I will not be using uhaul in the future. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau as well. This has nothing to do with the Jericho location and everything to do with the uhaul front offices as a whole. My rental was cancelled and changed on me multiple times and made my move very challenging and more expensive than needed. I am asking for a 50% refund due to the fact that uhaul sent me to Jericho for a 10ft truck when they had a 15ft truck reserved for me in Elmont. The problem is that Uhaul told the Elmont location about this and NEVER NOTIFIED ME!!! I could have picked up a 15ft truck in Elmont at 10am and saved mileage instead of picking up a 10ft truck in Jericho at 6:45am! Due to the smaller truck, I had to make two trips instead of one. Completely unprofessional move on uhaul's part. I would like 50% of my money back. I feel that's the least that Uhaul can do considering all the changes that were made less than 24 hours before my rental, not informing me of the option to go to Elmont for the 15ft truck that I originally reserved, and then charging me twice as much as expected because of the 2nd trip due to the smaller truck. Also had to pick up at 6:45am instead of 10am, had to change plans with my movers and the location that I was moving out of and all of this could have been avoided if Uhaul front offices had representatives with even remote communication skills.

Some of the best customer services staff works at this Uhaul location. I am very pleased and happy by their services and their manners how they speak to the customers and take care of each and everything. The only drawback was the cargo area light I wish that Box truck Cargo area lights should be automatically on once the door/shutter open. Thank you for providing me 5 stars service.

Great service with friendly help! The only thing I can say is the inside windshield needed cleaning, but then again I'm fussy when it comes to clean windshields when driving into the sun! Overall 9/10

I booked a 21' truck but when I got there all the 21' trucks were reserved, so I had to take a 17' truck.

The first truck the mileage was 200 + off so I told them and they got me another truck and it was off 41 miles. After telling them this they came out and said they changed it. They did not and charged me the extra miles. I went back and they issued me a credit that never got to my card. Instead they double charged me. I got someone who never could get it right so i called my bank to dispute the charges. The truck was a disaster. had a noise when you made a tur and ran like crap.. Stay away from here try another site or another vendor.

My original reservation was for Levittown - since the person that rented the truck beforehand didn't check it back in properly I was unable to pick up my truck. It took Almost an hour to get a hold of someone and then I had to go to a totally different location- I lost almost 2 hours due to this. Thank goodness for Gil at customer service - he was able to salvage the situation and the Jericho location was good ( although had to wait 30 minutes before we got the truck) I ended up paying more for mileage, not to mention having people waiting to move furniture for 2 hours. Uhaul should do something to make up for my not being able to pick the truck I had reserved at the location as promised And the delay. Very stressful.

Forgot to give us the packing blankets we asked for. The truck was in terrible shape. Driver's door didn't close well unless you slammed it shut. Mirrors seems stuck and could not be adjusted. No one wore masks in the store. Truck was in terrible shape.

Upon returning the truck got charged an extra 25 dollars for cleaning. Truck was NOT dirty at all. Very disappointed.

The person who helped me with renting the trailer did not hook up the trailer correct. He did not secure the trailer to my car and I almost lost the trailer.

I got the truck with a 1/4 tank of gas, I put $20 of gas in it so it was just above 1/4, 1 put 36 miles on the truck and because of COVID did the rapid check out, when they emailed me the bill it said I returned it with 1/8 a tank and charged me $22.50... Come on U-Haul, you must be doing better than that with all the people moving out of New York.

I was being harassed by staff and told I was delinquent for holding my rental truck and equipment for an additional day. I was receiving calls from UHAUL at the Jericho, NY location hourly of my status and why I was taking so long and that people are in line waiting for a truck rental that I still had in my possession. Terrible experience.

My only gripe is that the website check in process was lackluster. Uploading a picture of my license and a picture of myself took multiple attempts. I eventually gave up and had a representative help me out but I wasted about 20 minutes trying to go through the process online. Luckily the rep was pleasant and handled the check-in quickly.

I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience at Jericho. I will try to keep this brief: 1. Long line of customers waiting. Long wait time. The customers in front of me walked away because there was not enough staff. 2. My vehicle, which I reserved, was not available. I had to take another vehicle, not what I wanted. 3. The reason my vehicle (a pickup) was not available is because the the staff was unable to open the lock box containing the key. So, this is an equipment malfunction that is costing you money. It is also easily fixed. 4. The problem with the lock box is the lock mechanism freezes up. I know this because there's a can of WD40 on top of the box, which the attendant used to try to open the box. THIS IS A SHORT TERM FIX TO A LONG TERM PROBLEM. YOU NEED TO REPLACE THAT BOX! 5. My whole experience took way too long. When I mentioned this to another staff person (not the guy who was helping me), he responded "It's not that long." Just absolutely the wrong reply. All he had to say was "Sorry. We're working on it." Instead, this kid (a teenager? Early 20's?) starts arguing with me. This is POOR TRAINING. 6. That broken lock box has a combo and a key. The staff knew the combo but couldn't open it. I asked where the key was. He told me "Only the manager has the key. And the manager is not here." Why on earth does the Manager take the key home when they know there's a problem with the box??? So, a horrible experience getting the vehicle. I did get a discount, so that made things better. I appreciated that. And I was able to get a van instead of the pickup, and that worked fine for me. I was not unhappy about that. But there was a lot of time wasted, and I was late all day because I literally spent almost 40 minutes at your location.

Sunshade wan't there, I had a hard time driving, i didn't had a time to go back and waste time, I was driving with difficulty and slow. I lost one good job . While returning I discussed with rep, they were not friendly. I ask don't you check before giving a key- NO RESPONSE. But Location is good.

Fuel guage was something wrong. Staff told me fuel guage indicate 5/8 and when i tarted guage dropped almost half. After driven 47 miles. Added 5 gallon fuel amd return. Lady staff charged mote money and i accept over 2 mile add extra cost. But charged fuel cost. It means car consumed below 10 mile/gallon efficiency. And she didn't explain added fuel cost when checked after return. Her service is suck and very upset after check my email.

Rented truck to go from NYC to long island. When I checked in the person helping me out pulled the truck out of its parking spot. It was the most dilapidated banged up thing I have ever seen. I had to do what I needed to do so against my better judgment I took it anyway. Needless to say I broke down luckily after I had unloaded so I was able to call a friend to catch a ride home. Called u haul roadside assistance which was several hrs of being on hold. Once it was handed off to Hendrickson everything was excellent. I can't imagine how they can send somebody down the road in something in such condition. The rear axle had very obviously been worked on many times before the inside of both rear wheels were soaked with oil and of course the rear end is what blew and left me stranded. All I can say is I'm glad I wasn't on a long trip somewhere in the middle of the night out of reach of cell service. I have rented from u haul many times before and never had a problem but this was truly ridiculous

I was very disappointed first able with customer representative very poor customer service skills not friendly at all, I was very concerned because I soon a came in I had my facemask on but the representative didn't so very worried about U-Haul following the COVID-19 CDC rules! Very disappointed with this location I really wish I would go to another truck rental provider. It would be really appreciated if I can get contacted by someone in yhe high end of U-Haul.

I was overcharged . I rented a trailer the day before I returned trailer just before closing following day I was charged double rental fee and insurance I rented the truck just before 5 pm on Wed eve I returned it 650 pm on Thursday I was charged and extra day and insurance how can I be charged an extra day and another day of insurance when I returned the trailer. Not very good professional practice. I rent from this location many times.

Went website and reserved a 15' foot truck to move my son and even called location to confirm. Arrived location to use touch less and a 9' foot van was assigned to me. Had to wait online at location for 30 minutes to be told oops sorry that's all we have!!

I just wish the person checking me in would have put my correct address in. I corrected him when he put the wrong address in and he said "it doesn't matter." Well the print out had the incorrect address on it and I imagine it does matter. So I corrected it myself on my online profile.
