I was really disappointed with the way I was treated when I attempted to extend my rental after having it for only 24 hours. I was treated like I was a criminal because apparently someone else rented it on the day that I was to return it. It took me several hours of phone calls to Customer Service where a nasty woman in scheduling treated me with such disdain that I will never rent from Uhaul again. I tried to extend my rental online as your recording continually says that I can but no luck. Then I was thrown into queue after cue of being on hold for our after hour only to wind up with nasty woman in scheduling . In the end I was able to get the trailer back in time for the family that needed it however it stressed me beyond belief. Way to go Uhaul

I probably would have immediately required air if not just 10 miles round trip or might have requested a different van. Staff and service from team and your website pretty darn terrific

peter S.There were cigarette ashes in the ashtray of the truck. I understand the vehicle has 130,000 miles on it and is going to be a bit distressed, but smoking shouldn't even an option in these trucks. Ash trays should be removed or sealed closed to discourage this.

Gino P.Online (mobile phone) check in was not quick, license photos were repeatedly rejected, had to start over. Would've been better to explain all required steps ahead of time (photos of both license and passport, need to verify 4photos of truck condition, gas, mileage and that key lockbox would need to be found and decoded. Also, preordered equipment (blankets/appliance dolly) were NOT in the truck. I needed to go inside AND WAIT ON LINE, if I'd tried to do this after/before hours it wouldn't have worked. Additionally NO appliance dolly was available. Truck steering wheel was grimy, this should be cleaned.

Bo A.The staff was courteous and helpful suggesting that I reserve the truck a few days before the weekend to make sure it is available. When I called the 800 number later to reserve the truck, the customer rep was also courteous and helpful. The check-in app is very helpful suggested in the confirmation email is very helpful. I suggest that the confirmation email provide a short checklist of what to have ready to use the check-in app (e.g., photos of the driver's license, license number, etc.). As I did not know what to expect, using the check-in app became cumbersome and confusing. When I picked up the truck and inspected it, I saw that the "Change Oil" light was on. The location assured me that the oil was changed three weeks ago and that the sensor was bad. I trust that is the case, but having the "Change Oil" light on during a 200 mile trip was not reassuring (there was not another 15 foot truck available). After driving off, I noticed that it was difficult to see through the windshield. The windshield was dirty and the sun glare made it worse. I cleaned it myself at a gas station. It's a nice idea that, for an extra fee, an optional moving blanket and handtruck was zip-tied to the rear. But I would prefer that this option be presented at checkout for me to either accept or decline -- because those items were in our way when we loaded and unloaded the truck. And other boxes could not be stored in the space occupied by those items. So it wasted space.
Richard D.The storage unit that I used started to smell like mold and mothballs. I left several messages with management and they never called me back. I would like a credit of one or two months. I have used the storage facility for over 10 years and I've spent well over $25,000. I looked back and it was obviously a tremendous waste of my money. The contents of my storage unit was may be valued at about $1000, so paying 25 times that makes no sense.
