I had tried to use a different location and when I got there they did not have the equipment that I had reserved and the personnel where not great. When I went to the International location Hawk was very friendly, helpful and made the whole transaction a pleasure! I will drive an extra 40 minutes to rent from Hawk from now on!

I needed to have a hitch installed on my vehicle and had so many questions. He answered all of them clearly, both on the phone and in person, and was very personable and friendly. He even went so far as to warn me about the wiring kit I initally picked out and how this could affect my warranty (I have a brand new car and would of voided my warranty entirely had he not told me about hard versus quick wiring). He special ordered, and expeditited, this new kit for me to make sure it would be there on time for my appointment. He completed the installation earlier than expected and was a gentleman all around. I can't say enough, Hawk is truly an asset to Uhaul. This store is brand new, so many trucks and trailers in stock (not like other locations where it can be limited), very clean and easy to get to (right off 85, exit 70). Thank you again for making this a great experience (and for saving me money in the end).

One page of my Uhaul website said it was still in South Carolina awaiting shipment to CA (It said this the day it was delivered). Another screen said it arrived in CA on June 13th, 3 days after it was packed and 2 weeks before we actually got it. We called the day it was “Guaranteed†to be delivered, and we were told it hadn't yet arrived in CA so we wouldn't be getting it. Then we were told an hour later that it WOULD be delivered that day, and that it was at a completely different store than the one that originally called to set up delivery. I don't know how your computer systems could be so messed up. It was very frustrating.
Ellen S.I had a disc lock and asked about using it on the truck. This was my first time driving a U-haul. The individual told me that it would work. If the lock couldn't go through all 3 holes, I could use 2 holes. However, I wish they were more specific on which holes to use. When I arrived at my destination, the door has open. I lost a bag en route. Thankfully, I didn't lose much of my other items.

Marty I.Would like in the future to be able to reserve the U-Haul rental storage before I leave with the truck rental because I was told I couldn't reserve my unit until the day I needed it... On the morning I was supposed to get my rental unit I spoke with four different people in two different states and Actually drove to two different locations before I could get two 10x10 storage units instead of the one 10 by 20 storage unit which actually cost me more money and way too much stress and too much time to schedule it. I have dealt with you all in the past and had great customer service but this time was 100% the opposite in scheduling !!!!

John D.I ordered a pickup truck with a 5 x9 trailer with ramp for pick up Friday 4-8-22 days in advance originally from the Whitney road location. I was called informed that the equipment I ordered had to be picked up at 1500 international drive where it was in stock. I arrive at the new location on the day of my pickup they didn't have the pickup truck available like I was told they would. So I had to spend an extra 21 miles total round trip going to international drive because they were suppose to have the equipment I ordered. Instead of Whitney road when is within a mile of my home. I Should have been contacted letting me know they were out of availability for the pickup I ordered 4 days in advance.

Although customer service was nice, the representatives got things wrong such as shipping it to the right address and the time and day they were very late. They kept switching the dates of the drop off to my home without notice. They have done q lot of things that j did not understand. But again not the locations fault.

When I explained this to the csr he was unsympathetic and told me he could not refund me for the extra mileage and i should have just left van there. I also tried calling , and the wait time was 50-60 minutes which is also unacceptable.

This is in no way a reflection on Steve August or his staff. They just don't have enough people. They iare expected to be in the office handling walk-ins and answering the phone, but they also need to show new customers their units and go over the rules and regulations etc. Problem is there is only one person scheduled to handle all of that. UHAUL needs to hire more staff to take care of customers needs in a timely effecient manner. When someone did answer the phone, they were friendly, polite and knowledgeable and took care of my issues.

The final straw was the night of Nov. 7th I had professional movers come to finish packing for our move to Utah and was unsuccessful gaining access to the building. The movers had to go, so I was forced to finish my move with a rental trailer cost and an additional months rent on my storage unit because it renewed on the 9th. The person who was in charge, Steve, acknowledged the problem with access to the building and apologized for the inconvenience but UHaul corporate does not assist with discounts..

The storage unit leaked water on my belongings, ruining a few pieces of furniture, and there was no attempt to make it right. I get opting out of the insurance, but not even an apology or attempt to fix the unit. It was as if I should have known that was a risk of renting a storage unit. I would not recommend.
