I think that the advertise 19.95 U-Haul rental of a cargo van or pickup is great. However I have spent like $1,000 in the past 6 months on these vehicles and you charge me so much money for mileage it is ridiculous. The charges and up charges, I actually just had one of your beautiful new pickups with 700 miles on it. I never got to use it I had to go straight to work and work all day and then I was exhausted. My total bill was $58 when I only traveled 11 miles to work. Far cry from $19.25. it is always like this the last time I rented from you it was like $360 for my cargo van ridiculous. And so on and so forth don't get me talking about the you box that you sent across the country when I was here. Please advise as to all these errors and mistakes. Now your staff I think is nice and I can relate to Troy number one and then Megan and I don't know the guy's name that cleans the course outside the older man but he's nice too. However he charged me for a gallon of gas $9 ridiculous. That needle didn't move. The vehicle that I use yesterday I didn't even get dirty it didn't even have to be cleaned. And they still charged me extra ridiculous again.Kathy R.

The person on duty gave me the impression I was imposing on him in some way. I walked in and greeted him he did not even acknowledge me. We went to look over the truck and he said heard a noise under the truck ( which I did not) made a big deal about it by bringing someone else over to check it and indicated that I had done something to cause it. Finally he said I had a $17 balance for extra miles. I asked if the more than 1/2 a tank of gas more than was required would offset the balance he said there was nothing he could do. He gave me the manager's card it I wanted to pursue it further. No "thank you" or any kind of acknowledgement at all. The difference in the customer service of the two locations was striking. There is another uhaul location near me and I will be going out of my way to rent from them and avoid this location.Donald M.

Didn't credit me additional gas, that I put in. Instead of stated that there was a dolly inside the truck that she didn't charge me for, which I didn't use at all. Also the lady stated that she needs to charge me for sweeping, when the truck was swept prior of returning. This was my third location as U-Haul did not have equipment at the first and they didn't notify me. The second location was not open and I couldn't be transferred to a 24/7 pickup so I had to be sent to a third location. When I arrived the service was subpar at best considering he barely said 2 words to let me know he even heard me as he studied hair marketing.Jasmine M.

I had search for a 26" truck and was guaranteed that I could get one there which was out of my way. I arrived and could not get the proper truck and had to resort to a smaller truck. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and understanding but It was a major inconvenience.Carl P.

Tori was helping a customer when I got there to pick up and auto transport. I made it so the other customer was able to go pick up the car that they needed an auto transport for over what kind of car that I was picking up. Tori made sure that both customers got the equipment that was needed for the job. Amazing customer servicemike B.
Megan Robison (General Manager) has always gone above and beyond to assist me whenever I need anything from Uhaul and this time was no exception! Megan was able to get me a van on short notice and made sure the van was spotless before I left the Uhaul facility. When I told Megan I was unsure how long I needed the van, she told me to stay in touch with her and she would accommodate my needs regardless of how long I needed the van. Prior to my return when I was unsure how much gas I needed, Megan answered immediately and advised me how much gas the van needed before being returned. Megan is an excellent representation of the Uhaul and is a someone who should be considered for any/all future promotions in management as her compassion and elite customer service skills should be taught to newer employees to properly represent Uhaul.Jake B.

I was very unhappy with the customer service woman who Che led me back in when I returned !!!!!! She was rude And very unprofessional!!!! When I came back , I drove up to the drop area, read the sign to please stay with your vehicle and attendant would be out to check you in. I sat there for approximately 15 minutes thinking maybe they were helping customers at the desk on on the phones. I saw multiple workers walking around inside and the decided to go in for help When I entered the store, I asked is someone would be comjgout for my return and the woman behind the desk doing nothing said no , you are supposed to come inside . I was confused because the directions clearly stated to stay with the vehicle !! I approached desk and she took my key and walked away . She went outside and never returned . She must have checked the vehicle in without me being present and printed out my final bill from outside but never came back in. Another employee saw it and handed it to me . I said the 12 blankets that I rented were in the back of truck if anyone cared. As I stood there for awhile with this final bill I finally asked if this medi wax done and could go ????????? Everything there was excellent except fot the fact that there was a mouse problem and when i emptied my unit i had multiple items that needed to be thrown out,some of these items were things my mother gave me before she passed. These items were wrapped in plastic and stored in uhaul boxes and were damaged beyond repair. I have this location a fair review however my experience was terrible. I reserved a 26 foot box truck from the Bristol location. They didn't t have the equipment when I arrived and changed my reservation to a smaller truck. No call, no heads up. They did redirect me to Levittown where they had the truck. This added time and miles to a project that was not accounted for. A good experience for the location but Uhaul took a hit in my book.GREGORY R.

One person working on a Saturday morning at 9am seems light. Long wait to pick up a trailer, the person working struggled to connect trailer. When I returned the trailer at 2pm, the person working had no idea how to disconnect it. I tried not to embarrass him but had to step in and disconnect it myself before he hurt himself. I recieived an email and text 24 hours later saying my return was not registered and that I may still have the equipment. The reason for the 3 stars are as follows, when we picked up the pickup truck (The only one available) the first thing we noticed was the smell of cigarettes, being a former smoker and quitting over 7 years ago, trust me I was about to throw up. Unfortunately we needed the truck. There was also dog hair everywhere, we have dogs and love dogs we just don't feel that renting a uhaul should be this dirty, considering when we arrived about 3 employees were all joking and having a great time. We woke up the next day to a flat tire but uhaul was very good at accommodating us. That's also why we gave the 3 stars. I will always recommend uhaul and I will use uhaul again. This is just an honest assumption from my eyes.Rod K.

I am completely disappointed with uhaul and totally fed up. I have been a loyal customer who has been renting all the time and I have been experiencing nothing but issues and problems and I will be calling corporate tomorrow. Trucks are never at the scheduled locations and I am always forced to get a different size truck. On top of it the locations that can accommodate me are 45 minutes out of my way and than I am charged for miles. This is an awful business model. The truck I rented Last breaks, steering, and reverse were all messed up and the truck didn't sound like it was going to make it to where we need to go.PATRICK M.

When i rented the truck the contract said the tank was full. On inspection i informed the rep that it was about 7/8. On return i filled the tank to 7/8 less than 1/2 a mile from location. I put 5.5 gallons in and then was charged for another 4 gallons at the locaton. So I put nearly 10 gallons in the tank for a 42 mile rental. I think not.MICHAEL F.

Back in May I moved from NJ to FL and used this location to have a hitch installed weeks prior so I would be able to tow a 5x8 trailer with my belongings. I went in and asked for the parts to be ordered and explained what I needed and that I had reserved a 5x8 trailer at a uhaul location in NJ for my move. The person who helped me went to my car multiple times to see what parts were needed and then he placed the order. I waited for the parts to come in and was told I would be contacted when they arrived. Nearly a week after I was told I would be contacted I decided to give them a call and was told the parts were there so I made the appointment to have them installed. I dropped my car off to have the parts installed and when I went to pick it up and pay, the technician asked if I was going to use it for a bike rack. I explained to the technician that I was moving to FL and towing a trailer with my newly installed hitch. He let me pay and then explained that I was missing the clip that attached the ball to the bar and I said I would need that since I had just explained I was towing a trailer behind my vehicle. I purchased the piece separately and left thinking I had just checked off an important step for my move. Fast forward to the day before I was going to pick up the the 5x8 trailer. I was reviewing the checklist provided by uhaul and checked my car for the wiring needed to connect my car to the trailer. I saw it was not there and I contacted this location several times and was transferred to the main Uhaul line each time. I explained the situation to the CS representative and asked if there were any locations that could install the wiring I would need for the next day. Every location was either without the wiring or their hitch technician was off that day. I then called as many other businesses (pep boys, etc) as I could and each said the same thing that the parts would need to be ordered which would take at least a week. I could not wait a week as my lease was ending and I had scheduled movers. I called uhaul back and went through many options with a second CS rep like getting a uhaul pak or a bigger truck and towing my vehicle behind. It ended up that the only option for me was renting a box truck and dolly to tow my car down to FL due to needing it the next day. This ended up costing a thousand dollars more than the 5Ã-8 trailer and made me very uncomfortable having to drive such a long distance with that setup. It ended up that the Levittown location was where I was supposed to pick up the truck and dolly. When I went to pick up the truck, I explained the situation to the person helping me that I had come weeks before to get the parts installed and while they had been ordered initially (per email that I received when I went in the first time to request the parts) they were never installed and I had not known this until it was too late. He said that should not have happened, the technician should have known, and that he was sorry for the inconvenience. I moved to FL and didn't reach out to uhaul until much later as I hate confrontation and honestly wanted the situation behind me. When I did send an email I was contacted by the manager of this location and I explained to her what happened and that I needed the difference between the first reservation (5x8 trailer) and the second (truck and dolly) refunded since it was over a thousand dollars and due to her location not installing what was requested. She said she would submit a claim and she refunded the one hundred and something dollars for the botched hitch installation which I had not requested. She said she was only able to refund up to $600 and would have to request the higher amount. After several weeks of ignoring my emails she finally got back to me that she had not heard anything about the first claim and would submit a second one. I asked at that time for her to please refund the six hundred she was allowed while we waited to hear back from whoever was allowed to approve the higher amount. Again I waited and was ignored until finally I received an email from her telling me that since the installation was refunded and the six hundred was refunded that the claim had been denied. She also said that I should not have gone through the main uhaul line and should have contacted her store directly and then she would have been able to help me out. I explained I did contact her store and was put through to the main line, I never asked for the installation refund, and I asked for the six hundred in good faith that I would be able to receive the additional amount. The entire problem was caused by her store not installing what I specifically requested and then to be told that my actions were the reason she could not help me make it very clear that she just wants me to stop emailing her. I never write negative reviews and do my best to not complain but the fact that I did everything in my power to have a smooth move and then have to deal with this after the fact has me very frustrated.Chelsea W.

I reserved a van to be picked up remotely and contactless. This how ever was not the case. I finished the LONG process it takes to get the key all to be told I have to go have contact with someone. The app states that you can â€œskip the lineâ€ and just show your phone to an employee and they hand you the key. Nope. I had to wait WELL over 20 minutes to be handed my key. The female that was working, her attitude was horrible. She didn't say have a nice day, go **** yourselfâ€¦ nothing. Just handed me the key and pretty much shooed me away. I will never rent from this location again because of her. Returning the van was not nearly as painful as picking it up. The two gentlemen were awesome and refunded me the $7 I was charged for a unit dolly that was never received. Those are the type of employees you want to be working for you.Ashley T.

Once Tom was gone, it was a far better facility. Prior to Meghan, the facility was terrible. Meghan was easier to contact, the team understood what was going on and able to give answers and be of assistance more frequently. We loved having our stuff at Uhaul & never felt like it was going to be taken or anything. We were there for a total of 5 years & the last year has been much better than the other 4.
