The truck smelled of body odor, made for an unpleasant experience over all. Your electronic media stinks, badly. Sign up did not work, despite over an hour starting and restarting page. The app at your location for returning the truck was even worse, spent over an hour sitting in truck trying to get it to work and finally gave up. If the location had charged me the $20 penalty that was threatened (how utterly vile of you, I'm DONE with U'haul after 40 years over this) I would have complained to my credit card company about fraud.JEFFREY A E.

The guys that helped me out at the New Windsor location were awsome. Not only were they curtious, they were also very informative about what I would need to get my moving job done. Customer service was outstanding!! They were extremely courteous and helpful to me. However when I was leaving I noticed a foot long scratch on my door. No one admitted to it and then I basically just had to deal with it. Other than that and that everything was great! Accidents happen. Just wish they were more careful because I just got this car brand new off the lot ðŸ˜©jackie W.
I originally asked for an enclosed trailer 5x8 a week before my reservation. For 6 days x $19. I was contacted several times about availability explaining that they would upgrade me if needed.never talked to the same person more than once. Finally got told there was a 6x12 available for the time I needed. Went to pick it up and was charged $187 I did get the insurance for $11 but math doesn't add up. I didn't say anything just moved along because I did need the trailer. After 2 days I get a call telling me I was supposed to return the trailer when I believed I paid for the 6 days. I obviously could not return it and explained that the seemed to be ok. So I returned the trailer the 5th and upon returning it I was charged an additional $130. So $19 x6 plus $11 plus tax, turned into $307 somehow. I did not like the communication/money transactions. Make sure everything is explained clearly before handing over your card. Uhaul's website pages are not really the rates they charge.Robert R.

trailer hitch lock needed to be greased, The representative who I dealt with at the location was very unprofessional, I did my check in on line , but she asked me the same questions again, I paid for the blankets and she forgot to give them to me, then when I returned the trailer she only refunded 50% of the blankets fee and only gave me the full refund when I asked for it, besides she took for ever to handle the check out process, she had a real bad attitude.Jaime G.

There needs to be a better understanding of what damage is done prior to the renters taking the vehicle to ensure that they are aware of the prior damage by the location personnel, the self pickup is great but to confirm the photos as accurate is a bit deceitful practice, please make the customer take photos prior to taking the vehicle off the property so if there is any prior damage to the vehicle it would be in pictures taken by the customer and not the employeesThomas K.

Ava was excellent while I was reserving the truck weeks before my pickup. The male customer service rep who was there when I picked up the truck did not explain anything. He appeared ill, or hungover. He never told me that I had to take photos before I left the site. He never reviewed the truck with me. After I left the lot, I received a text with a link asking me to take photos of the truck but when I tried to do it, it said link had expired.CHRISTINE M L.
Tell me what you offer regarding EZPass for tolls. Make the online process for after hours return of the truck easier or else don't charge extra for after hours returns. I turned in my rental before the cutoff time of 2 pm at 1:55 pm. I was then told to leave unless I wanted a paper receipt. I then went to the counter for my receipt when I was told to opt for a digital receipt sent to my e-mail. Since i had movers at my house, I opted to leave then and have my receipt emailed to me. When I did receive my receipt, I was charged for an extra day since the attendant performed his inspection 30 minutes after I had arrived and so the system counted it as an extra day of rental use. This is awful customer service and should not be the standard when dealing with customers!Welvin John L.

They tried to give me a truck that had no spare tire even though I was taking a very long drive and They knew that. I talked them into giving me a truck that had a spare tire. During my trip I had a flat tire I was unable to get a hold of roadside assistance so we change the tire ourselves. When I asked U-Haul to come to my location to give me another spare in case I had another flat they refused to because they said the problem was fixed.CRAIG ANDREW Y.

My reservation was at Nanuet, NY and the trailer OR any size trailer was not available when I arrived for pick up and wasn't expected by early the next morning. I had to drive 45 mins / 30 miles north to the New Windsor, NY location. The agent did provide a $19.95 discount, but I heard the agent in Nanuet explain to the later customer that he was going to pay an add'l day PLUS a $50 penalty, so I felt that they could have given me the $50 discount? I also was annoyed that I had to return the trailer back to the site 45 mins away...so after a long weekend of moving I had to ad another 1.5 hours to my day for the round trip. The $19.95 discount didn't even cover the gas for the two round trips. I'm not sure if I will continue to rent from U-Haul for future moves because I lost confidence in the reservation system.Michael P.

Uhaul should not change the pickup location or truck size the night before a rental! They were not helpful, didn't change my reservation correctly, made me drive an extra hour and a half for the rental, and didn't refund the cost of the mileage.
