I was given a dirty van rental. I didn't think anything of it at the time but when I return the uhaulnin the same condition I received it , I was assessed $100 fee. I spoke with someone that tried to help and did decrease the fee, but was dissatisfied with the fact the I was charged for something I didn't do. We moved a few packs of insulation which did not generate the dirt I was charged for. Additionally I don't understand how I was charged for a fee and there was only a picture of the front of the vehicle and not the back where allegedly most of the debris was. This experience made no sense and I will not be taking photos before I rent from anyone again.. likely not uhaul..William S.

I had a broken table that was my great-aunt's so probably over 50 years old, my dining table was scratched in a few places, and the backs of my dining chairs were scuffed (also old-they were handed down from a friend's grandparents). Most of my wood furniture was not covered in the furniture pads. The pads were stuffed in the containers still wrapped in the plastic. The staff at Uhaul and the movers were friendly and helpful. I just wish that more care and concern had been put into packing my items.natalie G.

There were a couple problems, though: The outgoing van odometer reading was 133.7 miles off, in UHaul's favor. The gas estimate was almost 3/4 tank off, also in UHaul's favor. The van put up the message that it needed an oil change the 2nd time I started it. The tech at UHaul did quickly rectify the problem, once I went back and brought it to his attention. The website could not figure out how to do a password change, a problem another person I know has also had.Keith L.

I have been renting trucks from the Beechwood Ave location in New Rochelle several times a year for the past few years and have had problems more than a few times but nothing like I had recently. I reserved a truck for a 7 a m pickup for 6-26-22 and another for a 7 p m pickup for Tues 6-28-22. I checked my Gmail the next morning and it only had my Tues listed but for 7 a m. I called several times and got a recording stating I would be on hold for 30 min. I went to Beechwood ave and spoke to Bruce who made the adjustments that Ventura messed up. When I went to pick up my truck at 7 a m on sun it wasn't allowing me access to the lockbox. I followed the instructions and it kept changing my password but would not allow access. I called u haul and was on hold for an hour. When I finally got through l was told I would be transferred to someone who could help. After being on hold for another hour the store opened. Jarrod helped me and it seems my key was in the store. I lost 2 hours in which I paid 4 guys because of this. I asked if my 20 foot truck would be there for Tues and was told it would. I called on mon.seversal times and again was told I would be on hold for 20 minutes so I went there and Jarrod told me my truck would be there. I called Tues early afternoon to double check and Jarrod told me my truck would not be back and I could have a 15 ft instead. I told him that is not big enough. Jarrod said he would try to find another truck. I called back later and spoke to Ventura who said there is nothing they could do and I could rent the 15 ft truck. I was in a bad spot so I took the 15 ft truck and had to pay my helpers extra to get the job done. This is not the professionalism I would expect from a company as big as u haul and the service I received from Ventura and Jarrod is not what I would want representing my company. Really not a good experience at all. Within 5 minutes of me showing up at the pick up location, the only UHaul employee there got in a literal fist fight with one of the customers. It was so bad multiple police officers came and got involved. My day was significantly delayed and negatively impacted because of this. I've never seen anything so unprofessional. Also, the UHaul app that I was supposed to use to self check out after I dropped the UHaul off wasn't working. Another UHaul employee told me not to worry about it.John M.

The staff at this location is excellent - Dominic was incredibly helpful. Two major complaints: the 15' truck I rented was nasty. Smelled horrible, the cab was covered in dirt and grime. Secondly, the truck was given to us with an incredibly low fuel tank, I was worried it would run out before making it to the nearest gas station. Otherwise, the experience with the U-Boxes was excellent, they were prepared and ready for us, and the staff were very quick to help us out and answer questions.William R.

I had numerous issues with my check in. The 1st was with the promotion. I got an email giving me the first month free. The contract # I had to valid ate the promotion wasnt working. I then called the 1800 number to resolve the issue. I was rest assured that there was no issue and the free month would be applied upon checking into my unit. I complete d my check in online and made my reservation. When I arrived at the facility to check in in was told the promotion ended. At took 2 representatives to finally fix the issue. After resolving that issue, I tried to go to my unit. I wasnt able to access it because the pin code in was given for the gate was incorrect. I then had to return to the deal to get my gate code reset. My check in process took over an hour. And I am a customer who registered fully online and paid in advance.Kareem M. | Online Move In

This facility is the most modern ,clean,secure,and has the easiest access to my unit. From just pulling up to the roll up doors and not having to get out of your car the roll up door opens automatically then once inside the bay after swiping in the dollys are there to load my property once in a huge elevator and dropped off at my floor I have access to my unit through a huge roll up door. All the while protected by cameras and a convenient two way intercom where you are in touch with the front desk in seconds. They also gave restrooms on every floor which is great. It is the best storage facility I ever rented from and I rented quite a few. But now all my storage needs will be done at this facility solely. Brought one way truck rental back at 4:55 pm on Sunday, 3/8/2020 and as if 9:30 am on Monday, 3/9/2020 the truck has not been checked in and no receipt has been emailed.
