Make sure you check your equipment I received a truck at night time you can see where you going lights are pointing straight down. Shakes really bad and the steering wheel had a lot of play in it. I was honestly very afraid of driving the truck.

The staff was courteous. The facility had continuous issues with unlit alarms and access after office hours. The final straw was the night of Nov. 7th I had professional movers come to finish packing for our move to Utah and was unsuccessful gaining access to the building. The movers had to go, so I was forced to finish my move with a rental trailer cost and an additional months rent on my storage unit because it renewed on the 9th. The person who was in charge, Steve, acknowledged the problem with access to the building and apologized for the inconvenience but UHaul corporate does not assist with discounts..

Equipment should be swept out before new rental customer. Storage unit should be better protected from insects and rodents. Many spiders and cocroaches. Signs of mice. Several items had to be thrown out due to this.

The only issue i had was that I reserved a 15 foot truck and ended up getting a 26 foot truck. I was disappointed that I was not given a discount due to the extra fuel I needed to spend to drive a much larger truck than I reserved. I feel that there should had been some type of compensation for this.

*********BOGUS CHARGES************ Returned unit at 4:30PM, and they close at 7PM. I was given a charge for late return, as this group didn't return the unit until the next day. I've had to call and wait extended periods on the phone with U-Haul billing. They had to call this location, since they can't correct on their end. Now I have to wait another extended period on this location to call me and try to resolve again.

If you rent a transport trailer make sure the vehicle your renting it for will fit. My silverado did not and i never received a notice of credit for the trailer.

Hire more staff. The place was full when I picked up and when I dropped off. The staff was overwhelmed with buisness and could not get to customers in a timely manner. I'm not a whinner, I mean 15min just to say can I help you. If you want a big facility staff it!

I originally rented from a different location because it was closer then the one in Spartanburg. You guys changed it on me last minute and I ended up spending more on mileage because it was farther away.

My experience was horrible not from this location but from the first location I went to. My rental wasn't ready at the first location and after 35 mins on the phone I was able to find a née rental. My first rental wasn't ready so where is my $50.00 guarantee?

Service was rude at pick up and drop off. Then, I got hit with an additional "cleaning" charge and submitted a dispute. Never even got a response on my dispute online, they just charged my card. Will not be using this location again. I've never had trouble renting trucks until using this location.

Work on the manger customer service he was rude and demeaning. He was un helpful. He did not walk me to the truck he pointed and mentioned it was either of the two. I informed him the truck was running funny he attempted to make me feel stupid and and portrayed like he was aggravated with me. I wanted wanted to purchase a lock he refused my cash and indicated I must use a card and then asked if I wanted my receipt. I have rented from uhual on several occasions. His customer service will have me looking into other moving companies.

Over all I would recommend UBox for personal move. However, due to lack of space for delivery of all boxes at once, I chose to haul them one at a time from U-Haul center to my home. I took 3 days off work to unload 5 boxes. The first day and a half was wasted because the fork lift was down, rental forklift forks were too short to load boxes onto trailer. I understand all that. What is not except able is no communication from U-Haul. I made several trips over (after being told when to come back) and several more phone calls. Finally got a text message late afternoon on second day. Then, tarp was caught under the box when loaded onto trailer so I couldn't open the door! One box had bent security plate, broken latches and misaligned hasp. The only thing holding the door closed was my lock! When I received it on the other end, it had 2 layers of shrink wrap holding it closed. Even the hasp was broken. When I pointed this out, I was told they received it that way from shipping store and not their problem! All small things but not a good impression for good customer service.

Very simple return process. Awesome looking facility (from the outside, didn't even have to go inside). Drove up, guy told me just to leave the key in the truck and I was good to go. Really easy process from start to finish. Uhaul really seems to have their act together. Would highly recommend their products and services to anyone. Thanks for everything.

Only one thing stands out that needs a fix. The staff is great but you are understaffed. There should be a minimum of 2 people there ALL the time. It is not right to expect ONE person to do this job, can not be done. Steve August is the best. Like most places today they understaff their business. Uhaul, be different than the rest hire more staff.

Needed better information on where to drop off and another person helping to handle the people in line. I waited and then was told you are good to go. They did not check the truck I guess until sometime after I left. If you do it this way, why not just have a box to drop the key in, would be much quicker.

Uhaul rep quoted $58 approx for a 17' rental. Vehicle was not at the location, was informed that I needed to pick it up about 45 min away. I originally indicated that I estimated a 8am -6:00pm need. Finally picked the veg up at 9:00 or so, returned it at 7:00pm. I was charged an additional day, double charged for hand truck and padding. With all the padding the amount due swelled to about $250 for the eight hour excursion, I was charged for some sort of “insurance” that I originally declined. I protested the charges and got the canned respond “ that I had disadvantaged another family but there were approx 30-35 similar vehicles in the yard”! What a crappy experience, I'll NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!!! The are other rental Agencies that I will seek out...

We were given equipment that was not adequate for the move. The truck would constantly shift hard and at 5 to 6000 rpms. It also was only getting around 5 miles to the gallon. We had to call road side and it put us around 4 hours off schedule. We then had to leave our auto transportation with them and had to drive our vehicle the rest of the way. It cost us an extra night and hotel stay that was not a cost we anticipated spending. Once the auto transport was off it still got the same gas miles and still shifted just as hard. Also when the tow mode was turned off it would still turn back on. We made this same exact move in March and it cost us around $400 in gas this time it cost around $1000. When we spoke with the roadside mechanic he said that the truck wasn't running right and put several bottles of engine treatments in it. We spoke to several customer service representatives and they said that we would be reimbursed for our auto transport and that the difference of the gas. Spoke with the location where we started and they were very rude and basically it was our problem. Our drop off location was very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. After this experience I will never want to use unadulterated again. I am not going to recommend it to anyone.

The Owner was working by himself. Made a comment to the long line of people standing in line that they can hire people all day long, but the “employees” just don't want to work. You could tell that he was frazzled. I spoke with the owner the day before I made my reservation, he said he was busy but would call me back. He never did. I ended up calling back the next day. My reservation was wrong. The truck was dirty. Smelled like cigarette smoke. There were ashes inside.

The gentleman that checked is in was very frustrated, because other uhaul places kept sending people to him not checking to see if the equipment was there or not. Plus, I feel there needs to be mor ess employees on the weekends I only saw one when we picked up and one when we dropped off this is probably another reason he was frustrated

A lot of trash and broken items in front of the storage building. When I mentioned it to the manager/owner, he said he knew about it and “hadn't gotten around to figure out who left the mess. No mention of it getting cleaned up. We swept the glass and large pieces of debris to the side so we wouldn't run over them.

The location was convenient, and easily accessible. I got locked out of the unit with no real notice. Management would not return emails requesting help. The storage unit leaked water on my belongings, ruining a few pieces of furniture, and there was no attempt to make it right. I get opting out of the insurance, but not even an apology or attempt to fix the unit. It was as if I should have known that was a risk of renting a storage unit. I would not recommend.

Love, love, love the climate control storage units. Staff friendly and helpful. The only needed is better layout of numbers to guide you to the right place. It is a bit confusing upstairs on the second floor in finding your unit. Love the convenience of being able to drive truck inside to load/unload if raining. A++++

The side entrance in and out of the place to get your items moved is absolutely insane! You have to have door stops to hold the door open so it won’t close on you. Not access friendly at all.
