I am a regular customer at this location. I made a reservation and 30 minutes before I was to pick up I got a call from Jeffrey that my reserved vehicle was not available. I quoted the reservation guarantee and he stated that because they were offering an alternative vehicle that they did not have to honor it. I have a call in to corporate and after confirming that I do get the $50 credit, I am now awaiting a call from the Field Service Manager.kristina S.

Check in was excellent. Several hours after we picked up our trailer we were called saying our drop off location was changed to 40 miles from where we were supposed to drop off. Not convenient at all. When I called, they did nothing to help with the expense and time it took to deliver the trailer 90 miles round trip from the destination I signed up for. The location we rented from was fantastic! They were great! However.... I will Never rent nor refer anyone to the Davis highway locatio in Pensacola, Florida. Horrible experience.. they double booked. I was there first! The other booking was a friend of the manager. The salesman started out by lying. He told me that the trailer had no brakes then it had a flat tire. Bottom line it was double booked and they saved it for the managers buddy. FACT.... everyone there including the manager was African American and I felt that because I was white they had no time for me at all and treated me VERY poorly!William N.

My reservation was at 7am had to wait until 720 until someone showed up to open up the store. Was told they didn't know exactly the van was but maybe in the front of the lot. The van had dirt in the back. When returning it the sign stated stay in the vehicle, waited several minutes and then had to walk in the store to return the key.Melissa A.

Great storage unit! The pricing is fair and I really appreciate the security. The check in/out system is a little strange if not parking in the drive up and having to use the card to enter the door. Also, I wish there were more trash recepticals. I understand not wanting people to dump their stuff, like mattresses and furniture, but it would be nice to have access to a dumpster. Needing a passport upload and a phone a friend to rent a truck is ludicrous. You don't need that to rent a car with any rental agency. You don't need that to BUY a car. You don't need that to BUY A HOUSE. If you absolutely need those things it needs to be all caps, bold, at the top and you need to be able to do them ahead of time. I'm not letting you call any of my friends at 5:30AM. If you're going to continue to require those things, shut down the 24/7 program and make people come into the office.Sarah M.

The truck we rented ran very rough- particularly engine power and sluggishness. We traveled 11 miles yet had to put 3 gallons of fuel- and pay mileage. That is extremely excessive especially when the truck ran so poorly resulting in excess fuel usage and additional cost to us.James A.

When I picked up the trailer, the representative was attempting to resolve an issue with a customer on the phone for an extended time. Thankfully another representative was finally available to assist me after 20 minutes. On the flip side, returning the trailer took less than 5 minutes.Damon X.

First, the vehicle I reserves wasn't available. Then when I had to settle for the next size up which may not have gotten down the street I needed to travel, your company refused to process both my credit cards as well as my bank card. This forced me to walk down the block to a gas station to use a questionable ATM to withdrawal cash to pay with. The whole time the employee was rather indifferent to the whole situation. Clean the trucks and make sure the trucks work well, we have many issues with the truck to our way to Texas, we call road services because with have many issues with the truck and when they answer they hang up on us the 3 times we call. The truck was so hard to drive. We waste more money on gas. The truck was very bad, not a good truck they give us from the store. Never again we come to get services here.Nancy J.

Regarding the rental, my understanding was the rental price was for a 24 hour period. I initially elected to reserve the trailer for an 8 hour period, 8:00-4:00. At pick up I was told I could extend the 8 hour period if needed at no additional cost. When I called at 3:00 to extend the return time to 6:00, I was told it would cost an additional $20. The associate then agreed to extend the return time at no additional cost. When I returned the trailer at 5:45, the associate informed me I would be charged an additional $20. I explained the conversation I had earlier at 3:00 that there would be no extra charge. This associate also agreed to no additional charge. This extra charge situation needs to be explained fully at initial check out. A 24 hour rental fee should apply to the full 24 hour period, regardless of when I return it prior to the 24th hour. If I give you an estimated rental time of 8 hours and then call to extend it ( assuming availability) with the understanding there will be no extra charge, that is what I expect. The rules should not change after initial check out.KEVIN B.

Didn't deliver the ball mount that was ordered. Also the electrical wires were just left in the trunk of the van even though the official U-Haul YouTube shows to route outside the vehicle. Installer even said he didn't know how to do it. Then when asked what ball mount to get for my van, was given the wrong info with a drop instead of a rise. This resulted in the trailer bottoming out on every little bump until I was able to return to U-Haul to have the ball mount corrected.Mark W.

The associate advised me to put my front wheel car in neutral vs brake when we hooked it to the tow. This caused the straps to fall off twice and had to get assistance as we though the tow broke. I also sent back for my order for a sofa cover and instead was given furniture pads and charged more. It wasn't until I returned the truck that I realized the unexpected charges.Rosanna A.
The price of a car dolly rental is far too much. Basically 60.00. I had it returned in less than 4 hours. I didn't travel more than 20 miles with it. The tire straps were in poor condition. It got the job done done but I think there should be some exceptions if you are using it in town and return it sooner than what the rental time was for.stacey K.

I have never had so much trouble picking up a reservation in my life. Not only was I sent around town to two different locations because the original place didn't do â€œone wayâ€ trucks, but the second location where I got the truck had no idea about my reservation, or my equipment needs, all of it which I payed for in advance. I had to swap out the truck twice due to the cab being unacceptable (the literal Cab liner was falling in), and my order took over an hour to rearrange since no one could figure out how to reimburse the difference to my card from my paid in full reservation. Really disorganized, really unhappy, and I was told â€œyea, unfortunately this happens all the timeâ€. Then fix the system! Obviously it's flawed!Victoria R.
Ordered hitch install and all tow items. Didn't receive or be charged for the hitch and ball. Then was told a drop for my minivan was correct when I should have gotten a drop. Trailer was hooked up incorrectly. On first bump, the trailer bounced off the hitch and one of the safety chains fell off. Thankfully I noticed. The trailer ended up lodged under the hitch so I was able to"guide it" to the side of the road and avoid any damage.Mark W.

CONS: I don't like that I can't get into my indoor storage unit until the office opens. I don't like that there are only two indoor garage parking spaces and only a few carts on wheels. If the garage is full of cars, you have to wait until people leave and who knows how long they'll stay. There are dozens of units behind the sliding doors once into the garage. It's convenient if you get to use it but not if you're sitting in your car waiting to get in and have to leave. I really do love the garages but it's just not convenient. The business model is horrible. Once you are in the garages, if someone else is using the carts, you've gotta wait for those too. PROS: I like that there was a dumpster to dump things in that I didn't want to keep. I like that maintenance crew was immediately there checking on things when someone did come into the garages. It felt safe. I like that the bathrooms were always kept clean no matter when I came. I loved the price for the 5x5 that I had. CONCLUSION: I'm glad that this was my last experience with storage units. I'm pretty much done with them. With recession/inflation now, what I paid for a unit, pays a bill, so I can use the freed up money. Thanks for the time I had there. It really was almost perfect.Barbara R. | Overall Experience

Storage facility was great. The 20ft box truck we rented from Orlando vibrated at 50 MPH and turned a 7 hour trip to a 9 hour trip. Very nerve racking. The truck TT 5375K needs to be put in for service immediately. I wanted to store my loaded 26 foot moving truck overnight in the parking lot awaiting my vehicle that was going to be loaded onto a car carrier. The car was going to be available the next morning, however the manager stated that it is against company policy to allow a loaded truck to be left, even for just one night. She indicated the policy was for "insurance purposes". What is the risk or exposure to UHaul? A simple hold harmless agreement could be signed relieving UHaul from all liability.
