Great place to store and rent

Manager with a beard has a personality problem not friendly at all. He acts like it's a problem to rent something. Other employees are very nice.

I was charged extra $8 for 2 miles when I returned the truck although I fueled exactly at the half tank as I was told. Very upsettng!

Return of truck should be simple, but this location not helpful and made return unclear.

The truck given to me was completely unsafe. There was so much body damage I had to take several pictures to document so I wouldn't be charged. The headlights were not even attached and kept falling out of position, couldn't see the lines on the road at night. Couldn't crank the window down because the crank was damaged. They left me barely any gas to get to a gas station to fill it!!!!! I will never rent for Uhaul again!! The worst experience I've ever had!!!!

Fast return.

Very pleased. Very impressed. The process was smooth and easy. Staff was very helpful especially Darryl. Better than expected.

After I made a reservation for a pick up location with a specific size truck and received a confirmation phone call the next day, Two days later I received another phone that I was getting a different truck and a different location. While they gave me extra miles on the truck, this didn't help at all. I had to drive through traffic, paying tolls and extra gas with delays. The larger truck cost more to operate during travels and they never offered any form of discount to compensate me. They gave me a truck with almost a 1/4 tank of fuel. When I returned it it had a half tank of fuel, again no compensation or refund. You should start with a full tank and return it with a full tank. The entire trip cost me between 75-100 more than planned with extra gas, time and more travel ti pick up a DIFFERENT truck. I won't recommend U-Haul or be back.

Customer parking needs expansion

A good one stop shop for all moving need. There is supply here in store that can be purchased. Truck rental for pick up, and storage facility, except no climate control for the unit.

The service and the staff is great here. Communication is great. Office hours seven days a week, and convenient access hours. Truck/van rental is a breeze. Just a well-run facility.

I CAN ONLY SAY THAT DARREN WAS UNREAL.VERY KIND , THOROUGH .thoughtful & HELPFUL...EXPLAINED EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF THE PROCESS FROM STEP 1 OF THE PICK-UP TO THE FINAL DROP-OFF ( RETURN ) OF THE VEHICLE....U-HAUL SHOULD BE VERY PROUD TO HAVE HIM EMPLOYED AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR COMPANY.

Great service at this location! Second time coming back, I just wish uhaul didn't charge so much for milage in town rental truck. Other than that, always have used uhaul for all my moving needs!

Left messages back during the sprinkler install about moving to larger unite and about when i would have needed to move stuff out of the way and never got a call back also during repainting of the door had left a message about the door hinges on how hard door opened and after paint san d blasting the whole inside was covered in red and then came to access my locker the lock wouldn't work you had replaced it with a lesser heavy duty lock because once i got the keys from the person at the desk that had no idea why but they were hanging somewhere in back garage once i opened everything inside had been moved and stacked to install the sprinkler head better communication would have been nice ended up moving to larger unite for the same money your larger unite was much higher sorry but thanks

Dealing with General Manager Tyler Dewis was a nice, comfortable experience. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and efficient.

Rental was made by my sister. She said they gave it to her for two(2) days. I said why. When I asked at the rental location why would I need it for two(2) days when I was only traveling 180 miles. I made it to my destination in less than four(4) hours. I received the trailer around 7pm and returned it before 11:30 am the next day and paid $223 for a 16 hour rental.

My issue/ concern was I made an appointment to pick up equipment at1 location it was booked and confirmed. Then I get a call saying that location didn't have what I needed and I had to go to another location that's 10 miles AWAY. That really was inconvenience for me as a result I got charged for 2 days because I had to get equipment earlier than I needed it because of location.

They had me on E alert.. The person take care of me did not help me at all I feel he was kind of rude and inconsiderate after being on hold for 40 minutes to get a hold of U-Haul and finally getting through I found outIt was your fault not mine I do not understand why you cannot have told me this when I rented the vehicle barely comprehend how bunch of crap this was

The GM Tyler Dewis was rude, obviously promoted due to tenure not ability , he showed a strong dislike to assist me unless paid extra ; It was obvious he'd rather be anywhere but at work .Darin on the other hand , the assistant was pleasant, personable and helpful - THAT'S the person who should be running the HE location ! He sincerely cares about customers , he will bring in more business with his professional “ can do” attitude.

I checked the around the vehicle and inside. Opening the door looking in it appeared very clean. However when the ramp was pulled down and we went past the lip we started sliding and barely kept our footing. There was a thin layer of something slick over the floor of the bed. We only had a few pieces of furniture to move so rather than returning for another truck we completed the move and I returned the truck advising the employee what had happened. Now I've rented trucks from Uhaul over the years and this is the first time I had this experience. I look at it as a one time basis and would rent from Uhaul again

I told the Uhaul agent that the rental was being completed to pick up a G20 van. When I got to the pickup site the rental equipment was not even the correct length to haul the vehicle.

The keys for the vehicle we were supposed to rent could not be found. They put us in another, smaller truck and made concessions. The employees handled it very well!

Make sure everything ordered is given to the customer. Such as blankets. When people are waiting for service, let them know how long it will be before you can get to them.

Much better than last experience where the equipment I reserved wasn't available and they did not honor the 50 dollar offer

Although the vehicle was for the most part clean, the dashboard was dusty. Before I returned it I wiped everything down with amor-all wipes. I always return things in the same or better condition that I rented them. Staff was great. Will definitely use again! Thanks!

Wash out the equipment thoroughly before rewriting it again. The floor was smeared in mud.

Associates that helped us were so quick and knowledgeable! Pick up and drop off were very easy thanks to them!

Keep continue good service make customer happy

I left an item on the truck when returning it. I called stat after returning home to ask the staff to look for it. I gave up after waiting on hold for 30 minutes...Then had to drive out of state. I now do not have the handle to extend footrest on my recliner. 😣

I can't think of anything. Your employees were professional and processed my rental efficiently. I will use your Hoffman Estates location next time I need a vehicle.

No one told me that there was a service fee for dropping off the vehicle after hours. Customers should be verbally reminded of this at the time of purchase!

The truck I got was a bit old and already has a lot of rust in it.. Had an unusual smell too in the beginning..

Its bogus that I spend $20 on gas and return the truck at the exact same tank level as when I picked it up and yet I still get charged $30 on top because apparently I have to put more gas in than what I use. Doesn't seem very honest

Access to storage area is a little tight to get into and there is very limited parking area in front of building. You must stop in the street while you go in to request the gate be opened.

Trailer floor was so sticky from someone spilling something on it. I had to give it a good scrubbing to get it clean enough for us to use it. Customer service reps were quick and efficient.

Was not happy with my rental. The wheels on the furniture dolly were not working correctly. I couldn't even use it. When I went back to the location to return it, I told the 2 gentleman that was working that it was defective and they didn't even offer me a credit or anything. They told me to just leave it on the ground and they would email me my receipt. I thought they should of offered me a credit for this issue. I will NEVER do business with this location again.

Travis L & Tyler D. we're very helpful and knowledgeable with the equipment and my rental.

Travis and Trevor have horrible customer services. Travis is a loud mouth that feels it's his mission to put customers in their place. Trevor has few skills at being a manager, handling conflict resolution, or even basic customer service. I will not continue renting a storage unit there or rental trucks if either of these 2 individuals work their. The owner really needs to be advised.

The manger and Travis were rude, condescending, and lacked customer service skills. Travis also appears to manipulate inventories because he does not give the correct items purchased, then says that's ok I can adjust that in the system. Also Travis shorted me 2 boxes because he can't count.

Everything was perfect until move out date when I believe a mid sized creature peed all over my blanket that i had covering my glass. It had to be a bigger animal since the amount of pee that was on the blanket was no small creature. Thankfully that was the only thing damaged but the whole unit did smell terrible as we opened it up.

It would have been excellent except you let some installation person steal my belongings.

Was overall happy with experience. Only negative was checkout. I went through process with desk clerk - checked unit was empty and returned key but he never recorded. Finally resolved after being billed.

I worked with Rebecca and she was amazing!..super helpful, very kind and very respectful of the social distancing..I would highly recommend using this facility..thank you Rebecca!

I have rented trucks & trailers in addition to this storage unit over the years. The staff has always been very helpful and the facilities clean.

The entire staff was so kind and helpful at any question or request I had. I highly recommend this facility for truck rentals and storage units.

There are not enough characters for me to explain why I will not be recommending your facility that my whole family used until now. If you really cared, you wouldn't put a limit on what I could say.

Lightning in my unit was broken Attempts to have the light fixed or unsuccessful Staff. maintenance did not care They had gotten sand blasting dust all over my car and all over the stuff in my storag

No response from manager Tyler Dewis when trying to cancel my account month after month due to his negligence of not keeping the facility up to fire code (Ex. Sprinkler system needed updating).

One time I saw kids walking through the secured area.

Didn't respond to many emails about sprinkler installation. I called/updated notes about my unit then went there and no notes in system. Opened locker everything covered with sand blast reside.

We stored our cabinets and other household items in a 6’x10’ and everything got extremely dirty/dusty with a dark gray dust. They were painting the outside of the units, but very dirty.

I always use this U-Haul location for all of my moving needs. The Manager and Staff are always very alternative, knowledgeable, and helpful!

Truck rental was fast and easy. Move went smoothly without any complications.

I had this unit for a year and my light Never worked! I complained for 6 months and kept getting the run around. The manager was always "on lunch" My furniture was covered in mold due to leaky unit!

The unit was/is very clean and I felt safe putting my personal belongings there.

Staff was great. Place was well lit and secure.

First unit we had leaked, some things got wet. We moved everything to a different unit. The snow plows knocked down the fencing, so, no it was not secure for many weeks.

The place was fine. However, in order to pass through the entrance gate, one must exit one's vehicle (to get to the keypad). That is inconvenient.

Encountered a computer "glitch" when moving in that resulted in a billing issue. Staff helped resolve it quickly and without fuss. Facility was clean and regularly maintained.
