There were just a few minor bits of damage on the truck that weren't documented at pickup that I noted during the pickup process (a dent at waste height in the trailer and a scratch in the paint on the trailer probably from a tree). Otherwise, it was clean and an easy process.Matthew T.
Lost Internet connection back up plan would be beneficial. Employees were extremely kind and helpful and the system being down was not their fault, but it was inconvenient for customers. Pick up took way longer than it should have, due to internet connection. Love the supply selection availability in store and seemed to have enough equipment to rent. It was difficult to find climate controlled storage near our home. We were so glad to find what we needed even though it was 35 miles from our new home building site. The staff were exceptional and the facility was very clean. We were so thankful for the moving carts that were provided. Our car was not hooked on the car Tow properly and we had all kinds of issues on the trip, It also caused us using more gas than should have. We finally got through to someone in North Carolina and they came out and has document everything. I believe that we should get a part refund for the hassle and issues, also on the outside of the Truck the number to call is actually a sex line!!! wow. When I got there there was a group of workers outside chatting and kicking the dirt. After they finally came inside, no apology for my wait. It's not like they were working, they were huddled together chatting. They're was lack of knowledge and life to these people, barely spoke and barely knew exactly what to do, the 3 of them huddled at the computer to to figure out things together. I used to come to this location frequently as I owned a moving company. When Kathy Bennett was the store manager, this location had life. She wouldn't leave you standing around, you never walked into this location and no one be inside. I have been to many U-Haul stores around the United States, and they were all the same. Dull and had no life. They workers would engage in conversation with you and laugh. I would go out of my way to come to this specific location because it was above all the rest of the U-Haul stores. Now they're all the same. Wish Kathy was back to liven up the place again.Brandon C.

While when I got storage their policy pro rated any amount you had if you didn't.need the storage. They then updated their policy where your fraud of money. Every place pro rates. I do believe for a Saturday morning they were understaffed. I arrived early for pick up there were 2 employees inside. Several people with reservations. Truck was ready had to get a hitch for truck trailer was not hooked up to truck yet. I was able to do what was needed. Teach them to listen and do the job they are hired to do. I told them I was taking the truck to Crossville Tennessee. I asked where do I turn it in when I get it unloaded. They showed me on the computer where to turn it in. When I got to the office to turn it in the papers were written up for local use.HANK T.

I know everyone is struggling with labor right now, but I had to wait in line twice for what I feel was the same order: once to pick up the truck and once to get the trailer attached after I had loaded the truck. I don't understand why all the paperwork couldn't be dealt with at once so that I could just get the trailer attached outside when I returned. With only one person behind the desk on a Saturday I was waiting in line for well over half an hour twice. If you go to this location, be prepared to wait since you never know how many people will be in front of you.James R.

The customer service and wait time was terrible. Literally was in line for almost 50 minutes. The checkout process he marked us lower on gasoline than where the needle looked for us This location really needs more employees. Not the best experience I've had here. My experience in trying schedule picking up and dropping off a uhaul online was wildly inconveniencing. When I would schedule a pickup and drop off time the email would confirm the time I selected. But when I go into my account to pick up a truck, the time changes to 15 minutes before the store closed. The time I scheduled to pick up and drop off the truck was always different from what actually showed up on my account. When I went to pick up my truck I had to go through customer support, reschedule and wait until the next morning to pick it up. Then when I went to drop it off at my selected location at the time I selected; which reflected in my email, was different than what showed up in my account. The drop off location was closed and I had no way to drop off a key. So I had to be redirected to another location, which was encumbering. I would not recommend using uhaul to anyone else who is trying to fit a tight schedule.Aidan W.

I rented an open car hauler trailer. Front passenager side tire hold down ratchet strap was almost worn into. Passenger side rear tandem tire only has 14 1/2 pounds in the tire when I picked it up. The right rear clearance marker light on the back of the trailer frame was burned out. The trailer pulled smooth and easy. My recommendation is to always check your tire pressure before you start your journey.Ronald F.

I was very impressed with all aspects of my rental experience. The customer service rep on the phone when I called in to make a reservation was professional and quick to get things done. She was also very pleasant. The gentlemen at the location were professional and I quickly got my truck and headed out. My only suggestion would be to make the receipt 'mailed by e-mail' work better. I have yet to get a receipt specific to my transaction, though I was able to go back through my online check-in record and locate the final updated charge to my credit card for my records. Overall this was an excellent experience. And the truck was super, too!John D.

Because of the construction at our uhaul location, we had to move one of our two units to another unit. Besides the inconvenience of having to be present to lock and unlock the unit, the process was quite painless. The movers remained in communication with me and took pictures after they were done. They were very courteous! My only complaint overall would be the lack of lighting. It's sufficient enough to see, but it was a challenge to see items when you're looking for something stacked at the bottom of a pile in a unit. I had to use my cell phone flashlight. A light for each unit is probably overkill, but having lights more appropriately placed would be helpful.Mandy M. | Overall Experience

The staff member I worked with was a huge help. I needed to upgrade to a larger unit before moving in and he did that with no issues. Walked me through everything including the security system, which I would not have figured out on my own. He even helped me get some of my larger furniture out of the truck and onto a dolly, which he did not have to do but it was a huge help. He went above and beyond. Local u haul mgr stated i have a $160 balance bc I wasn't moved out before the 13th. U haul at no time can force renew. I chose not to renew and I should have no balance. If u haul deems a late fee of $15 is necessary, I will pay it, but I do not owe $160. Mgr was rude, and she issued a no trespass order on myself when she was the one in the wrong. I left because I could save $71 a month on a same-size unit. So I moved my things to Affordable Family Storage, right next door. Also, the ceiling above my unit dumped lots of little dirt and what looked like plaster chips on top of my furniture. The facility outside of my unit was clean, but the ceiling above my unit was not in good repair and left debris on my things. It wasn't so much that I'd move, but it was annoying. Yet when I learned I could have a better roof and save big $$$ each month, I bolted. Finally, I was told at the beginning of my stay with U-Haul, that we pay a month ahead, so imagine how disappointed I was at the end to learn you would not refund me my unused days after just paying rent through October 27th. I call that theft. As long as I live in Lafayette, I cannot recommend your facility to anyone. I am fully aware that eventually the rates will go up at my new unit. But until that time, I am saving $852 a year over what you charged. Since I am on a fixed income, THAT is a LOT of money!Pamela G. | Overall Experience
