We were scheduled to return the trailer to Midgard Self Storage in Lutz, FL. When we arrived, they said "that their lot was full". We had to return the trailer to the Official U-Haul Dealer 15 miles away in the opposite direction that we just came from. We should have received a message from U-Haul ahead of time - so not to waste our time and mileage. (Not very professional) We selected that location because we had rented a storage unit from them in the past. A very disappointing experience. The U-Haul North Tampa personnel were great and very attentive.Jack M.

Other local U-HAUL stores near by this location should take example of this store location. I was surprised at this store location being friendly,clean and listened to my question. The other store staff before was talking to each other on the phone and not listening to my concerns about the truck. Other location I've gotten my truck had a leak in the truck by the time I went to drop off my stuff at storage water got into the truck and damage my bed and TV. This was back in July. I didn't report it because I was very upset and they went open when I went to drop off and I had to leave out of state, was just so busy with life and my family. Have clarity on the amount of mileage one must prepay when taking possession of the vehicle. I estimated $50 online, was told i had to cover 250 miles at the location, which is about 10x the price of the day's rental fee. My card was able to cover it, but someone else's may not be. Also when i got in the truck i rented, the previous renter's rental agreement was over the cisor, and it showed he was only forced to prepy 15 miles. My card was held for $200+ upfront for a one day $19.95 rental. He walked out after paying only $33.10. That pissed me off pretty good.JERALD J.

The initial pick up was disorganized and very busy, with only one employee to assist a line of 10 people. We had a reservation for 9:00 am - 3 pm but we picked it up at 10 am and asked if we could drop it off at 4pm. We got back to the store at 3:30 with all of the equipment, however we weren't seen until a little after 4 and we got charged an extra day, double for the dolly rental and double for the safe move coverage, ultimately charging $100 extra. We had to drive back to the store to get the charges adjusted, however they said it would take 5-7 business days. The employee who assisted us when we went back to the store was helpful and said he'd talk to his manager and get it straightened out. Overall, the customer service was fine but the communication and sense of urgency is lacking and for those reasons I would not go back to this location.Danielle L.

I was given a trailer that had a bald tire, I brought it up to the guy who connected our trailer and was assured that it will be ok because we are doing a One-way trip. We were 20 miles from Arizona, in New Mexico when the tire blew and we had no service to contact anyone. I happened to have a full size spare that fit on the trailer to get us to closest city. Springerville, AZ was closest and they had a uhaul retailer that told me they can't help me because I didn't purchase insurance for my trailer. I had to purchase a new tire to finish our trip to Bullhead City, AZ. Cost us over $100. I have pictures of receipts and blown tire. Normal ware and tear on a trailer should be covered, worst experience ever. Very saddening:(Jennifer A.

Roof of uhaul had a leaking roof, and ruined 3 big boxes of my things, which was very upsetting, and cost me more money as well. And truck had lot of loud squealing sounds, when braking, and driving, it, on the two day trip from Fl to Texas, was not very secure, as I was worried, It would have mechanical problems, enroute, However, the most upsetting, was the leaking o roof, of inside wheee my boxes were, which I carefully packed, just to be ruined and wet due to Uhaul's negligence, of not upkeeping their trucks, and inspecting it to make sure it was ready for use, and this was very upsetting. I paid a lot, for this rental, and still had a loss, due to a leaky truck!Julie S.

Every time I would call this location, they never answered the phone. They pick up the call and place it on hold immediately for transfer to the 800#. There were some issues that the 800 number could not address and they then transfer the call to the branch just for the branch to route the call back. As a customer this was very very very frustrating, and I will not be renting from this location again. I have never experienced this type of service from any other Uhaul.Kendra G.

When we dropped our truck off after hours, the return lanes were packed. We could not pull our truck in safely off of Florida avenue and had to park it along the customer parking spots. There was no one to assist, no number posted on the building for help, and we could not reach U-Haul's customer service line after over an hour of waiting. I've had good experiences with this U-Haul location in the past, but this one ensured we will never use this location again.Daniel W.

Dayna was ABSOLUTELY the BEST! Upon check in we arrived very close to closing time, by the time we checked in Uhaul was closed and had issues with my pass code. Every time I need to speak to somebody about my storage unit they could never pull up the m25 unit no matter what we did but every month I had to make that payment and got the late fees if I didn't have it in by the 17th. Even the very next day after moving out and I went to go turn in the truck that I rented they still cannot find my information that I moved out of the unit m25. Then on the day we did rent the truck which was the 16th the young man was in the office by himself trying to handle at least 12 customers at 4:53 pm.But I feel like because everything was a rush situation he didn't understand I was looking for a one-way versus having to drop it back off in Tampa. Then after realizing he gave me the one way he said he had absolutely no one way rentals at this location even in bigger trucks but I just feel like he was just trying to rush really quickly so that he can handle the other customers in the building.yolanda jeriesh r. | Overall Experience

I only have a few problems: 1. The unit is listed as 9' high, but I don't have use of 9' due to pipes and a red line on the wall as a warning, that should be provided before renting the unit. 2. There are not enough carts in case multiple people are there loading/unloading. I went there to unload and a group had both carts, leaving nothing for anyone else. 3. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that the biggest unit 10x10 was only 6ft high. I just moved to Florida and don't know the area, I had all of my belongings with me. If I wasn't on such a time crunch or hadn't gotten rid of most of my big stuff I would have had to go to a different storage place. Because it wouldn't have fit. I was very disappointed in that. I sold me had to be cut off by a locksmith before I could move in it cost me extra $200 with the mover because of the delay and $100 for the locksmith. No one would come over to the unit and help me. One month after I moved in I got a email saying I had the inappropriate lock I was locked out of my storage unit. And I just recently got another email telling them it's urgent I need to contact them they didn't like the way I locked my unit. I reserve a unit at one location, when I arrive, they said its not available, they send me to another location that had a 10x10 unit. Which was further away, meanwhile I rented a uhaul truck prior which increased my mileage and expenses. I was on Budget and it through me off.. I made my reservation almost a month ago and when I arrived at the location, I was first informed the computers were down and I had to wait roughly one hour for them to come back up. When they finally came back up I was informed by the shift manager, there were no storage units available. I attempted to contact the store manager, but had no response. I next tried to contacted the GM from my cell a couple times to hopefully have the issue resolved, but no luck. I next attempted to call the GM from the store phone and she answered. I explained to her my situation, and she informed me she would make a call to the manager on shift, but never did. The GM was no help at all and never contacted me back to give me an update. Luckily one of the gentleman at the store noticed how frustrated I was because I was waiting for an hour for the computers to come back up and to then be informed there was no storage available. I also had a trailer to return and limited time and he luckily found me another storage unit. This was by far the worst UHAUL experience yet. There were a couple of issues with my reservation. I booked the 1st week of July. However, when I arrived for my check-in I was told the storage unit I booked wasn't available. The unit I was given in replacement was smaller then I booked. At the end of the day I was still able to fit my things miraculously. The store was able to rectify the situation at the end of the day as well. The associates at this location were super understanding and helpful but the process could of been smoother.Angeline S. | First Impressions
The reason for this rating is because i made my reservation three weeks before my arrival. When I got there the front person said they can see my reservation was made on 7-12-2021 but someone gave the stroage to someone else. So I was ask to return the next Day because the manager was all ready gone and they didn't had any storage available. To make the story short I'm not a happy camperJuan V. | First Impressions
