Car dolly strap was too short to secure tire. Would not even reach ratchet. Had to unload car, return to uhaul. Uhaul desk receptionist told me she can't do anything for me. Fortunately, the manager had sense enough to swap out for a trailer with functional tire straps. Right turn signal went bad a mile down the road. You need to inspect your equipment!Cristina B.

"computer problems" and one new person made it to where with three people in front of me it took about an hour to get the trailer I had reserved the night before. Had a flat on the trailer. Called, try to get a call back, and then had to call back again and wait and wait to get somebody on the line to get the service person out for a flat tire. Lots of headaches as the phone number I put on the reservation was somehow changed during pickup. The lady I eventually got on the phone was very helpful and very professional. The service person was very fast, very nice, and very professional. He was a bright star on the rental.Raymond J.

The person who assisted with checking in the trailer was very helpful. He asked if I connected the trailer, and I told home no. He share with the trailer was connected wrong. I let him know I did ask the person who was connecting the trailer if it was connected right. The person said, yes. The connection did not look right to me. The person at this location informed me never to be afraid to ask questions. The trailer was connected wrong. Before he removed the connection of the trailer I took a picture. He showed me the the right way the trailer should be connected. I took a picture of the connection. I later went in and watched the video to learn he educated me on the right-way to connect the trailer in the near future, so I am aware. Pickup was adequate. I was unable to specify my drop off point during pick up which was contrary to what I was told during the call to discuss the reservation. Not a good experience. There was a full service U-Haul operation directly across the street from our move in. Instead I was given some location 29 mins away in houston traffic after moving all day.Gregg W.

The key drop off took us and others that were dropping off a very long time to find, we actually drove around the entire building trying to find the orange box that was in the linked picture but turned out it was a tiny slot on a garage door, could barely even see the key drop off sign on it! Definitely could use some signage for those dropping off outside of business hours but other than that the location was great!Hannah W.

We picked up the 4x8 trailer and was told the lights were working. We proceeded to leave that day on a trip from Texas to Florida. Daughter informed us that the brake and running lights were not working on passenger side. We tried to get them to work but they would not. we had to drive at night without lights on one side. We get to Florida and had to create road side assistance case. took over 24 hours to get response. We had to call in. A mechanic was sent to fix but was unable to fix lights. We were in Destin and was assigned a new trailer in Miami. We had to call back and look for one closer. We finally received a working trailer. I asked for compensation for all the hours we spent trying to get a working trailer. We were credited $77 but I do not feel that was enough. We spent too much time on this rather than enjoying the beach as planned.Rene M.

The trailer I rented certainly had some wear and tear, but didn't effect the function of the trailer at all. Using the online app was helpful and it made it easy. Although once I arrived at the location, it's not really clear where to park, and where to go. If I rented frequently, I would think it would be very easy and convenient once you learn the ropes.Bret W.

They had 6 trucks in the parking lot and they told the customer ahead of me that their last truck had broken down and there was no way to help him. When I said I had a reservation, I was told she might be able to help me. They did have a truck for me. When I asked about the blankets I had reserved, I was told they had no blankets anywhere on the premises. One of the employees said I'd have to drive across town to pick up blankets from another store. I asked if he could call and ask if they would set aside some blankets for me. He called, asked if they had blankets and said "see, they have blankets" as he hung up the phone. I had to drive 2.5 miles to the other U-Haul where I proceeded to wait for 20 minutes to get blankets. Overall, it was a terrible experience.KEITH W.

Have an associate try the vehicle to the pickup area for trucks, or have an associate show the patron where the truck is in the parking lot. I was sent around the building and towed where my truck was. My truck was not there. It was on the other side of the building. 30 minutes of me trying with error trying to find my truck was a hassle in this heat.Amanda H.

I called to confirm my reservation and the lady was extremely unhelpful. She didn't even know if the office worker was "down there because she could have sworn she came in and said by a long time ago" even though the website said it was open. I asked if there was a way to go check or call the desk specifically to see and she said "oh sorry she doesn't have a phone down there so you'll just have to go see" It was an absolute nightmare picking up our truck with the 24/7 check in and on top of that they never gave us the dolly and furniture cloths we paid for. Wait was extremely long - took an hour to get my rental. Even tho I made a reservation, there was not a trailer available at first but one was returned just as I got there. There was another individual who did not have a truck for her reservation because they rented it out earlier in the day. I think this location needs some organization or process improvement around reservations. Would also be nice to have an express lane for people with reservations. Despite all this, I would still rent from there but may look at other locations first.DeAndrea B.

Have trained staff that know what they are doing. I made a reservation 4 momths in advance and was told equipment i soecificallt was told was going to be available was not due to reservations. I had made a reservation so tuat did not make sense. Also the people on the phone kept messing up my reservation and changing the location and then it took me two days to fix. I felt like i had to keep calling to make sure your staff was doing their job correctly.William E.

The owner of the facility really should work on her people skills. Also, the facility is very quick to assess fees. If these two items were improved, customers would be more likely to keep their units longer. Also, they would be more apt to pay their bills on time. Got what I was looking for. 24 hour access, auto pay, within my budget, and a spacious storage unit. Used it last night with no issue. Guy who helped us was casual and friendly. Really needed a storage unit for awhile now, so glad this is done. This was a filthy u haul. I don't understand what has happen to U haul. They used to be a good, reliable company. But after the.past couple of horrendous experiences we had between storage and trailer rental, we will never use this company again. We were in and out very fast, the only thing was the prices did not match on everything , For example the truck rental said 1995 and I also opted for the $14 insurance so somehow or another my bill came out to $54 , I just thought that was weird because it said 1995 and then $14 that’s $35 but somehow my bill came out to $54 and then we rented a 5 x 10 storage it said 7495 a month but the lady charged me $85 a month so somewhere in the process of getting checked out the price is changedPAUL R. | First Impressions

Online check still required check in at facility. Staff at facility (Karen/Greg) was professional, positive, and most helpful. Avg rating for this reason. Though I have 24-hour access, system did not work after hours. Created a huge problem with a 26ft truck with with furniture to move in. On June 3 at 11 PM at night I had no other recourse but to stack up the truck and my home garage because the truck needed to be returned the following day. Not at all happy about that incident. That night when trying to gain access, there was another customer there experiencing the same situation. Though he called the contact number there was nothing U-Haul could do to reset or to provide entry. I also contacted U-Haul to which they informed me that there was nothing they could do to give me access after hours. This is a situation that you have needs to seek to resolve. When you have a full truck of items that need to be unloaded, you must definitely need 24 hour access that was agreed-upon in the contract. However the next day when I return to the facility, Greg research and determined that he could not explain what happened the previous evening. He tested reset and tested my card and walked over to ensure it was working. No explanation for the access being denied the previous night. He promised to research and determine if my contract could be extended or what credit accommodations U-Haul would make for the unfortunate experience the previous night.Kim M. | Online Move In
