First, when I rented I was supposed to pick up at another, more convenient location. The new pick up location was understaffed and I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. Then, although UHaul knew the vehicle I would be using, you didn't flag that I'd need an adapter for the trailer lights. The guy hooking up the trailer didn't say anything until he was in the middle of doing so and asked "where my adapter" was. Then, fortunately they had one in stock, but inexplicably, due to a computer problem, it took almost 15 minutes for them to do the transaction to sell me one and complete my hook up. In all, picking up the trailer took about an hour. Way too long.Jason M.
The first trailer they gave me was a piece of junk and it should have been removed from service. Bent and dented pieces, and a defective surge brake. I came back to swap out the trailer for a different one, at least that one worked well, however somehow they didn't make the change on my paperwork and I never received an updated copy.Darrell D.
To ensure all your vehicles are in excellent shape, you received an average rating, because your vehicle was in an average condition. The ride was was rough and wobbly, not sure if that's an alignment issue also the passenger side mirror was unable to be adjusted giving the driver difficulty in seeing on that side of the truck while driving. It seems that your company focuses on cleanliness, which is important, but functionality is also important. I was referred to that location, unfortunately I won't be returning for service, due to vehicle issues.Revlyn H.

Do away with the 1/2 full gas tank at rentalâ€¦the gas tank should be full at time of rental. The paper graph showing how many gallons it should take to bring tank back to 1/2 full before returning is a giant consumer rip-off that should be addressed with a class-action suit! I was at 1/4 of a tank at return, put 12.5 gallons in as shown on the graph, and it took gauge all the way to 3/4 full. At todays gas prices that is a large expense to consumers, but a tremendous windfall to U-haul when multiplied by the nationwide rental each and every day!!Lewis F.

The van had something wrong with the windshield. The noice from the wind coming through was very frustrating. No manager on duty. Poor kid at front counter was having to be instructed over the phone on how to reserve a storage unit. He was never able to figure out how to set my card up on an automatic withdraw. I paid $197 at the time of pick up for the van. I went $7 worth of mileage over what I said I would drive. That's fine, I can pay the extra $7. The guy told me I owed another $207 and that once the $197 cleared my bank that U-Haul would reimburse me. I refused to do that, because I was not informed that to begin with. Train your customer service reps better. After being informed that my contracted location at Denton highway didn't have the 24 foot mover I needed and that I would have to drive 20 more miles round trip to and from S Ft Worth to get one, I spent 40 minutes dealing with two different reps trying to resolve the issue. All I asked is that I be charged the same as the closer location with no additional mileage charge $1/mile. They said a price adjustment couldn't be done and that they only guarantee reservation of equipment and not location. If true, neither seems like good customer service practices. Both of them seemed totally unwilling to help, were unfamiliar with my local area, and didn't care that my fuel costs would already be tripled. The second rep finally got sick of me and rudely transferred me to a supervisor familiar with my location who found a 24' truck even closer than my original pickup. She did a great job handling the transfer. Next time I will just ask for a supervisor, I guess.Robert S.

The motorcycle trailer I rented had a ridiculously short ramp. Think about that. A motorcycle trailer that couldn't handle a motorcycle loading on level ground. Loading and unloading two different bikes required use of the curb; else the bike would bottom out from the ramp. The trailer was nice, but I will think twice in the future before using uhaul because of motorcycle trailers that make it difficult to load/unload a motorcycle.Joel L.

I did not reserve my truck at this location. 15 minutes before I was supposed to pick up my truck I got a text saying my pick up location had changed to this location. This put my entire move behind by almost 2 hours requiring us to begin moving in the hottest part of the day. When a customer is paying per mile it is an unscrupulous business practice to move the pick up location further away requiring more miles to be driven pushing up the cost for the customer. Beyond that I requests two dollies since we were moving from the third floor and the location had none available which made my move considerably more difficult. The representative told me as long as the truck was back by 7am I would only pay for 1 day but I was charged for 2 even though the truck was returned by 11pm. All in all I will most likely never use uhaul again. I want a truck rental company to help make my move easier rather than adding to the stress of my move. I also want a rental company that charges what they say they will charge instead of double charging me. I feel jerked around and used by uhaul.Justin D.

At Age 50+, I have used this, as well as, numerous other Uhaul locations spanning multiple States. This location at Grapevine Hwy (Hwy 26) in N.R.H., TX 76180 has always been my personal go to location for most all of my Rental needs. The Staff is knowledgeable and professional. They make a sincere effort to expedite as promptly as is realistically possible in what can be at times a chaotic environment and even apologize for delays. I know that this review comes across as a padded Review, It isn't and I rarely waste my time on these Type of Review Requests. I haven't completed a Uhaul Review in some time. Occasionally, We need to take a brief moment of our lives to acknowledge the People who ARE doing a Good Job in order to compensate for ALL the frustrated or negative People whom they encounter in the course of their normal Work . Sometimes that one "Thanks, I see the good Job you're doing and I appreciate your efforts ." keeps the beneficial Employee/ Manager so that they are there for You the next time that you need their assistance . Doesn't just apply to this Uhaul... So, this is the part that I try to help and make both My and other Customers Lives better... I fully understand the dynamics involved in the Operations of a Rental/ Storage Operation and why there is a realistic need to add rolling phone coverage for Inbound Calls. However, there are times that Uhaul Corporate Call Center isn't equipped with the Site Specific Knowledge to answer specific customer questions 樂. Perhaps adding a specified Text Capability on a Corporate to Store and Back, would help overcome this aggravating gap in the Customer Interaction Abilities of Customer Phone Calls and the information they are seeking, which is answerable only at a Store Level. We moved my son's apartment into a unit over four years ago. When we recently came to get his stuff, we found a U-Haul lock in a slot next to the lock we put on. When we asked the staff, they said that they did not have the key and that the U-Haul lock was required. He said he had been working there two years and they always require that lock. When I told him that we were not required to get that type of lock when we moved in, he said it was required back then also. Obviously he was lying as he was not there four years ago and I was. I called Diane, the manager to see if they had a remedy but alas more terrible service as she never called me back. Probably too embarrassed by there blatant incompetence. We had to call a locksmith to have the U-Haul lock removed for $173. I would never use this location and warn everyone to stay away.Donald M. | Overall Experience

I've used uhaul many times and this experience has by far been the worst. Pick up location was amazing . The staff was helpful, polite, courteous and friendly. They were above amazing with customer service. The drop of location was the worst experience I have ever had with a business ever. The location itself was clean and tidy. Jarom/ jason not sure exactly his name. ( Light blonde/Reddish fuzzy hair in a bun on his head, wore orange bandana) and the the other man who Claimed to be the assist manager by far worst customer service from those two. You never tell or talk down to your customers. The assistant manager wouldn't reprimand his employee from be obstinate after I asked him several times to stop speaking to me. I even called Diane Talley.....useless ....she just wanted me to use online. I had to continue to tell her employees to stop telling at me so I could even speak to her. The way to this store is run is absolutely ridiculous. I will be calling and filing s formal complaint. They had one employee that went above and beyond to try and fix the situation. Angel May. He apologized even said he was sorry that I shouldn't have been treated like that. You definitely need to go through clean house and hire more people like Angel May. Local U-Haul folks couldn't have been better. The company needs assistance with its computer system. I tried twice to get auto payment established. Both times failed (one cost me as overdue charge) and the other cost me a trip to your facility to establish when the system didn't function.Jerry s. | Overall Experience
