I had visited this site and being a first time uhaul customer prepared for 20 ft truck two months prior to my moving date. The 20 ft was a must due to street access at the destination. Two days prior to my moving date the truck was on site and available. The site manager was very helpful and we did all prep for appliances dolly, moving dolly, furniture blankets and vehicle insurance. Good to go. Damned if your maintenance group didnt pull the ONLY 20 ft truck on site for overdue maintenance. Why try to schedule anything with Uhaul?ALVIN O.
I would recommend this place. But just know I reserved a 9ft van and got confirmation. But when I got there I was given a 15ft truck. He charged me correctly. But I had to use more gas which cost me alot more than I budgeted for. I wasn't happy about this but I needed to transport something yesterday on my day off. When my Ubox is Guaranteed to be stored in one place to be delivered at my home but ends up in another area, it becomes very inconvenient to have it delivered to my home if they say it's out of their delivery area.George T.

Your 100 miles free is definitely a tricky policy. Good one! I paid $101 for 85 miles but had I gone 101 miles I would have only paid for the one mile over 100. Very tricky.SANDRA M.

Worked with Hawk Hawkins in Spartanburg. That man deserves a big pay raise! He was friendly, helpful and made our entire UHaul experience a great success. Move in was extremely smooth and easy. Location is amazingly huge, clean and has everything needed for moving in one place. I was very impressed. One issue… Our unit number does not appear on the map of the facility. #343 Even the staff was surprised. You need to correct the map. The utility truck was dirty and had animal hair on the seats. It had red mud all in the back. I had dust and sticky stuff on the dashboard, on the door and on the floor. We didn't make them aware of this but all they did was wipe out a little bit of a mud in the back of the utility van. Was not satisfied at all.Mary J.

I had a reservation at the Whitney Ave (Spartanburg, SC) location but the trailer had a six inch dry rot crack in the tread of one tire that I found when hooking up the trailer. They then transferred my reservation to this location. The trailer here had a large framing nail in the tire that I found as we were hooking up the trailer. I asked for a replacement tire and they agreed to that and quickly made a tire change. Both locations originally said the tires were holding pressure and were ok to go. That is the wrong answer when doing a 500 mile round trip. Please step up your safety standards. You used to be the best.Philip R.

Reserved trailer online, when I arrived at the facility to pick it up had to wait an hour to get trailer. Not sure if the issue training, lack of understanding, or just old equipment. Why do I need to put all the information to reserve the equipment? If Ot needs to be re-entered when I pick up the equipment?Don R.

Our experience ended well. But it was extremely frustrating when we got word that told us our boxes would not be delivered on the day that we had arranged a month before. We were supposed to get them delivered to us on Saturday and on the Thursday before that we got a text from someone from U-Haul saying they would not be delivered until Tuesday. We had already made arrangements, people had taken the time off and rearranged schedules to help us, so it became extremely frustrating that we could not get them on Saturday. As it turned out, we had to get a truck from U-Haul, empty our boxes ourselves, and unload them at our house. It was an extra, exhausting, and time consuming effort that we had to make in order to fit our pre-planed time frame. Daniel helped us with the arrangements but it was still very frustrating that we had to do the extra step and the extra work to get our boxes.Joe T.

The young man who assisted with picking up the equipment was awesome, wonderful personality, and a great pleasure with whom to deal.
