The workers need training because I went there to rent a truck and the person told me that there was none available. Then I went back to my car rented one of the vans online and the woman in the store still refused to give me the van. If it wasn't for the other worker that intervened and actually came to assist me I would not be able to take the van.Ernani D.
Customer service rep was great but the 10' van I rented was covered in dog hair. When I got home and open the back back of the van it smelled like somebody used it to moved a dead body. Tried call the location but the wait time was too long so I hang up.Nickel B.

The staff in this location were very friendly and helpful. They delivered the 15' truck at 7am just as promised. It was clean and ready to go. I was given test reminders days in advance, which was also appreciated. The van I rented was well maintained, except the a/c was not working and the 'Oil Change' message was on. Neither of these items had an impact on my experience, however, they need to be addressed with this specific van.Christina B.

Over estimated miles to be safe. Used over 100 less miles than anticipated. Price went UP 50 dollars. Still not sure why it went up when I used less miles. Definitely will not use the vehicle services again.Taffy W.

It was impossible to reach the pickup location by phone. I was never able to make direct contact, even trying 5 times in one day. Very frustrating. My handyman, who was doing the packing and shipping, had to make a personal trip there to confirm the arrangements and the timing of the pickup availability. Also, things changed daily, so it was important to be able to reach someone, and the lack of direct communication impeded the process substantially.Judith K.

Very unhappy with the return process. I had reserved a truck to return it in Orleans MA. When I called to get the exact location, I was informed that I had to drive another 40 minutes to Hyannis. Really inconvenient. Had I known in advance I would not have rented with you.JUAN G.

The truck I rented was very tired. I had over 144,000 miles. The front end /steering was very loose and round trip of my 270 miles without incident. The transmission was extremely noisy when it shifted.Lawrence G.

A better check out process. Many customers were frantic in figuring out how to return vehicles and who to discuss with. There was also an in-uniformed employee who was less than useless.Henry G.
It was convenient, I only had to go into the store once to pick up the truck, I would recommend they change the sign for dropping off the vehicle. I would also add a feature on the website that allows you to check in for drop off so the employee know your there, to make it more contactlessPATRICIA H.

Drop-off was easy (same day as I rented, not the 2-day I was required to do...). The gentleman in the lot seemed very helpful; he instructed me where to enter the caged-in lot & park & drop the trailer, relayed info to the people indoors, told me I'd get my receipt by e-mail, and that I was free to leave. I got a call several days later, and was asked whether I had returned the trailer, and thought that any "confusion" appeared to be resolved. Unfortunately when I still did not receive my receipt, it took MULTIPLE calls and several hours of my time to eventually get sent me my receipt. Very painful!!Roger G.

I wish they would just answer the phone. Once this covid thing is over, the businesses that do best will be the ones that provide excellent customer service - such as a simple thing like answering the phone. It is very frustrating to have to get in the car and drive to the business location, and stand in line, just to ask a question. I will be doing business with the company who answers the phone, even if the product costs more. Back to the basics of good customer service. No excuses!Ellen O.

2 suggestions: 1) do not false advertise: "6 blankets for $5" - it is PER DAY and 4 times was NEVER said that way!! 2) so many trips are taken on highways with EZ-PASS tolls nowadays; you should install transponders in all your trucks so that the toll charge is not so big! You always know who had the truck during which days, so there is no downside for you.Wynn A.
Please make it protocol to have your agents contact your U-Haul customers to provide status of the U-Box deliveries. My U-Box was placed in New Bedford, MA for two weeks w/o a call. The box belonged in Hyannis, MA. I have been overcharged for the service provided. Does anyone pick up the phone at 1-800-GO-UHAUL?Erin G.

Where to drop off the vehicle and the key drop box. I was reserved for a 12pm pick up and was charged 400$. Thank god the person At Hanson had a idea of what was going on. Why was I told 200$ and charged 400 ?!ANDREW W.
had made a reservation for 20' truck 2 weeks prior to rental and when I went to pickup my rental I was told they didn't have one and offered a 15" instead, which was much too small causing me to have to make 2 addition trips to complete my move. The equipment was not in good condition mechanically, had a blown turbo, no dash lights and fuel gauge was inoperable. I will be hard pressed to use U-Haul again. Very disappointing..Ross A.

Person waiting on us was not friendly at all. He forgot to tell us where to pick up the furniture pads (we assumed they were in the trailer) and drove all the way to Eastham and discovered that we didn't have the pads and had to drive back to Hyannis to get them. When explained to him that he didn't tell us we needed to get the pads he said "Oh I forgot" and no apologies offered. Asked about getting our money back for the pads he said we'd have to check with the Uhaul in Scranton where we returned the trailer on getting our money back.Carl H.

Thomas and his team are all very helpful and accommodating. Moves are stressful and I had some challenges with the moving truck itself. The staff were all very helpful and went out of their way to help me find a storage solution while I await truck repairs. I was expecting to have the situation to be a conflict but I was pleasantly surprised with how willing Thomas was to helping solve the situation with the needed truck repairs. We have rented from U-Haul for many years in the past (15+ years). This time was difficult due to availability (not U-Haul's fault). However, I want to point out the description for what fits in a 5 x 10 x 8 outside storage is definitely inaccurate and I caution others. The description lists items that will fit but leave out there is no room for anything else! Did not have a first-floor unit available for storage as I was told previously. what I showed up at the facility they had a hard time finding a room for me to use get it ended up being call the second floor which is very inconvenient for the going up the stairs because I was moving by myself.the whole plan was just to back up the truck into the unit and unload but that wasn't the case.. the staff laid it on the computer. The unit was WAY smaller than the CS rep said it was. I was told it could fit a 4 Room house inside it, it was a closet. When i got to the unit there had been clear damage to the front door. The handle was completely rusted and i was (and still am) unable to access the unit. There was also a giant dead Hawk lying right next to the unit. When i called to find an alternative unit nothing was available. I had to find storage with another company.
