There are so many U boxes stacked up everywhere people are running into the buildings , I had bugs in my storage unit I'm going to have to go through everything and remove cockroach fecal matter and possibly eggs. Why is storage not pro rated I should not have to pay for the rest of the month for an empty storage unit I'm no longer using if someone else moves into 137 or 113 before the end of the month that's basically double dipping. The equipment could be a little better maintenance. Both times I've rented from u haul. There were indicator lights on . The Silverado was way over for a oil change. The 10 ft box truck light was on for the tire monitoring system. From what I could see I'm guessing one of tpm sensors on one of the tires was bad. Didn't have any problems on either trip. Over all the experience was good. The employees were friendly. The equipment was fairly clean.Shelly G.

When I got the unit the lady that helped was very nice when I left less then 2 weeks earlier the staff that helped me were rude never spoke to a manager like I was told I would and wouldn't give me any kinda money back. When I first got the unit and opened the door there were dead bugs all in it you'd think they would at least sweep it up before letting you rent it. When we started out in Michigan, the folks up there at the Lansing office we're very confusing on what we needed to do. We were told not to put a lock on the container and we also received several phone calls after the container was delivered on when we wanted the container delivered. It was really confusing and at one point we thought the container was still in Michigan because it showed the order had been canceled. I will think twice before using this service again. Thank goodness the people in Leesburg Florida were extremely helpful in getting things squared away.David O.

U-Haul in florida was great. Not so at the recipient end at W. Lynwood Washington! They changed the deilivery date several times which resulted in another's month charge on the U-Box. I didn't care for the way the manager sent me to Ocala because they were closer to my house. I had a storage unit in Leesburg at her facility. I put extra miles on the U-Haul truck and then when I got to Ocala he sent me back to Leesburg. At this time the manager changed her attitude and helped me. I am at this point wasting money putting the trailer stuff in a storage building when I could had left it in the trailer and would had cost me less money. When I went to move into my storage unit there was a younger gentleman and an older gentleman That had just pulled up to the same building my storage unit is in. SpaceThey had bolt cutters with them and they were watching me as I was moving into my storage unit. The young man went into a storage unit ( I'm assuming it was his) and then proceeded to change into new clothing right there in the hall of all the storage units. The employee that was with me said nothing to them and it was a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not comfortable that somebody was allowed to go into the storage units with a bolt cutter knowing that they could've cut anybody's lock and there's no cameras inside of the building. Just average. I had 2 units: one climate controlled, and the other was not. The staff was great, but the facility was crowded with U boxes. It was often hard to get at the keypads. I paid for my storage a day before put address in GPS to move my family from one city to another only to be led to the middle of nowhere. Cried for 30 mins because I was lost. Spoke to a rep that was nonchalant and put me on another 20 min hold in the middle of nowhere. Minding you I've been already driving for 7 hours. I was ready to get to storage and get to my home after only to find out the address listed was 1 hour and 6 mins away from my actually destination. Ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere. My husband had to leave me and my children to get gas because we couldn't tell anyone where we were. SO I NEVER MADE IT TO A UNIT I PAID FOR. Drove an extra 1hr on the uhaul truck that I know their going to make me pay for. Which is completely unfair. I was given 131 in miles and was only driving 88 miles. I had tried calling there a few different times over the 10 1/2 months that I used the unit. The only frustration I had was not being able to get through to the store even though I called the number to that store. After several attempts & having to call other stores & finally being able to be taken care of through the system but not through that store was my need taken care of. I live a couple hours away so when I need to reach them it's frustrating not to be able to get through on the phone. In the end it took another trip in there after getting my stuff out to close the unit w/ in the 10 day prior requirement, because I wasn't able to get through on the phone. Where do I begin... Let me 1st say there are some great staff members here That do try to go out of their way to help you. But then you run into the ones that just really want to ruin your day. Like going in in finding out the handle has been broken off the door going into your storage unit and being told we have to wait until the manager comes back off a vacation to have it fixed. In 2 weeks later it's still not fixed. Or walking into the climate control building and it's smelling of cat pee P. And being told it's not my fault I didn't put the cat in there! But my all time favourite thing of all was when the guy in the next unit that it was great to poor stuff over the wall into our unit. With the exception of being locked inside the fence overnight with both of our dogs and our then 9-year-old daughter after we paid the upgrade fee to allow for 24 hour access, our experience during the term of our agreement went relatively smoothly. That was until March 1st of 2020 when we moved our belongings out of our storage unit and notified staff that we no longer required use of the facilities. At that time we were paid through the end of February of 2020. The on-site manager even let us borrow a screwdriver and a broom to sweep out the unit before we left. So there is no question that we notified staff we were ending our rental term with Uhaul at that time. Uhaul has consistently continued to charge me monthly rent and just this month completed the process of "selling" our belongings within the unit (it was empty) to apply toward our balance despite several emails informing them that the unit had been empty since 03/01/2020. According to their records I now owe them over $2000 for a years plus worth of monthly storage fees for a unit I did not use in that time frame. So, I would say my overall experience with renting a storage unit from Uhaul of Lady Lake went about as poorly as could be imagined. I fully expect I will need a lawyer to clear up the mess they have created.Mary P. | Overall Experience

From bringing our personal items from the Chicago area here to Leesburg in two X-Boxes and then transferring them to two climate- controlled storage units while we found a home in the area, and finishing with the moving company having no problem loading everything up and bringing it to our new home, I could not be happier with U-Haul. Alexandrea here at the Leesburg facility was very friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect. For example, she used the forklift to move our two X-Boxes closer to the storage units door to save us time and steps with the unloading.
