I reserved for a different location. I didn't realize the website changed my pick up location. I went to the original requested location and then had to go to the new location to pick it up. The trailer had a bend where the straps mount, making it difficult to strap my car down. Was hard to get out of the parking lot because of traffic. Hence, why I didn't want to use this location.

Get friendlier employees, I should not have to be the one to greet the sales associate. The truck that we were given was not a great representation of your company. I was almost hesitant to take the truck on the account of worrying about being charged for the damages on the outside of it.

You sent me to a location that didn't have a truck and then I had to wait from 11 AM to 1:30 pm to pick up an available truck from a different location which was more miles away so you made more money and I lost half a day of moving...very disappointed probably won't use this company again.

I had to walk around the vehicle to inspect for damage, that should be done by staff. That took an extra 15 minutes off of my 2 hour rental. I came back 15 minutes late and was charged for for the time that I had to inspect.

As I expected, I had ordered a pick up truck and it was not available when we got there . they said they called and left me a voicemail, which they did, however it was on my office phone. when I made the reservation, I specifically included my cell phone as I don't check office messages on the weekend. I was upset because it took a while to resolve the issue and I ended up being late in getting to my first destination. we decided to take the cargo van instead and we decided we were going to need rope, I asked the sales person to give us the rope, which cost $2.99 and she started to roll her eyes. when we returned the cargo van, I realized after the fact that we were charged $99 for the day +3 additional miles when we should've been charged $19.99 for the rental +103 miles at $.69 per mile which would've cost about $91.00. I then tried calling Uhaul 800 number and after being on hold for about 15 minutes and someone finally picking up, we were then disconnected. VERY frustrating!!!

The workers were so rude, even the general manager was super sassy and rolled her eyes when I couldn't access my license from my wallet easily. Never said thank you or showed any type of good customer service. Wouldn't recommend.

Very upset made a reservation in Newburgh rt 9W checked personality day before to make sure truck was available for next day Got there no truck had to drive to NewWindsor to pick up truck I needed at this location truck was clean and process was fast waisted time in Newburgh location after having a reservation what good is a reservation if you get there and truck is not available and have to go elsewhere to get what I reserved should have been given a discount at the very least for my inconvenience

The staff were professional and courteous. The location was clean and well maintained. Oddly the phone never rang (others and I were never able to reach anyone onsite?..) The truck was an old U-Haul painted over White. The truck smelled badly. We reserved a truck from Dutchess county, NY. Less than an hour after receiving our confirmation we received another saying that now we would have to pick up our truck 8 1/2 hours later at another location, 30 minute drive away. The manager was not available for any conversation and never called to review our concerns about billing = poor customer service.

I returned the uhaul rental the same day that it was rented. I got a call two days later asking when the truck would be returned. However if the employee that originally received the rental back from us was not busy making inappropriate comments to my spouse, the return of the rental would have been registered correctly and not 2 days after it was returned.

Did not have the reservation that I made in line in their file. Had to resubmit ALL the information again which was time consuming. Not to mention the hours I spend on hold for several day's trying to make this reservation Poor service and pricing on line for furniture cart was $7 and at location charging $20. You can keep it !!!

A lot of pros and cons. Mostly cons. #1 you guys owe me 300$ for Hitch you said you had in stock but didn't and charged me Been 3 days. #2 you over charged me and still pending return of the funds for a trailer rental u charged me 2 days and only used it for one. Quoted me for 100$ but was charged $180. No employees wore masks at all, the female "general manager" had poor customer service skills. Sounded like a robot. No emotion. Very monotone. One good thing is they got Truck early for me as requested so I get why tuck was dirty, windshield washer was empty, tires were all over the place, oil was due but some of those things could have been addressed before giving it to me. I think the MOST FRUSTRATING thing is you CANNOT get in contact with the location. It rings for 2 minutes then gets transfered to some corporate employee that you have to wait FIFTEEN MINUTES for. No less! And they are not at the location that knows nothing about the specific location(which is how I got charged for a hitch that was not there). I had one person that was super helpful. Other than that everyone else was below par. I didn't go out of my way to make this review but you asked me to in my email so why not. I run a corporate business And if any of my customers got this type of experience I would compensate them immensely. I've used uhaul my entire life so its not my first rodeo. This is by far the worst experience I've had. Stressed me out all day. My full rental purchace is $150 worth and I currently have about 500$ of charges pending and I'm out that money for days over lack of proper invoicing and inventory control on your end.

It takes a long waiting time to to settle for a contract. Issues with inventory On a computer and the physically at the place made it a bit frustrating but satisfactory as I was able to rent the necessary vehicle in the end. Great service from Michael but not much with other individual. He was too busy moving the line to make a phone call to see what other locations had an available one. Again good at the end but it took 30 minutes to get it complete.

The truck may need maintenance soon. It reved a little too much for my liking, especially going down hills. The sound felt like it was going to explode .

The van was NOT clean and filthy. The condition of van was so dirty there could not be any Covid precautions or any sanitizing actions taken by the U haul personnel. As soon as I got to my shop I had to clean the surfaces with bleach & water solution. I had to use a broom to remove the dirt from the cab. It took me over 2 hrs to get the cab clean. The windows were so streaked with dirt on the inside you could not see when the sun glare hit. Additionally the truck was 2500 miles over due for a oil change both the window oil sticker Reminder and van automated warning system . That really made me feel uncomfortable for lack of maintenance and cleaning- makes you think what else is missed especial during such a deadly pandemic When I returned the van I informed the young women and she was sadly in different about it and I also pointed out about the what looks to be a bag of chips dumped behind drivers seat mixed with garbage It's very disappointing U-Haul experience & I am a small business owner I could not show up to a customer with the van looking so poorly for appearance matters.

When U-Haul rents trucks that cannot go on all the roads available to passenger cars, it should make available to customers a truck-route GPS service. Self-movers are not professional drivers, and without knowledge of truck routes, we can find ourselves in difficult situations by having to guess at things. This was not a problem, but having available the truck route from my departure location to my destination would have been very helpful. Also, I would offer caution about using the Moving Help service offered by U-Haul (MovingHelp.com). When I moved to Virginia Beach, the company that unloaded my truck communicated with me very well and was there when I arrived. The workers themselves were excellent. (Sunrise Moving, I think it was.) When I left Virginia Beach this time, the loaders themselves were very good, but because I was never quite sure when they would arrive due to lack of communication, I had already loaded the truck about 70 to 80 percent. At my destination in NY, the unloaders, Elite Moving Services, not only did not show up at all, the company did not let me know that unloaders would not be there. So, I unloaded the truck solo, save for the final three pieces, for which I was able to recruit help. All of which is to say, Moving Help can be a roll of the dice. So, U-Haul did well. Moving Help, problematic, you might say. If U-Haul is going to advertise this service, it should screen any partners much more closely and offer phone numbers where customers can call and speak to a person, not to a menu, in order to get needed information.

seemed understaffed, store busy middle of the week so upon return sign says to wait in vehicle but after 10 minutes i went inside told clerks that no one came out from garage, turns out they do it but were busy, they had to then hook up a trailer before processing me out. only good things to say but annoying to wait so long just to leave
