While I understand paying in a timely manner is required but to subsequently charge my checking account causing it to overdraw with a $29.00 fee as well as U-Haul late fees was ridiculous. We moved out at the end of January and told the office yet, I get a phone call today asking if we're gone. Could be MUCH better.

SCOTT MPerfect for a multi-trip, local apartment move. Was able to make my hour long move in 2 round trips without hassle or fuss. The van was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. All around the reservation was 5 stars. Will use this location again if needed and will recommend to others in the area.

KEVIN FU-Haul cancelled my box after I loaded it on premises, then offered to not charge for the box, saving me $69. After I contacted U-Haul they found my container, did not expedite my transport. My box was over 3 weeks late. I had to go buy clothing and medication due to the delay. I left message last week for a phone call about getting reimbursed for more than $69. I got a call last Thursday by someone saying the Macungie manager is out and would call me Monday. I'm still waiting for a call!!! I'd like someone above the Macungie manager to call me, my cell is (210) 430-4358 pacific time zone.

MICHAEL D | Overall ExperienceThe uboxes were delivered early and the pick up was three or so hours early. We were not finished loading them at that time because we were told 12-12:15. Then we had to wait until around 4:30 for them to be picked up. Extremely frustrating as we had planned to leave for our new city at 2pm.

Also please do not give the first customer the third truck in line and make them wait for someone to be available to move the other truck(s).
LORI FMy experience was ruined at the end when I almost fell through the floor due to a steel plate breaking through the floor on the one corner. On top of that I couldn't check out on Sunday night because the app. Wouldn't scan. I tried for like ten minutes and finally gave up in disgust.

DAVID NThe only complaint I have is that on the day the boxes were to be delivered between 2:45 and 4:45 the driver called me and said she could not deliver because we did not pay. We had a credit card on file apparently there was an issue at the call center, and they said the card did not go through. The driver also saw the card number on file and ran it through herself. The call center was supposed to call me that morning, but they did not. I feel that they should have called me immediately not let us wait until 3PM for the driver to call about an issue. I do want to say the driver Carmen in PA and Liz in Largo were excellent. I would definitely use U-Haul again if needed because of them.
Cara SUHaul Trailer Hitch CMF13409. 0n 2023' Subaru forester sport Installed at 7785 Spring Creek Rd Macungie, Pa. 18062. On 9/28/2024 3:25 pm Sunday Oct 26th i notice something wrong when getting ready to wash the car. There was a large hole now where there wasn't before, in the drivers side rear wheel well. So I crawled under the vehicle and noticed there are parts missing that help with protecting the vehicle from debris and corrosion, left side is missing a very large inner fender well cover, that they actually show on a uhaul YouTube video putting it back on without any adjustment to the part. Then on the right side I am missing the muffler heat shield, this is to help to keep the cabin cooler in the summer time and the air conditioner doesn't have to work as hard. When the technician installed this hitch he never said anything about not being able to put these parts back on. When I called about it on Oct. 6th I had talked to the technician that installed it and he said we just throw those parts out because most people don't want them back, which I wasn't given that option, and he also said that it wasn't in the directions to put these parts back on. I can't believe he has been installing hitches for 10 years. He said he was going to tell the manager (Chelsea) about it and she would give me a call. This is unacceptable! I didn't get a call from the manager. So I called the next day, Monday Oct. 7th 10:00am to talk to the manager, Chelsea, she told me the same thing that the installer said. Then she said she has to talk to the installer. She called back the next day Tues. The 8th. And told me he only removed one part and threw it away, he claims there wasn't a heat shield on the car. (1) the car is brand new, (2) this is the 3rd thing being installed on the car since we owned it. (3)we installed the roof rack and mud flaps. These 2 things have nothing to do with the underneath of the vehicle(4) I was thinking about doing the job myself so I watched the video U Haul has on YouTube and thought about it so I looked under the car and saw everything being explained in the video. I saw the panel on the drivers side and the heat shield on the passenger side above the muffler. I don't have a garage, The weather was miserable and decided to take to Uhaul and pay the extra cost to install it. (5) I had talked to the mechanics at the subaru dealership when i was picking up my $93.20 worth of parts and they said all subarus come with heat shields. So she stands by her installer saying there wasn't a heatshield on the car. So I crawed under the car again and took pictures the screw holes that held the shield in place don't have paint in the threads. And now the way the car stands now is acceptable to mud, snow, SALT, RUST, and my AUTO WARRANTY!. They did say about paying me the 34.00 for the one cover and installing it free of charge, but they also said about cutting it to make it fit, they don't cut it in the video. I dont want a brand new piece cut up to be installed. But they won't pay for the heatshield or install it. Because in order to install the heat shield they have to remove the Hitch to reinstall the shield and the cost of the shield was 60.00. So now I don't have any TRUST in them to do this job I want to take it somewhere else and someone else fix this issue and have them reimburse me for all parts and labor. The manager Chelsea was very rude and at first wouldn't give me her name. Not very professional. I asked her if she watched the video that U-Haul has on YouTube? She said no she is not an installer. It wasn't till I talked to her the second time that she actually told me her name, after asking her twice. She believes that being they throw all the parts away and not tell the customer about it then that makes her right. There was nothing in writing that those parts would not be reinstalled. This also happens at other U-Hauls. I asked another installer and at another location and they said they have had the same issue, but 100% fixed the problem.but this woman was so rude to where she doesn't care about the customer to where i couldn't trust them to touch my car again. Chelsea called me on 10/24/24 to tell me she would reimburse me for all the parts and being I had already had the parts installed, she would reimbursed me for the labor, the only thing I've lost over all this was 2 weeks of my time. One more thing, she told me they have changed the policy on the parts that come off to get the Hitch installed, they will now go back on and if they can't be reinstalled they get put in a bag and placed in the rear of the customers car.

CRAIG KThe trailer I was supposed to pick up had broken glass all over the inside, also lights did not work. Since the lights did not work I spent 45 minutes there while they were trying to be repaired. I then was told I could have a refund. I needed a trailer and at that time of day I could no longer get one anywhere else. I needed the trailer for first thing the next morning. I also reserved this trailer hours before pick up time so there was plenty of time to confirm the trailer was ok to pickup. I needed a trailer with a ramp, needless to say I had to leave with a trailer without a ramp. Having the rampless trailer made it very difficult almost impossible to do what I needed the trailer for. I've rented numerous times from uhaul and this was the absolute worst experience I've ever had. The manager was no help at all and just wanted to argue with me about why this was ok. I will never return to this location unless it is an absolute last resort.

ROBERT WI called looking for a trailer bc we had an accident with ours 500 miles from home. We went on line and it said there was a trailer available that would meet our needs at that location but when we get there the guy told us they didn't have one. I went to my car and called uhaul and had to wait for someone to call me back. When someone finally called they said they did have a trailer according to their computer so we did an online reservation as she advised and went back inside. Low and behold they did have a trailer and the guy I had spoken to (who was not the one who helped us actually get the trailer) said "Oh I thought you wanted an enclosed trailer". I clearly had told him I would take either one since I was just trying to get home. When I finally got home and was looking over the trailer the tires were bald.
FREDERICK SDropping off the uhaul was much better than the below poor quality location I picked up the vehicle at. Staff at this location was friendly and courteous, very helpful. They started cleaning the vehicle immediately for the next person who was renting it. Hopefully the next customer has a better experience with pickup than I did at the location I recieved the vehicle from.

DAVID BI have not received an emailed receipt from this location. I rent a lot of trucks. This seems to be becoming the new normal for Uhaul, me having to call asking for a receipt. As for another issue, not pertaining to thos location. Your after hours pickup needs some major improvements. I can only recall 3 times out of probably 10 that I was able to get a truck after hours with no issues.

I was asked why I needed truck for longer than 24 hours and was the told that I could not rent it for 2 days. This took 3 phone calls with the rental place to resolve and what is the problem with renting a truck for 2 days??

DENNIS BIt wasn't this locations fault but one hour prior to pick up my location was switched from 15 minutes from me to 60 minutes away. When I got to the Macungie location they hooked up the trailer only to spend 15 minutes trying to get the lights to work (one would think this could be tested prior to making it available) and having to send me 30 additional minutes to another location where it took them another 20 minutes to get the equipment successfully hooked up. I will never use UHaul again.

The manager at this location (Chelsea) is one of the rudest employees I have encountered in a long time. After refusing to assist me, with the problem truck, she told me just to call the 800#. Then she disappeared for 20+ minutes (there were no other employees in the store). I called the store and it rolled to a nearby store where a very helpful woman tracked her down. She was angry that I had been assigned one of her trucks and continued being rude. Then she gave me a truck with faulty A/C. I drove most of the 1,100+ miles with the windows open, sweating all the way. A very unpleasant trip from beginning to end.

ANN MI made a reservation for a certain sized trailer, however the trailer size was changed the day before pickup. I didn't reserve at another location because it was to be available at this location. What is the point of a reservation if it is not honored.

AHMED AI rented an auto transport trailer. The trailer had three defective tires. One flat tire, one bald tire, and one tire had belts showing. The U-Haul dealer apparently failed to perform a proper inspection prior to providing the equipment to me.
JOHN K20' truck would not start, had to jump start several times, added undo stress to move. I appreciate manager reversing charges on that rental. Not his fault, just bad luck and bad timing. Overall satisfied, would use UHaul again and recommend to friends. Thank you, Robert Drexinger

DAVID NApp didn't work for the truck sharing and the truck was not ready with the dolly. I asked the guy behind the desk why the dolly wasn't ready with the truck if the early check in would have worked and all he could do was grunt and shrug his shoulders!!!! I was asked about 50 times if I would like to be "up-saled" for additional items…

Hours are convenient for now, but surprised it is not 24 hour like other local UHaul Storage facilities. It is convenient that it has a drive in garage to unload if inclement weather. It does need more than 1 flatbed cart .There are several to move mattresses and plywood, but only one to move boxes, at least on the first floor.
