The uhaul corporate reservation process is terrible and I would not rent from uhaul again if any other company had the kind of truck at short notice I was looking for. It feels like a scam when you have to drive to another town to pick up a rental that is charged by the mile when there is a pickup location near your house. But the staff at this location couldn't have done any more to make My experience as good as it could be. A waiting area would be nice as I (for circumstances beyond the staff's control) needed to wait for several hours past my scheduled pickup time for a certain type of truck (which never was returned by the previous renters).Austin B.

No one help us. Walk in to find someone, was told to just leave the keys on the sit and go. Someone would take care of it. I was also charged extra for mileage, and all we did was go from point A to B. Didn't go any where extra.Dawn D.

Just rudeâ€¦ is that a requirement at Uhaul? Because most of the interactions at Uhaul are very preachy instead of customer service oriented. The clerk went on and on about terrible policies that were not even applicable to my situation.Jacob K.

I understand that just about every retail establishment is experiencing difficulty in maintaining staff. This was very obvious when I picked up my trailer because I couldn't find a human in the office where one would go to pick up the item that you had reserved. After waiting a while walking out looking around in the area where you drop off rented material still didn't see anyone went back inside and the young man did finally come. He apologized he was pleasant he was efficient he hooked my trailer up very well I wasn't at all concerned about his ability to do his job. So once I got waited on everything was fine. When I arrange the rental with through the 800 number the gentleman was absolutely wonderful excellent service great communication skills got me everything I needed and when everything was done I actually asked to have him connect me with his supervisor or customer service manager because I wanted to make sure he was appreciated for how he had taken care of me so that was excellent.patricia P.
When I picked up the reserved trailer, it took an hour to get through the line at the counter. When I returned the trailer it was one hour and 46 minutes beyond the scheduled drop time. I was charged an additional full day which does not feel right to me. If I was charged a prorated fee of 2 hours, that would have been acceptable, a full day charge was not fair as I was stuck in traffic and lost an hour picking the trailer up!Daniel D.

Customer service is great. I had to transfer my items from a ten foot I-haul truck to a u-haul trailer and the manager set it up to make the transfer easy and efficient. I also had to change the size of the trailer twice and the associate in the office was very accommodating.FRANK B.

The Hyannis drop off location was fantastic in helping me troubleshoot the overcharge from the pick up location. The employee I dealt with in Hyannis saw that I was overcharged the quoted rate and took the time to explain to me how to request a customer action file with UHAUL to receive a refund for the overcharge. All U-Haul employees need to learn about what it means to give excellent customer service. I have witnessed foul language on several locations, they talk amongst themselves at the counter without making eye contact with the customer, they need to be less chatty amongst themselves and they get in conversation that doesn't have anything to do with work, which makes the check in process so much longer. They seem and often act rude like they don't want to be there, maybe that's why there is so much turn over. I am spending $12,000 to buy my own trailer so I never have to deal with this crap again! The app sucks. I couldn't load my photos to get started. There were no instructions to zoom in on the license photo and there is poor mobile reception in that area, so it was taking forever. I went to wait in line and after 5 minutes, the first photo was only 26% loaded. The app is a fail.Mark S.

Making a reservation is the way to go!! If I hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten the truck size I wanted, It's super easy and all online. I have had consistently excellent experiences with the personnel and equipment for my rental requirements on Cape Cod and other locations. The online reservation process is easy and makes sure you get the equipment you want. The checking in/out process was fast and painless. The equipment was clean and new.Janet C.

The man working the front desk at this Uhaul location didn't even look up at me when I came to drop off the truck and asked â€œWhat do you wantâ€. It was the rudest interaction I've ever had with someone at any place of business. I'll never go back.Will R.
Very convenient location. I filled out all the preregistration including downloading my drivers license and credit card online to save time at checkin. I was still asked for both at checkin and had to wait in line for 12 minutes. Not sure what the use of preregistering on line was when I was asked again for the documents at check-in.Jonathan S.

I will never use Uhaul again. I reserved a storage unit 7 weeks in advance. I got emails confirming it. I called to get a second unit and they confirmed my original reservation and said they could give me a second unit no problem. I arrived at the storage facility and was told they had no units and that â€œreservations are never guaranteed until you get here and give a payment method.â€ I would, of course, paid in advance had I known this was needed to secure the unit. This policy is insane and needlessly stressful. I moved in spite of UHaul, not because of it. I would so gladly (and plan to) pay a premium to a moving company to never have to deal with this company again.Emily A.

Because the store was busy the day I was returning the truck, the representative there just told me to â€œleave the keys on the seat and we'll check you in shortlyâ€. Unfortunately what resulted is that I was charged for an extra day all because the rep didn't want to deal with checking me in right then and thereâ€¦ and I didn't know if this charge until a short time later (after already leaving the area) when I received a final receipt by email. I have submitted an email requesting a refund for the extra day charge and expect that to be fulfilled.Mark D.

The pick up and drop off location is pretty close to the entrance which makes it hard to pull in when people drop off after hours. There should be a separate area for that to make it easier for customers to come inNelson S.

The mobile drop off feature is very flawed. The location settings never work and there were several QR barcodes all over the drop box but only one small barcode that is used to do the location specific drop off. This needs to be simplified.Mike S.

the left hand does not know what the right was doing. thankfully I was able to login the website and correct the issues of the location myself. The crew member the night before was supposed to register my wife for picking up the truck. The lady the next day saw nothing of what he did. Furthermore she was asking me to drive 46 minutes out of my way to pickup the truck which I already cleared the night before for my wife. Fix the Hyannis location's training so that when requested all staff can do it right the first time., Secondly this location never picks up the phone. THIS transaction was stellar. However my previous experience was not. Trailer hitch was not available at time of appt and no one told me until I arrived. Rescheduled. 2nd appt had to wait 30 minutes to be waited on, even though there was only one customer ahead of me. Was told it would be 2 hours to install but it took 4. Your staff and management are awful. I was miss lead or lied to several times with no remorse. The locks are all busted up the staff have no clue how to look up stuff on the computer. I was told I would get an extension on the truck and still brought it back that day to see I was still charged that extra day. How can you stit there and tell me you see it was extended just to go back and charge me. Thomas and his team are all very helpful and accommodating. Moves are stressful and I had some challenges with the moving truck itself. The staff were all very helpful and went out of their way to help me find a storage solution while I await truck repairs. I was expecting to have the situation to be a conflict but I was pleasantly surprised with how willing Thomas was to helping solve the situation with the needed truck repairs. We have rented from U-Haul for many years in the past (15+ years). This time was difficult due to availability (not U-Haul's fault). However, I want to point out the description for what fits in a 5 x 10 x 8 outside storage is definitely inaccurate and I caution others. The description lists items that will fit but leave out there is no room for anything else! Did not have a first-floor unit available for storage as I was told previously. what I showed up at the facility they had a hard time finding a room for me to use get it ended up being call the second floor which is very inconvenient for the going up the stairs because I was moving by myself.the whole plan was just to back up the truck into the unit and unload but that wasn't the case.. the staff laid it on the computer. The unit was WAY smaller than the CS rep said it was. I was told it could fit a 4 Room house inside it, it was a closet. When i got to the unit there had been clear damage to the front door. The handle was completely rusted and i was (and still am) unable to access the unit. There was also a giant dead Hawk lying right next to the unit. When i called to find an alternative unit nothing was available. I had to find storage with another company.
