I had dust all over my stuff from the construction going on insidepaul k. | Overall Experience
Due to the short and steep ramp, I was injured. There were not any dollys available to rent so they sold us a dolly that didn't have a hand grab bar. While loading the uhaul the weight of the load jerked me down. I slid down the ramp and onto the asphalt with my hand stuck under the dolly handle. I had three stitches on one finger and there wasn't enough on two other fingers to stitch. Two weeks later I am still healing from this injury. Needless to say we were not able to use the uhaul that day but we were still charged for the full rental. The length of the uhaul ramp needs to be looked at...it is not safe. I have multiple doctor bills and had to hire someone to move my stuff on another day which lead to another months rental of the storage unit.BENJAMIN ANDREW T.

My daughter was picking up some furniture at a storage unit for us because we live out of state. I reserved the truck. My daughters boyfriend paid $80 when he picked up the truck AND then he owed another $100 when it was returned. I was able I use my credit card for that amount. I think I was over charged. They had the truck for less than 6 hours and drove less than 30 miles.JACKSON B.
The customer service was great, but I had to rent a 5x8 because uhaul won't let 6x12 go one way so that messed up my plans a little so just keep that in mind when renting.Travis C.

Initially I had some serious issues and concerns and upon contacting U-Haul customer service main office and speaking to a representative named Shanta I was met with a credibly rude and poor customer service I requested to speak to her manager and she informed me that her manager would be calling me on my number and I never received a call she basically told me that there was nothing she could do or I can do to fix my situation even though I knew that not to be true and I couldn't at that moment get any type of satisfaction for my necessity and need however upon getting to the U-Haul self-storage place the next day and speaking to the representative that was employed there not only was able to fix the one problem but was well informed phenomenal at customer service and very very kind he made this entire experience which started out incredibly unpleasant so so much better he is a valuableJOSHUA O.

Good morning! I had a bit of a fuel dispute which could have been easily avoided had the fuel level been even with 1/2 tank at the start of my rental. In past experiences, this has always been the case. It was difficult to check-out/check-in due to the layout of the website changing from previous visits I have had with U-haul, and I think it caused some confusion both on my end and on the end of the employee I dealt with over the phone. She stated that the fuel level was even lower than what I placed it at at the start of the next rental, which is bizarre, considering the same thing happened to me, but it was difficult to move the fuel indicator to the correct spot, as it was very sensitive and would go too far up/down. This made the process of indicating appropriate fuel levels at pickup difficult as well. Although I included all necessary photos and followed the prompt provided by the website to the letter, she also stated that I had botched the levels, which I know was not what happened, as I have done these procedures in the past with no issues or incomplete documentation. I don't appreciate the way the staff was dismissive about my case and overall not helpful, which caused some tension over the phone that could have also been avoided. I appreciate the attempt to care for your customers, but this experience alone was so poor from lackadaisical staff from the moment I walked in the door to the drop off and subsequent call that I lost all trust I had in this company prior to renting a truck. I hate that the way I was treated is not unique to vehicle rental service companies, but I'm truly shocked that nobody was willing to work with us over a $12 dispute, and even insinuated I was a liar. I doubt anyone at this location cares about how they treat their customers, but I hope you learn to practice more understanding on interactions of all types in the future.Mary-Cathryn C.

The alarm to the outdoor door near one of the loading docks kept going off at random, despite me checking in and out correctly. When I swiped once to get in, accessed my unit, then left, when I swiped to check out, it said it was checking me in again! So I swiped again to check out... It was during this time the alarm was going off. Also, it went off again after the keypad said I was checked out. I informed the evening staff at the front desk, who claimed they couldn't hear anything and didn't know what to do since they'd never heard of that particular alarm going off. I pointed out on their security camera the outdoor door to the building in question. Again, this was for the outdoor door near a loading dock. Truck floor was not swept, had debris to include small furniture nails. The site also did not the provided the reserved appliance dolly. It was an in town move planned in advance that required the dolly for 4 pieces. Another uhaul place rented a dolly that did not work. Had to call a friend's friend. In total, over 2 hours wasted and 32 miles added to get a dolly. Manager at the rental location refuses to call back. All I wanted was to take 30 miles off the invoice. Was told equipment is never guaranteed. Never again will we or our company use uhaul. Service is shitRAFAEL O.
