When I order 2 furniture dollys and an extra normal dolly I expect to at least get something. If not everything I asked for normally I'll manage but I had no dollys at all. Other than not getting what I paid for everything was fine.Zachary F.
This was the worst experience with U-Haul I have ever experienced, phone calls and emails everyday after I made the initial call had to go two and a half hours out of our way to pick up a U-Haul that was supposed to be 20 minutes from my house, however the last woman that I spoke to got it all worked out and the girl at the pickup location was excellent but it wasn't their fault. I will think twice about ever using U-Haul again but because it put us so far behind schedule cost me so much more in fuel.John S.

Great location, love the manager, she's great. Her work ethic and positivity caused me to apply for a career there. Unfortunately, it wasn't FT. I certainly love renting from here. I wish the miles were charged once the vehicle is dropped off. As a consumer, I believe that would be more â€œhonest/transparentâ€ of U-Haul, with a receipt of refund since I didn't use all the miles I requested. How about you improve the app!! I have a standard Android device, clean-installed the app and still had issues. Worked through the browser thankfully. Also, when starting my reservation, I don't recall anything about a $34.99 fuel surcharge, and I did not agree to pay for that having only driven 16 miles. If I was asked/told to replace the fuel in the truck I'd have done so. Even at $5/gal that's $10 in gas figuring I probably only get 8mpg... I WILL NOT USE YOUR RIP OFF SERVICES AGAIN SO LONG AS I CAN HELP IT if this is how it'll be.Nicholas S.

pickup was quick and easy; employees were friendly, professional, and prompt. trailer hookup took no time at all. store was well maintained and appropriately staffed. drop off was also a breeze. the inside of the 6x12ft trailer had some sort of grease on the floor, both near the entrance and near the back. after wiping it down, I had to cover the main area with duct tape so my personal belongings did not get dirty. FWIW, prior to me leaving the store with the trailer, the employee helping me did offer to mop up the floor of the trailer. I was on a time crunch so declined her help and took care of the spill myself, but having it clean prior to pickup would've been helpful.Timothy E.

The original girl that took care of me in the morning was very friendly and efficient in doing her job. The truck that was rented to me was a piece of junk. The tires had no traction and while driving it on the highway it was very shaky to the point of me returning it in the same day and continuing my move by using my own small trailer. When we arrived to return the truck I was a little short on the fuel level and the gentleman that came out to help was very rude about it and threw a number of 85 dollars that I he was going to have to charge me. After doing the math on what he was charging me vs the fuel level that the truck was short we knew the figure was wrong so we went inside to kindly try to reconcile the difference so I would Not have to drive that unstable truck again to the gas station and fuel it back to the original Level it was at. A rule for u haul Should Be that the truck should be rented out on full not some ridiculous level that is virtually impossible To bring it back at like we had to do. Immediately the guy that was checking us in got very rude when we went inside. we explained to him that we felt that the price he figured for fuel Was wrong so he said let me just put it in again and yea it was 20 dollars off just like we thought. We told Him how bad the truck was and he said â€œ all of our trucks are â€œ and I replied to him that with the money That haul charges they need to fix the trucks. I am very disappointed that I could not use the truck to finish my move because it inconvenienced me more than it was worth to rent from you to begin with. I hope you take this seriously for Future customers to be able To have a better experience. I rented the truck from Crete and the unit in Kankakee. The first unit didn’t have a lock inside and the manager said she puts them in there “when she gets to it.” The lock SHOULD have been there already, not when it’s convenient for the manager. When I arrived the open sign was on at the office, but they were closed. We had to figure out the keypads on our own. The people that answer when the manager has her calls forwarded can help with nothing when called, all they do is apologize. The managers number is listed as an “emergency contact” on the keypad, but it gets forwarded to the “I’m sorry” crew. Horrible customer service! We walked away from the first unit and had to rerent the truck. The next morning I call the location and that’s when I was told the lock is put there when convenient for her. She switched me to a different, larger unit that DIDNT HAVE 24 HOUR ACCESS. I found this out as I’m standing at the door at midnight with the people that helped me move the large furniture that was in the truck and am denied access to my unit, and when I call the emergency number I get the “I’m sorry” representatives. Now I have a truck full of heavy furniture that was supposed to be returned to the Crete location, that they had already booked out for another person the next morning at 10 AM, with no access to my unit and no way of getting my helpers back at 5 AM when they open. I am forced to carry over the truck into the next day, that messes up the next customers reservation, and I’m guessing by how helpful the customer service representative was (sarcasm) the email that she said she sent to the general manager probably didn’t explain this whole situation. I am trying to move three children and all of our belongings and had very limited time with the people that were helping me move. “I’m sorry“ is not what someone wants to hear when they’re standing outside of a storage unit that was supposed to be 24 hour access with a house full of their belongings at midnight. I will be calling the location in the morning, as well as the Crete location to explain again what happened and to sort out what the charges will be due, considering all the extra mileage and day added because of these mistakes on U-Haul‘s part.Katherine R. | Online Move In
