Over charged us for fuel. Charged us a late fee for them not checking the vehicle back in even though we had it back on time. Told us to screw off with both issues basically. Wouldn't recommend this location to my best friend, but maybe my enemy. Won't be returning.

Unit was offered to me as a "5x10," I didn't realize that this meant 5x5x10, as in a 5x5 unit that you can go 10 feet high in. I got a late fee and nasty gram from you even though I thought I had ser up automatic withdrawals for those. A friendly reminder prior to tacking on a late fee the very first month would be much more customer friendly, but I've come to the sad conclusion that uhaul does not care, even a little bit, about their customers. Between the storage issues, problems with my Uboxes and don't get me started on "Moving helpers," it's quite obvious that uhaul has designed their systems and policies to extract as much money out of customers as possible while providing customers as little as possible. I get it, it's capitalism, that is the function of business, provide shareholders with the greatest profit margin possible. When that margin comes at the cost of your customers though, eventually your business will topple. As I've said to others from uhaul along the way, I hope that you and yours live long and interesting lives. You've certainly added enough stress to mine.

The U-haul app was AWFUL for returning the truck. It would NOT keep my session. As I am checking in the truck, in the rain, I need to go to different places around the truck and move some things back to my car. If I don't respond in the app within 5min or less, the app RESETS me back to the beginning!?! It did that twice! It took me three times of starting over from scratch to get the return completed! Additionally, the credit card I had entered and saved with my U-haul login was NOT saved in the app!?! This caused additional time and frustration. I ended up being soaked to the bone and couldn't even charge my phone when I was done because I had been out with it in the rain for too long. I had not had such a poor experience with the U-haul app before. Here are some quick/easy improvements for U-haul, if they are interested... - Persistent Session: once I start a session, have entered photos and data, keep is saved so I can continue where I left off. At least for an hour. A user should surely finish within that time. - Web to App Consistency: if I enter and save a credit card in my account on the website, it should ALSO be saved in my account on the app. Why wouldn't that be the desired result? Two fixes that would make a world of difference.

I wasn't able to complete the 24/7 process as I had planned. Even though my phone settings allowed my location to be seen, the web site indicated I wasn't at the location. Therefore it asked me to scan the code at the store, but that wouldn't scan correctly. Fortunately the store was open and Garry was able to assist me.

The original truck we were assigned had higher mileage and lower fuel level than indicated on contract. Also, there was body damage on the truck that was not indicated and not verified by U-Haul before we were assigned to it. After correction was made, we finally left the U-Haul rental location after taking nearly 1 1/2 hours to simply rent the truck. Then, after driving about 12 miles to the storage shed where we were going to load our belongings into the truck at, the check engine light in the truck wentbon. I phoned the place we rented it from told us to drive it vack & that we would be given a different truck. Good thing we didn't spend time & effort loading the truck. When we returned to the rental location we were given a different truck that worked well. When it came time to return the truck (1 day early, & after hours forvthe business) the online check In / drop off failed with 3 or 4 check-in numerical codes failing on the internet check-in system. We then needed to return the next day when the business was open for the staff there to help us with the drop off. They also had complications with the online drop off proceedure, but finally completed it for us. Overall this was a trying experience.

Didn't like the location of my units. Way in the back!!! I was told there was not a unit closer to the door because the back had to be filled first. I then seen other customers be given a closer unit. The young guy insulted my intelligence, and said they had to fill the back location first, unless you were a senior citizen. Yeah sure!!!! That's why I read first come first serve! Thats why I investigated and many were not as far as me. I was the only one back there by my units at the time, and knew that was a lie. I seen many other units in the front filled with locks. My first unit was closer! There was no one by my unit, until a year later. I believe my skin color had something to do with it (Native American, Spanish, and AfricanAmerican). No I am not throwing out a race card, just my experience, where in Chippewa Falls, WI racism is the norm. I left because of the unfair treatment of my kind of people or being black. I was use to the treatment, which one should never get use to but didn't care for it. This incident did make me think about unfair treatment more often at times toward my people: I felt like those on the (the back of the bus, black only restaurants, and unfair minority ordeals for my blacks ancestors and other cultures, how they must of felt...and It effects me still!). I started to wonder if all Caucasian are starting to be like this, until I moved to Chicago and met wonderful people. Also I paid the young blonde head guy, cash for the first month storage (to be 2 months ahead), but Paul the manager said, the young man did not applied it to my account. The young man, put I had used my free month storage payment instead. This only put me a month ahead. That was not the case and I have no reason to lie! I also had proof (of a person standing there). Paul told me that with it being cash, I wasn't able to provide proof, so I lost money. And this could have cost me my storage unit, which my entire household was in. So I was not a happy camper. From then on, I always paid my bill very early and got a receipt right away, paid with the same card. I am out of $154.00. I believe its because my skin color once again which is sad. But These two issues were the only problems I had and because I used cash and didn't get a receipt at the time, it's just unfortunate experience of my movin on my end. I learned to cover your investments any way necessary.. Well, at least I can say; after the incident, the next 3 yrs of service there was great. The rest of the staff were great. Paul is great manager and goes way beyond to help customers resolve issues, even though he couldn't resolve mine! I never seen that guy who took my money again. If it wasn't for my move in issue. I would have rated 5 star given you excellent review. That is why, I only gave it 2 stars. This location was great other than my move in day (with the too far unit issue 1475/1477, and lost of money). I would most definitely recommend it. I also want to thank your customer service. They do a great job

Units did not have a lock inside the unit as advertised. I rented a 10' x 15' unit but ended up getting a 5x10 and 10x10 unit. Units are smaller than advertised and one unit has a column in the corner that further reduces the use of the space. Side wall supports further reduce space.

When you damage anyone's vehicle, good customer service IS RESPONSIBLE AND OWNS UP TO THE DAMAGE. Good customer service TAKES CARE OF A UHAUL LOYALIST. I've put 3 UHAUL hitches on my vehicles over the years and rented. Good customer service DOES NOT BRANDISH THE CUSTOMER OF BEING AT FAULT while creating possible scenarios the customer supposedly did for the DAMAGE UHAUL DID. Good customer service LEADS WITH INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER from a top level down. This is not what I've experienced from this international company.

The only complaints I have is how far we had to cart our things to our unit. For us personally, it was very inconvenient as I'm putting almost an entire household in storage. The other complaint I have is a couple of times we came to our unit, there was someone sleeping in a vehicle parked inside the garage.

My only issue was that the width of the 5x10x10 door was considerably narrower than 5 feet. It made it very difficult to get a couch through the door with a wall right across from it. Other than that, everything was great; love the indoor storage.

The facility was great. Love the big doors for my box truck and the indoor loading area. Carts are available. Worked well for my storage during remodeling.

Chippewa falls uhaul was very helpful, Eau Claire was NOT. That was the location I was supposed to be at, apparently they are not cleaning out their units to make their numbers look better. So people like myself are inconvenienced and have to drive an hour round trip for her dorm room furniture

Here is the problem! When I signed up I asked the person at the desk to set me up as auto pay. When I got the first email bill I realized that it wasn't done. I called the phone number and after a 30 minute hold I paid online and tried to set up autopay, it was confirmed I thought. I therefore go Oreo the July bill as I thought I had auto pay. When I got. A late notice with a 40$ late fee. I called again and after a 22 minute hold got to a person who said he put me on auto pay and charge me 149$ for the two units. He said he didn't have the authority to waive the late fee. Said he would transfer me directly to someone who could. I was placed right back in to the call in line and a projected 26 min hold. I hung up . This morning I was charged the 40$ with no explanation.The phone system is awful and answered by people with no authority. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

When sent the move in information a brief explanation of where the unit is located in reference to the building would be very helpful (inside, outside, behind building, etc.) Also I was told there would be a lock provided in my storage shed and there was not. Not a huge deal, but still a minor inconvenience.

The linoleum tile flooring is half-missing & very dirty in one storage unit, but the other unit is great. Keeping the building at max 85 degrees is a little too warm in the summer (we were sweating buckets when the building was at 80). Overall though, I really like this facility. It's secure & clean, and the people are friendly.

I liked everything about the process except for the fact that I was assignef two 5 x 5 units rather than one 10 x 10 so I needed to go to the front desk to get a 10 x 10 unit. I would assume that was a system issue, not an on site issue.

I had no choice but to come into the store as nobody answered the phone at all. I was on hold every day for a week and at least an hour at a time. So I finally drove into the store to talk to a person. That was disappointing to have no one answer the phone!!

In an email I received, I was told that I would have 24 hour access to my possessions. However, I arrived at the Lake Hallie location at 10:15 one night to find the doors locked and my access denied. I was moving my things from Eau Claire, so this was very inconvenient for me to have to drive back with all of my things and wait until the next day to unload. Upon further investigation, I did find the correct access hours online at the very bottom, but I am frustrated that the information online was inconsistent with information in the email.
