Rick MI returned it and he said I didn’t put gas in and I got charged $12 for gas and showed him a receipt for 10.75 of me putting gas in and he said I should of put $12 in to put it back where it was but shouldn’t of got charged for not putting gas in

NATASHA NI did purchase and mattress bag kit for over $20. It was definitely not worth the money - hard to put on the mattress and the handles ripped the minute we lifted the mattress. Did not need the box spring cover so wasted money there. All in all we got the move done and happy to be in my new home. A refund of the mattress cover kit would really be nice - since that was extra apart from the rental.
FAITH CThe access hours were not great, but as far as security is concerned, that is understandable. However the only reason I would NOT recommend U-Haul to anyone is the price. Too much $ for too little space.

NOLAN ROnly one staff person working on Sunday. There was a line of about a dozen customers returning or renting trucks and trailers. It took an hour to get to the counter and return the truck. More staff needs at this location. I would advise customers to avoid Sunday business at this location.
Michael STom was working alone and he was literally jogging to/from the parking lot to help customers. He did the best he possibly could and was very helpful and courteous.

Nathaniel NWe had the truck less than 24 hours but were charged for 2 days. I had to drop it off in the morning instead of night. If the policy is that next day (not matter how early) you will be charged a 2nd day- please make the employee explain that in advance
CARISSA JI would like to sincerely apologize to the GM Shelly at UHAUL in Lacrosse WI. I am still very interested in working with her on an agreement to receive my items from a different storage unit that I rented. I would love to negotiate a price to resolve this matter. The circumstances that lead to our issues with keeping up with the payments involved the tragic losses of three of our beloved girls, and their triple murders. We also have been traveling to Rochester for the criminal court process often. Sometimes, we needed to stay in the city for days depending on the court proceedings. There are precious items that belonged to my 23 yr old pregnant daughter Keona, and her adorable 23 month old baby girl Miyona, my granddaughter who was a blessing, and everything to her loving mom. They both were sadly murdered alongside each other in Rochester, M.N. Again, I am strongly interested in resolving this matter. Shelly, please give me a call at (608) 518-0461. Serena LMy story is kind of long but describes my poor experience with Uhaul. I was coming from 2 states away to pick up an auto I had just purchased with the intent of bringing it back home. The place I made the reservation routed me to another location about a mile away and changed the time on me which screwed up my entire scheduling with the seller. It was 1.5 hours difference. Picking up the trailer was fine and the place I picked it up was very helpful. Due to the specialty of this vehicle it did not fit on the transport and after several attempts we decided to abandon this path due to not wanting possible damage. I needed to contact a shipper instead. I tried to bring the carrier back to the where I picked up and they had already closed. I went to the original location, again about 1 mile away, and they took it back but because it wasn't the exact location I was still charged the full one-way fee even though I had only been 1 mile and they were the location I had originally made the reservation with. I don't blame the employees, it is the rules of the corporation. I was hoping to get some of my mo ey back since I instead ended up with not needing the one-way but due to it not being "the exact same location" I wasn't eligible. Bad customer service UHaul.

william AStaff was more than helpful, gave recommendations to donate boxes for the next mover and upon return the staff was friendly, and helpful with a suggestion to use a cart. All staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
LAURIE FWhy aren't these trucks returned with a full tank of gas? First thing I had to do was fill it up so I could take my trip. Ended up returning the truck with an extra quarter tank of gas. Hard to estimate how much to put it while in the middle of a trip.
TAMMY FDon't send random drop locations to customer if there isn't one chosen at pick up. This is not the most convenient location for me and was way out of my way for drop off. But that's not the locations fault.

DAWN CI drove 20 miles and came back. I would've gone 220 miles had the truck had cruise control. Also, I didn't appreciate the 75 mile an hour governor. A couple months ago I rented the pickup truck which had cruise control and no governor. No pick up truck available, so I took what they had, not knowing there was no cruise control. Very disappointing. I can't believe you make people drive across the country with trucks that don't have cruise control. Disgusting

JEFFREY Bwe dropped the uhaul off after hours, followed the instructions and deposited the paperwork and key in the box. The only thing that was an issue were the spiders - I have a severe fear of spiders, especially the ones that have webs all over the side of the building and are freaking huge. I completely understand this was dropped off after hours and had we been able to come inside and do the return paperwork, it wouldn't have been a problem at all. I also understand you can't do anything about the spiders that live out there that eat the nastier bugs. It just freaked me out, that's all. We just had the misfortune of having a very late drop off. Other than the spiders, it was super easy to do the return process on my phone and get everything checked off. I appreciate you being available in La Crosse for us to drop the Uhaul off. Gracias

TERESA LDrove the truck 5 miles from pickup location to destination. After loading equipment for 30 minutes the truck battery was dead. Was on a tight schedule to get to performance. Unacceptable to pickup a truck and have a dead battery 5 miles later. Had to jump it again when leaving the event. Left it running even when putting gas in it cause I couldn't trust it to start again

Steven D | First ImpressionsSo our unit 117 was next to a unit that the garage door had been damaged and completely opened to the outdoor environment. Not knowing any better first time storage unit renters, we still agreed to renting the unit. Only later did we realize that our belongings were being exposed to the outdoor environment because the unit next to us was completely exposed. I would definitely not recommend renting 117 out till you fix the door next to it. We were extremely concerned about our belongings and that is why we relocated to another storage unit company.

He was all alone on a Sunday moving day in a college town having to deal with many customers and was able to give high quality service to each customer. It was not his fault there is only one person working at a Uhaul in such a large city. I feel badly that Uhaul does not treat their employees well or pay them enough.

No place to park to load or unload as ALL the spaces in front of the storage space doors for walk-in storage are taken up by U-haul trucks or those boxes you take to leave on site somewhere. It's crowded and difficult to even get a car to move in there to get to the storage. It's a sh** show there to say the least. They are understaffed usually only two people there if you're lucky. This would be the last place I'd look and only if there was nothing else open.

There were vehicles parked in the alley that created a very narrow space that I had to drive through. My mirror brushed up against the storage facility and was scratched.

There was a lock still on my locker as shouldn't have been and the employee that was inside was sleeping I walked around the building and asked the guy that was pressure washing to help me which he did. My thought was this didn't make me feel safe or secure for my items in storage.

Mark C | Overall ExperienceThis is a facility that is more concerned about just making money than investing in their own facility to provide quality services. Every winter, ice piles up next to the doors (on the shady sides) in such a way that you cannot even access your storage unit. Their excuss? "We contract snow removal, sorry", But don't they walk the grounds and ensure proper upkeep by their contractors? NO! They don't take responsibility at all. They just wait for you to complain. And In the spring when the snow melts, it damages the doors and causes gaps that allow rodents inside. With this, rodents have access to the INDOOR storage units as well since they are located on the opposite side of the outdoor units. This whole facility needs a major investment in door repair, drainage, and proper snow/ice removal to be an upstanding storage facility. Right now it's just a roof over your stuff. And good luck getting access to it because they park Uhaul trucks all around the facility in such a way it's very difficult to even access your things. And try to get resolve? Good luck, they will just tell you to call corporate or file an insurance claim. So for those of you desperate storage seekers - If you don't mind mouse poop all over your stuff, and if you like the challenge of accessing your belongings through trucks, ice, and snow, and if you enjoy paying premium prices for VERY poor customer service, this is the place for you! If not, seek out other areas and RUN from this place!!! Very unethically managed to say the least. There is like, one worker there that was helpful and nice. Jerome or Jeremy maybe? IDK but he was the young black man that checked me out when I moved all my stuff out 9/18. Everyone else I dealt with could care less.

The only complaint I had is the first unit I still have was very icy on the day I needed access and I slipped a few times. Staff came out and salted when I let them know. Also, the slide lock is troublesome to slide. The 2nd unit I rented yesterday had a much easier slide lock. Door rolled up and down more smoothly as well at the second unit. It must be newer. Overall, I can highly recommend this Uhaul location!
