The gentleman who handled my installation today was very nice and professional. Everyone at this location is always great Actually today's installation was for the lighting and brake wiring harness. sarah tI'm being charged over $2,600 for a one way trip to Kingman with a sick van whose engine light came on just before arriving at Kingman Az from Mission Viejo, CA. A mechanic took charge in Kingman but never told me why the engine light came on. I assumed it must have had something bad happen because mechanic never replied. So, I had to arrange another way back home. Now I'm being charged over $2600 for a one way trip. How would you feel about that?
BONNIE SAfter hours pick up is a nightmare. U-Haul does not do anything to help expedite the service. You're literally standing there for about 30 to 45 minutes waiting for an approval process through your customer service department. Will not recommend this service or U-Haul going forward.

BOBBY PWhile the delivery and pick up U-Haul containers has been excellent. The communication with staff regarding fees and when I would be charged fees has been awful. I was consistently given inaccurate information that lead to multiple and significant instances of automatic payment of moving fees without my knowledge. Working with U-Haul made the financial aspect of my move exceedingly stressful and difficult. I recommend U-Haul overhaul the training of their coordination and distribution staff to provide accurate and consistent information to customers. Pick up and delivery staff were excellent, friendly and professional. In the future, I will NOT rent nor recommend using U-Haul containers again due to the communication inaccuracies. These errors included telling me I would be "charged the shipping fees of the containers at delivery; which was $5,100". Instead I was charged at pick up several weeks prior than expected in the middle of the night. Next, I was told that the fee for renting ALL of the containers for a month was a flat $109 TOTAL NOT $109 per container. That is a $327 difference. Additionally, I was told that I would not be charged anymore fees at pick up and I was charged an additional $436 at pick up. After calling U-Haul, I am getting the latter fees reversed but it takes 3 to 5 business days and I have other expenses I need to pay in the meantime. Again stressful, U-Haul is supposed to be making my move easier and more financially manageable the latter has been quite the opposite.

The drop off guy charged us $29 for gas even though we added gas Then she did $16 for insurance we didn't want Refund us $45 please

The first one wasn't able to pick up until 8:30 the customer service line was no help whatsoever and 20-30 minute wait. One of the workers was able to partially help me however the app is ridiculous and not helpful. Finally picked up the FIRST UHAUL by 8:38 moving onto the one that was supposed to be "available" at 8:15 it was not. The worker said if I needed help to come back at 9 am. During this time I have movers at my home that I am paying by the hour. I come back at 9:15ish line of 10 people, on the app it still does not let me pick up. I get on the phone with support once again 10-15minute hold time the representative says I have to wait in line that she can not help me. The guy sees me he is trying to help me but the uhaul that I initially rented apparently keys could not be found wanted to give me a 10" I said no due to it won't fit in the parking garage. He finally helps me and I leave about 9:30. I understand this is not on the workers however if Uhaul is going to promote self service 24/7 they need to make this easier. Moving is already stressful enough to waste someones time especially when we're paying workers. I was disappointed.

VICENTE HTruck was dirty and tank was only half full when given out. The steering wheel was all ripped up as well. I rented a truck a few days before it was much better than what I received the second time.

The storage options, including supplies, are plentiful and of good quality. I've been able to take advantage of having a unit free for the first month a few times, and I believe that offering a free month encourages new patrons.

After getting to the counter, was informed that my truck/reservation was not available, and that I had to go to Lake Forest. Only offered me a $50 rebate, which barely covered the Uber ride there. Also, the rate for the truck was a lot higher than average as well, but I was stuck.
Jeffrey HMy initial rental was unavailable, not due to U-Haul but because another customer did not return the equipment in a timely manner. No other rentals the size I wanted were available so U-Haul upgraded to a bigger rental at no additional charge and extended the amount of time I needed to use the rental. They went above and beyond to make sure my move was completed in a timely manner. Thank you, U-Haul for making a stressful moment much less stressful!

JORGE AThe gentleman helping me was not very friendly and did not let me know that I even needed to look at the truck and respond to a text about the appearance. When I got home I parked the truck and when I went to start it, it wouldn't turn over. Had to wait for a new battery. When I returned it the gentleman never told me the process so I waited in line inside for 15 minutes only to find out that I just needed to pull it up to the guy outside checking returns!! Customer service was much more helpful and kind.

JASON MI had a very bad experience with Uhaul Lake Forest CA 92630 location. On Sunday 8/11 I had booked for Uhaul 9' truck but since 9' truck was not available you have promised me free upgrade to 10' truck. I specifically asked about mileage rate and you confirm me that it will be same as $ 0.79 / Mile. I wen to this location around 11:45 on the 8/11 Sunday and person gave me 10' truck and I checked the mileage rate mentioned on the contract was 0.79 / mile (Contract # 94037634) . I I wen to check the truck and found the issue with the door lock and then the other person gave me different 10' truck. I was already getting late and hence I didn't double check the rate on the contract (Contract # was same) but the per mileage rate was noted there as $1.09 . Then when I returned the truck on the same day around 7:30 PM PST. The store was closed and hence I did mobile return. during that time as well, I have disagreed on the calculated charges. On the next day 8/12 I called the number which promised me the free upgrade. They mentioned that service ticket was raised and some one from the store will contact me within 72 hours. Today on 8/16, I haven't still got any phone and when I dialed that number again, I was given the same response that service ticket was raised and some one will contact me within 72 hours preferable within today. I request if some one sees this review please try to solve my issue at the earliest. Shrish Buradkar

John FThe gentleman at the desk would not honor the 1 month free I received when I moved in 3/29 for renting a trailer. The gentlemen who were there upon my move in was having issues with the computer system. They told me that they couldn't process my free month at that time but to just come back & tell them when I wanted to use my free month so I asked to use it for this month as I was moving out of the unit on 8/10. He said the promotion ended. I tried to explain the issue to him but he said he couldn't do anything about it. I then asked if he could refund me for the 21 days remaining for August & he said they don't allow refunds. I called main number to file a request for a refund. I awaiting a reply.

John TThe location itself was fine, but I had issues with the self-service pickup. The app and website weren't working correctly. I tried calling the 24/7 customer service and reached an agent, but was then transferred to another department for better assistance. I was on hold for 40 minutes, only for the call to be disconnected. It took me another hour to get in touch with an agent via chat. I had scheduled to pick up the U-Haul at 9:30 and took an Uber there, only to wait alone in the dark parking lot for a full hour before I could finally get the keys.

Other than that it was clean everybody's helpful. I feel safe because the pull and garage. The bathrooms are always spotless. The only other thing is the lights keep turning off, but I'm in the middle of putting stuff in the storage. I think they're on sensors but it's hard when you're in total dark and you're trying to find where the sensors at. But all in all it was great I would definitely recommend it to somebody else.
