Everyone was great at this location and I had an overall "Perfect Experience" with UHaul. The General Manager (?) at the 2529 Lemay Ferry location had a real "attitude" on the morning of 5/21/22. It was raining and I went to enter the building through an open garage door with an open man door directly adjacent to it that lead onto the showroom floor. There were no lines painted on the ground and no signs that indicated these accesses should not be used. When I attempted to enter the man door a woman wearing a shirt that had "General Manager" on it said with quite the attitude "Wrong Door". I stopped and made sure she was addressing me. We were the only two people in the showroom and the adjacent area. She then said "That's the wrong door" with the same attitude. I stopped entering at which point she said with disdain "You can come in that way...". I said "No, that's ok, if your going to make a big deal out of it I'll go around." I then walked back out and all the around through the front door and across the showroom where we were the only two there. We then proceeded with the transaction. My family has lived in this neighborhood for five generations as have majority of this area's residents. We are quite, polite, and private people and we do not take well to this type of attitude. It only take a few incidents like this to get around our tight-knit community before a place gets a bad reputation. We all have bad days, but if this is your General Manager and this is her disposition then you will loose business. I suggest you change her attitude or you change your General Manager.george H.

Lloyd and the girl that checked us out were wonderful. Great customer service! Very nice and very helpful. They were very busy and still kept their cool. If you have an internal reward or bonus, they both deserve it. I would go back to this location. Thank you I set up my reservation online on Friday for a mobile pick-up on Sunday morning. A Joanne called me on Saturday advising this had not been set up as 24-hour service so she set it up at another location for when the store opened. She was very helpful and nice and I was grateful she called me. Because it would have been a different story if we showed up on Sunday with nothing and no one to help us.Paula K.

I don't hold the staff responsible for being overworked, BUT this very LARGE facility needs to hire more staff to service customers, answer the phone, etc. This is NOT on the employees who were courteous but on the OWNERS! Do better! Hire more people, one or two can't do all the work!Max K.

This issue has nothing to do with drop-off location: we were quoted per day pricing when calling the 800# to set up reservation; we used the trailer one day (morning pickup and evening drop off) and were told there would be no price adjustment or credit for the early return; still don't understand how you can charge for two days when we used it just oneLori P.

If someone picks up a truck or trailer after 3 or so should be charged a one day rental as long as the said items are returned by closing the following day. I worked for a rental company for 3 years and that could possibly cost you business. I'm sure this will never get read but this is my opinion. I got charged a full extra day for being two hours over the â€œ24 hrâ€ period.Jason S.

The location that uhaul emailed me to drop off the vehicle was full and couldn't accept the trailer. I called uhaul and was transferred twice. I drove to another location and they were full too. Finally the third location accepted my return. The lady working there was very helpful.SCOTT L.

Communicate was poor, I wasn't called the day before to confirm and the pick up location changed. So I had to travel further to pick it up. Then the cable to the trailer lights did not work so I had to again drive back to the location I picked the trailer up at.Joseph S.

The location and customer service was excellent. The truck was not, it's actually the worst truck I've had from uhaul. The driver's seat was torn and seat cushion very lopsided due to use. The cab of the truck had a very unpleasant smell, basically just smelled dirty, had to ride with the windows down. The truck needs an alignment or something with the suspension needs to be looked at. It was a functional truck but definitely just a very used truck.Alicia G.
The gentleman that helped me on Friday was very courteous and helpful. The lady at the front desk was great in working with me. She remembered who I was when I forgot my drivers license. There were four people being paid to be there (I.e. not â€œworkingâ€). Could hardly be roused to get off their phones or stop their personal conversations to help me. I had unused boxes to return and didn't have the receipt as I bought them online. They said they couldn't access this, so gave me the price they had in store that I know was less than what I paid online and it took them forever to even do this. Keep truck maintenance up-to-date. My truck had a transmission that made shifting difficult and sounded like the engine would fall out. Steering wheel was wobbly and hard to drive. Also, do not charge the customer a gas fee when it is required for customer to refill the gas already.Wiiliam L.

The whole reservation system is a mess. I reserved the vehicle at a location in Arnold MO and it was confirmed. Then just two days before my scheduled rental the location was changed to another location 13 miles further away. This is NOT acceptable. If the vehicle in question isn't available at the time of booking, don't allow the reservation to go thru.Richard N.

Showed up to the first location and was told they would not open until 9am. Callled the UHAUL number and they sent me to another location. Frustrating that I was at the first location at 7:05am and was not on the road until after 8am.Kevin L.

Jason, who delivered the full u-boxes from storage and then picked them up after we emptied them, was great. Friendly and knowledgeable. There was some poor communication from the office regarding delivery and pick up times - times were given but then changed and not communicated to me, prompting me to need to call to find out what was going on. Overall the process was good and I'd recommend using u-boxes to others.Patricia M.

I returned the truck off hours and had a little difficulty using the app. An employee happened to be on the lot leaving for the evening and alleviated my concerns by letting me know if I cannot get logged in to not worry just lock it up and drop off the keys. I've been a long time uhaul customer and have been very happy to have a uhaul now in my neighborhood. The staff every time has been top notch. Like most businesses they are having staffing problems when I picked up the trailer there was only a new front counter lady. The other employee that is installing hitch's had to come and help her out a few times as she was still learning the system. During my drop off there was a ton more people and the gentleman that helped could not of been nicer. The place is clean and inviting my only thing they need is more staff, I had to hook up my trailer For me that's ok biggie but for some not the best idea if your not seasoned in trailers. We had further great customer service by the young man that was operating the fork lift that day. He helped us three times without us asking him to. Long story short moving had a lot of issues beyond our control. It was stressful and we had to pull an all-nighter to get everything in time. Came to this facility with no experience in storing items, felt down and stressed, but was met with the best customer service I have ever experienced. Didn't have to ask for anything but was offered so much help and support. They were kind, patient, and helpful in every step. Todd is hands down the nicest and best employee I have ever met in customer service. He kept our spirits up when we were down and he went above and beyond. Give this guy a raise Uhaul seriously, this is the example of a great and dedicated employee who has a heart. Helpful from beginning to end. This place, like many is understaffed and it is clear this is the person keeping everything rolling. I'd like to start this review by saying that the ONLY reason I gave my experience an excellent rating is because of one specific person and his willingness to go above and beyond to help out a tired, frantic, overwhelmed single mom when all she wanted to do was get her things into her new storage unit and rest after a long day of moving. The process for reserving and checking in online was incredibly easy. I loved that I didn't have to talk to anyone. However, I wish I had because I found out that I would have gotten my first month free. I saw it advertised on the website, but it was not offered to me online when I reserved the unit. Live and learn, I suppose. Here's where the issue arose. I loved the communication about hours and availability when I reserved the unit and I made sure to check the hours SEVERAL times before we decided to bring things over. In the emails I received, it was stated that the access hours for the storage units were till 6pm every day. My partner and I showed up at approximately 10 minutes till 6pm on Sunday, November 28, to unload our things and were told that the storage access was already closed because the new facility was only operating during office hours and the office closed at 5pm on Sundays. I was DEVASTATED. I had nowhere else to take my things and was about to have a full-blown panic attack right there in the loading/unloading area. Thankfully, the wonderful, amazing, life-saving man (I believe his name was Todd) who was just getting off work opened the doors to allow us to very quickly move all of our things into the storage unit. I know that he got quite a tongue-lashing from his boss for doing it, but I was so incredibly grateful for him having a little compassion and taking time out of his personal time to help us out. This man deserves all the recognition in the world for going above and beyond the call of duty. He didn't have to get my attention to inform me about the building being closed. He could have just let me stand out there confused and, to be frank, completely screwed. He didn't have to listen to my sob story about having nowhere else to go with the things. And he DEFINITELY didn't have to get chewed out by his superior for making the decision to provide exceptional customer service and help me out. It may not seem like much, but to me he was a complete and total life-saver and I will be forever grateful for his kindness and compassion at time when I needed it most.
