I vacated my storage unit on 12/31/21 and stopped in to the office to let them know I had vacated. On January 22, 2022, the manager called me to see if I was still using my unit. Other than my hitch being ordered and sent far out of my way and being installed improperly. I had a great experience and a smooth relocation move. Would be nice and considerate of uhaul to reimburse me some of the cost i had to pay for the hitch and installation. Constant billing issues: would get bill, non-payment email, followed by payment email - every month for two years. Spoke with managers and general managers - to no avail. Mean, ugly people have worked at this location, extremely nasty people to deal with. Went to empty my unit, a non-payment lock was on my unit. - I'm on auto-payment? When manager went to my unit, told me this was due to non-payment, then changed his mind and told me it was because there was no lock on unit, which is impossible because U-Haul requires every unit to purchase a lock? I closed out my unit on the 5th and was told I would not be billed. Of course, I was, and the girl in the office on the 10th - told me not to worry about it as it was just an email blast. when I brought up, I had a pending charge, she transferred me to a manager to resolve. Get this, asked me for a card since my account they have been processing for two years has an issue? I hope I get my refund. Let's just say I have never been more frustrated and relieved to leave your business than now! Just keep on doing it all right. I made two trips to drop off the tow dolly and return the truck in less time, including travel, than it took too pick it up on the front end. Tom and the crew there were the kind of people all business hope to have. They get customer service and how to WOW a customer. We were told that we were given an extra day due to the flat tire. They said we did we got no such thing, but they did honor it. However, they argued with us about the reservation number for a storage unit that we made at the same time that we reserved the truck. They argued with us about having the reservation. I had a 10 x 15 unit reserved for the past 2 months. I drove 9 hours from Maryland with a Uhaul truck. When I arrive at your facility I was told that there were not units available. I explained that I had a reservation and showed her the reservation number. I was told that reservations are not a guarantee. She did not have that size unit available and did not know why I was told that they did. She was not able to help me look at any other locations near by. She did offer me a larger unit for $100 more a month than what I was paying. I asked her if I could get the same rate as the smaller unit I was promised and she said No we don't do that. Both locations were very easy and friendly to work with from pickup to drop off destination. 800 customer service agents were clueless and frustrating. Speaking with the 800 agents caused great concern that my box would not arrive on time or to a wrong destination. In the end, everything arrived EARLY and without any issue.Tim M.

In the Uhaul tool that I used to book my one way vehicle rental it offered me the opportunity to book a storage. In the tool it said first month was FREE. However when I went to store my stuff the clerk told me that to get the FREE month I would have had to rent the truck from them. Not sure how I could have done a one way rental and pick up their vehicle in Massachusetts. In fact it would be impossible. My first visit (sept. 22, 2021) to request a stg unit was not pleasant one and the female who assisted me, the manager?, Just flatly said there was no space available when I came in to rent a unit. She really did not get any of my info or my questions/needs for storage and did not even make an attempt to see if something was coming up soon. Please be advised that I struggled to get into your office with my rollator walker because I am handicapped and cannot walk without it. I left disappointed and in about a month I called into this same office and was greeted by a male employee, who was so very helpful and advised that the small unit I was requesting was available, but on a first come basis. I got in my car and was at the office within the hour. The female whom I had previously dealt with was sitting at the desk, while the gentleman was standing behind her. She recognized me (due to my handicap and equipment I needed to get into the office) and promptly got up and walked into the back room without saying a word to me. I was assisted by the same gentleman I had talked to on the phone and he was so very pleasant and helpful in getting me a unit right away.
