Please fix your billing system. I've rented twice in the past month (once on Broadway and nice at this place). The Broadway rental had multiple challenges and ended up billing me almost $6,000 for a 3.5 hour rental. The Fullerton location over billed me about $75 for gas and refueling charges even though I brought back the truck with more gas than when I rented it. The Fullerton location addressed this quickly. The Broadway location never returned my calls. I had to contest the charges with my credit card company. They were reversed, but I was told that the Broadway manager would call me to apologize and fix the billing issue. I have not heard back.

I got a call 15 minutes before my pickup saying that they transferred my reservation to this location (a 35 minute commute from my original location). When I got there, the uhaul they assigned me wasn't ready and the rep was very unhelpful in trying to get the situation figured out. The uhaul they finally gave me had a bunch of dollies in it that I did not order, so I had to remove them all myself before I could use it for my furniture. Also, the website allowed me to make a pickup appointment for at the original location for 6pm when apparently that location closes at 4pm (that is why they changed my reservation last minute). The online form should not allow people to create reservations for unavailable times.

Good experience at this location, however I was told that if I returned the vehicle with a quarter tank of gas I would get a $25 credit. (I picked it up on empty!) I returned it with a half a tank of gas, yet received no credit. -Disappointing for sure.

Gerald and Carlos helped me out with a trailer rental. They both went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed, hooking up the trailer for me and even replacing the chains when the noticed they were rusted. This is by far the best uhaul experience I have ever had, these two deserve to be commended for their service.

The location just hooked me and up let me go. Didn't bother to look at "hey, this hitch is too high.". When I went back to ask about. 4-inch drop, "sorry we sell the parts separately but don't have tools to actually install them to help you.". This location also doesn't answer their phones, everything goes to a call center, making the experience more frustrating.

I chose this location because I've had good experiences in the past, but this time the staff was inattentive and rude. Three things stood out: 1. An employee marked my starting fuel level as “full,” but it was closer to 7/8ths. If I hadn't noticed this and corrected it, that 1/8th tank difference could have cost me 5 gallons, or over $25 at today's prices. 2. I ordered two “shorty wardrobe boxes” but was only given one bar to use with them. I had to go back and ask for this item after I noticed the mistake, which cost time. 3. Mike, who checked me in, was clearly in a rush despite the lack of a line behind me. In his haste, he forgot to place the 1/2 dozen furniture pads I had ordered in the truck. Another employee loaded them once I noticed this. Overall, I felt like the staff was more keen to shortchange me than to be helpful. I hope this was just an “off day” for them and not a pattern.

I was not able to drop off my trailer at the original location due to them being full and not accepting any drop offs. I was directed to take the trailer to this location on a Friday afternoon in Chicago. What a nightmare. I was extremely disappointed that I was required to do this. Uhaul broke down. Called road side assistance and was given the run around they couldnt find my coverage. After 2 hours of trying to get help finally road side assistance sends help. Took in additional 60/90 minutes at this point I had a time line to complete ended up calling family to help. Wasted $120 and couldnt use your equipment. On the way to return your equipment truck stopped twice!!! Not reliable rentals or service!

Overall not pleased. I told the company I only needed the rental for one way for less than 12 hours. Their system charges you for 2 full days - even if you do not use this. I wish I was told this prior to purchasing.

The U-Haul facility at 1200 W. Fullerton is beautiful and marvelous. I stored a large number of boxes there for many, many months, and then visited numerous times as I gradually moved these boxes to a more permanent location. It was always a great pleasure to visit the facility. Every member of the staff was invariably as kind, courteous and helpful as can be. Every area of the building is neat, clean and tidy, and the security system always functioned perfectly and was very reassuring. Bravo to the management and staff of the Fullerton U-Haul. I cannot be any more pleased and satisfied to have been a customer there, and I'm delighted to have this opportunity to most highly recommend the 1200 W. Fullerton U-Haul storage facility. Gracias.

The trucks are parked all over the place in no organized manner, in the lot. There is no separate entry way for customers wanting to move in. We had to go through several randomly parked trucks across the whole lot, carrying really heavy furniture and boxes and that made the whole process super inconvenient and rough.

It is a convenient location and everyone was friendly and helpful. Given what the ram has to work with they keep it maintained and clean; but it is an older facility. The door in our unit was difficult to open as it leans with time and you have to hold it up. The place needs some upgrading but it serves it's purpose.

Access to the units is not convenient. The loading/unloading area is in an inconvenient alley. The building loading entrance is several feet above ground level. It would be very difficult or impossible to get large items from a truck into the building. The elevator doors frequently close and interrupt efforts to load/unload the elevator.

I had a 15' truck and had to park outside the building with no street parking. The recommended alley was occupied by another truck. CSR was great but dragging my furniture up a long drive way/ramp was not something I was planning to do. Both the alley and driveway were not pedestrian friendly. I would like to suggest that the truck return area be used for guest instead of an alley.

The hinge of the door of my unit was bent went I received it. This made it extremely difficult to get in and out of my unit. Unacceptable how you rent units that are maintained like that. I will not be using Uhaul for storage again.

The people were very helpful and hard working - no complaints about staff, although i could tell they have a lot to deal with in terms of the physical layout of this location. The customer evening access hours are too restrictive - 8pm is very inconvenient to deny access for loading or unloading. Most storage places allow at least til 9 or even til 11pm. Pleas reconsider these hours. Great availability of carts, smooth elevator and clear map and markings of storage units. However, the whole layout of the office - loading - drop off area is a nightmare. The building overall is very dirty (especially compared to most storage units) but my storage unit is gross! There are splatters of I-dont'-know-what on the wall, a giant rat trap in the corner by a wall of dirty chipped and flaking brick and paint. Your company needs to clean, repair, de-bug and repaint when a unit is emptied out - seriously. Most of that is basic maintenance. If there is a larger rat or mouse problem I'm sure that being addressed but how bad is it that there is a trap IN my unit? I'm concerned that there maybe rats or mice in my stuff while using this unit. I did not have time to address this with staff before I left town for the month. I didn't think i was going to have to take time to address such issues. I've rented vehicles form Uhaul several times over the years and have been happy with that service but I have to say if this is how your storage facilities are I am not inclined to use them again if even the basic cleanliness and appearance does not improve.

Would be nice to have the option of choosing a storage unit and knowing if you are getting an upper unit before just being assigned. For light items an upper level is no issue, if you have heavier items, it would be better to be able to choose something a little more accessible

This place made moving better. Everyone was friendly and helpful and hard working. It was honestly just really encouraging to see everyone trying so hard. The only critique is for the maps inside the storage units. Maybe it was just me, but I had a hard time understanding them, especially with respect to where the upper units were with respect to the lower units. Fantastic place though! Would highly reccommend. Thanks to you all!

I don't know if it was just the weather or if the guy had a bad day, but he was just not helpful. He was kind of rude and only confused and made it harder to think about what I needed in the store. He insisted a queen sized bed would not fit in a 5x10x4 space but lo and behold it did! Same with all my extra large boxes that I stacked on top of each other. I think it was just a bad day but if I come into contact with that sort of behavior again, it'll just make my storage experience even more miserable than it already is. Everything was clean and well maintained. The temperature was just fine too.

The employees were helpful and kind. It's the location and inside setup. Too many rude customers, traffic on Fullerton, no space to really park to unload. And for the inside, I was in the second floor and then had to walk up stairs to get to my space. It was a rough moving day for me. The location convenience was good, and employees were great, but it's too small for what you all are trying to accommodate. Also, I considered adding another storage unit because I thought all of my stuff would not fit, but the online process was difficult. I had to set up another profile and do the process all over. Then, there was no guarantee I would have another unit nearby or in the same side of the building. I was so stressed.

I reserved a storage facility for my 2-bedroom apartment and was given a very tiny unit that could not even fit a small portion of my belongings. We then had to repack them truck at the facility and go to another storage unit across town. Check in process was extremely slow and now I'm concerned I wasn't checked out properly because I keep receiving emails from the facility and I am not using a storage unit there.

Made reservation for June 27, UHaul documents confirmed June 27, but UHaul text said move in 6/17. Local facility has 6/17, missed move in date. Local facility made new reservation over the phone,. Access code originally sent is denied. Now stuck in 40 minute waiting line in office. Worst experience.

Maybe a sign letting pedestrians know how to get in the building. I walked around trying to find a "welcoming" door and decided to just walk through the garage. Over 2 days I met a guy and a mother/daughter on the street who looked lost and they were trying to figure out the same thing. Just a suggestion.

Need to put up more signs alerting people that they will not have access if they don't check out. Not sure why you think it is effective to not allow a paying customer access to their belongings because they forgot to check out. It's really just poor customer service.

The original unit I was given had a massive pole in the entry way, so there way no chance my dresser or any other large object I needed to store would've fit. Why even rent this out? Not to mention the unit I switched to, I had to take all my things up a staircase and then again lift everything up 3 ft to get it up into the unit. This was completely unlike what the online description was. I would have never chosen this. The facility has horrible flooring so the carts bounce. I watched someone else moving into a storage unit have their glassware fall off their cart and shatter. Absolutely worst storage experience of my life. Would not recommend.
