Picked the truck up at 4:30pm on Friday 1/21/22 in Omaha and was told I had until 1/24/22 to drop it off in Wichita. Was also told if I dropped it off early, I would get a refund for the unused days. That turned out to be completely false. I turned the truck in at 4:00pm on Saturday 1/22/22 and received no refund of any kind. The truck itself was fine and worked well for us.MITCHELL K.
The fuel was below 1/8 of a tank when I picked it up, but when I returned the truck it would not allow me to select anything other than 3/8 of a tank. Resulting in an additional fuel charge.Drake S.

The pads were not in the truck as ordered. I had to drive back to the store after it opened. The truck was literally a sheet of ice. It was also muddy and had not been cleaned. I had to clean that as well before we moved. The workers were helpful at the store but this experience was not ask high ask other u haul rental. It would have been nice for a discount versus an apology.Derek L.

I wouldn't consider the truck exceptionally clean. The floor was dirty and the inside a little dusty. The truck was about empty on washer fluid, I didn't realize till I needed it. My reservation was made well in advance- I had to go to two separate locations across town to pick up my auto transport and then drive back to get vehicle .JESSE N.

Overall I like this location. Have used it probably 4-5 times now over the past 2 years. Only problem that's more of a U Haul problem is the safety chains have hooks that are too small for my SUV, they don't fit. I went and bought some d shackles to try and help this, but most the time the employee still doesn't really get them secure. I usually reposition them once I get off site. This time the trailer I rented had mulch or potting soil or something in it. It was an enclosed trailer we were using to move furniture. So once I got home, I swept it would and wiped down the floor with towels so that the dirt didn't get on our furniture.SEAN D.

We made the original rental at Lake Manawa UHaul where the staff was very helpful. We picked up the truck at the 1006 N 18th St, Omaha location. Good staff there, too. I appreciated calling Edward at the Omaha location from the road because of snow delays - he was helpful with advice and added a day to our rental agreement.ROBERT B.

My receipt says $200, my bank statements states they took over $500. I was told it's bc I rented via phone and it's nothing staff can do and manager was out for days working from home. My bank sent an itemized statement via email to said manager and I called, nothing. It's been over a month. Aside of speaking with the G.M. of this location, everything regarding the truck and trip was a complete joke and disaster. You didn't clean the truck which smelled horribly like cigarettes and body odor. Which with covid 19 going around is very unsanitary. The wiper on the driver side was broke and ripped. That along with no washer fluid made for poor visibility in the snow on the trip. Had to listen to the metal frame screeching across the window for close to 8 hrs straight. Truck hogged gas, must have filled it atleast 6 times on a trip that should have only taken 3 fill ups. Employees at specific location don't take their job seriously and seem to find customers who returned vehicles a joke. Laughing at the way they returned them etc.MICHAEL D M.

Coordinate better between global and local. I'm am still waiting for my billing issue to be resolved. I am being charged for storage when I already emptied my container. I had a small credit balance before this charge. I guess this does not pertain to the Omaha location. Omaha treated me great!Michael J.

The customer service agent was rude, didn't have the right size truck, and they charged me $58 for gas when I drove less than 10 miles. They said there was 1/4 tank but when I pulled out of the parking lot the gas light came on. Even though they could see I had driven less than 20 miles for the meter, they still charged me!! Completely ridiculous!! I will never use Uhaul again. Horrible customer service and businesss!!!SARA K.
There was an employee (tall, skinny, African american) there that was licking his lips and ringing his hands together and couldn't keep his eyes off my butt, very disturbing and unprofessional. Also, the light cord for the trailer was corroded and not working. I had to suggest he get a new one twice before he realized I was talking.MELANIE M.
The person messed up our contract. We came back the day after picking up the truck the pick up the tow dolly, but the tow dolly had been left off the original contract despite discussing it and confirming it over the phone. So we had to start a second contract.KATHERINE G.

Clean out the back of every rental truck, 1st w/ a broom & then w/ the air hose when they are returned! Not my first time to have dirt clods in the back end and I have white furniture! Counter Rep was good enuf to blow it out but movers feet still got filthy & my new homes floors are evidence of that! Always check the back end of trucks & insist it be clean...SHARON K.
Robert the manager was one of the most professional staff I've come across. I work in a multi Million business and would hire him in a minute if I lived in the area. A overheard him deal with a woman (she was not happy) due to ancharge she didn't authorize and this was the second charge. It was from another moving company with uhauls number. Her card obviously was compromised (not by uhaul). She didn't understand. He kept telling her if she came down he would look at their records and see if there was a charge and would refund accordingly. He remained calm,sympathetic, helped educate her, but also professionally stern. I was overly impressed with his patience as I was about to take the phone from him and tell her she just needs to come to the office. Anyway, bonus award goes to Robert Danner!!!Shawnale W.

Worst experience I've ever had. Will NEVER use uhaul again. Specifically because of this location and the lack of communication from all involved. Tried to use the app to pick up and drop off truck after business hours and it was so confusing and difficult to use. Also ordered furniture dollys which I was told would be in the truck we got to our place and there were no dollys. I had to drive back to the uhaul place to get them and they only had one available when I ordered 4. Such a mess and U-Haul was not prepared.Jaden O.

not only did I haul one little load to the storage unit with that truck I clean the inside and out and then I still was charged to $25 a month cleaning fee I don't understand that I was also trying to extend my lease on it and I was told I could not so therefore I had to unload everything I had loaded up the night before to take to one of your guys's storage units that I purchased I had to unload back out of the U-Haul and drop off an empty U-Haul that I had to clean up when I didn't even get to use it for that second trip they made me bring it back then offer me another one didn't do anything I would not recommend this company or at least this location to anyone very upset I will make sure I tell all my friends about you all North down there but it won't be good. When I return the truck I was told immediately I will email you a receipt I wasn't offered the money that I had already put down cash I wasn't offered it back to me wasn't offered to get a receipt right then and there I had to wait to have it emailed in a check sent to me for the unused portion of my money. As I was unloading the one and only load I got do into my $150 storage unit per month there was several homeless people from the mission next door going in and out of the building taking carts of cans clothes etc etc sometimes three coming in sometimes one coming out sometimes two men and one girl going in and only one of them coming out as he was zipping up his trousers it is not a place I recommend I will be removing my things from there immediately you guys will have the rest of the month with an empty unit and possibly a call to six on your side or seven can help this is ridiculous to pay for a service and it to be so poor is just ridiculous especially when the building is new and upcoming in our downtown area.RICKY K.

The equipment was completely satisfactory and the locations where I picked up (Downtown Omaha for the auto transport and Council Bluffs for the truck) where very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is neither my pickup or drop-off locations were where I had originally selected. I would HIGHLY suggest that if certain locations (UHaul neighborhood locations, mainly) are unavailable or subject to such frequent change, that the website reflect it. It was inconvenient to select available locations close to my departure and destination which were both changed a day beforehand.Geoffrey S.

The only suggestion or maybe considered a negative comment was that the windshield was dirty (many dead bugs). Otherwise the vehicle was very clean & seemed to be almost new (low mileage on odometer). Seats were comfortable & was a pretty comfortable ride for a trip from NE to CA. Had it not been for Tristan, this facility would have received a lower mark. Some substitute employee, from a different facility, gave our RESERVED unit to someone else. It was the last one in the size we needed. Tristan jumped into action finding us two units that met our needs, at a discounted price, gave us a free month of rent, and a free lock for the extra unit. Tristan worked hard to solve this issue. The other regular staff are amazing and are very customer service oriented. I don't think that employee from "old style U-Haul" works at our location very often. I highly recommend the Downtown Omaha facility.LYDIA A J. | First Impressions
