWAYS pay promptly and the mistake was on your end. My first contact was Rwanda, she was extremely friendly, kind, thorough, and diligent in assisting my needs, ave concerns. I was under a lot of stress, and Rwanda's experience was much appreciated. When I arrived at the Uhaul facility in Bangor, I was met me Kevin, and Trevor. Both gentleman, I use this word because that is exactly what they were. Kevin worked swiftly, and again thoroughly to help me with this sudden and emotional move. Kevin made sure I understand all that was invited, and kindly guided me to making choices that world ensure an easy move. When I encountered differently with the truck I received, Trevor quickly said "no problem" . Our move into the storage was also easy, and all the dollies were of great help.
