The ladies that helped me were great. BUT the reason I went to the Hammond store is because I had to get my reservation transferred from the HOLDEN, LA location. DO NOT USE THE HOLDEN LOCATION. I made an online reservation to pick up a trailer there because they had the size I needed. I showed up a couple minutes early and the location was locked. I called the phone number on the door and left a message and still have not received a call back after 3 days. After waiting 35 minutes past the appointment time I called the U-Haul 800 number and a very helpful lady switched my reservation to the Hammond location. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION AT THE HOLDEN, LA LOCATION!!!

Waited outside in the pull up where it says to sit and wait. A friend that was with me to pick me up. Girl was not happy to be working. I will leave it at that. Because I know nothing will change. The guy cleaning the u haul was in a great mood . Looks like he should be the one running the place.

Have parts available for dates when appointment is scheduled for and have personnel available to do the installation at the scheduled time. Had to wait over 3 hours beyond scheduled appointment time for work to begin on my car.

i just finished renting a 15 ft van from yall and not only was the woman at the desk extremely rude with a horrible attitude, she was also bad at helping me by explaining herself. I used the van for a couple hours to go to Lowes and buy some metal roofing that wont fit in my car. While I was using the van I realized there were some ants in the van but since all I put in it was metal I assumed the ants have been in the back  before I got the truck. when i returned it she said i had to pay 25 dollars as a cleaning fee because of the ants. When I asked her about it she rolled her eyes at me and just walked off. I was never rude to this woman and only spoke with respect. it's not even about the 25 dollars. it's about her attitude and disrespect. I believe her name is (D leisa m) because that is what's on my paperwork. I doubt this  complaint will do anything but just in case it does I'm bothering to take the time to report it. If you can please help me or forward this to the right department I would really appreciate it. thank you

We were short 6 blankets and the movers you use were very slow. They were taking pictures and on the phone setting up other appointments. They only moved our bedroom set ( king size bed, dresser, chest drawer and 2 nightstands. A queen bed and dresser no night stands. A elipticle. Washer and dryer. We broke all the beds down and remover mirrors on both dresser and took apart tge elypitical and it still took them four hours to do. It was awful. The storage unit was only a few miles away.

Better communication and appointment was set for 7:00, and then changed to 9:00. Then received a phone call to delay until later due to personal reasons. I still waited for another 2 hours. Need to work on service in a timely manner

Trailer needs to be taken out of service and repaired. Check-in process is horrible, renter goes through process twice. Online all information is input, then once in the store required to repeat the process. It took 25 minutes to get paperwork done, which is taken out of my 6 hour rental time.

I had nothing but problems with my reservation, from it being changed to being canceled to finally corrected 12 hours before I had to leave, and mind you this I made my reservation mo day at 9am and my reservation was for Saturday at 7am. Poor service from the site locations good phone customer service, the people that have these locations don't care about customer they leave you on hold till the line disconnects or just say there is nothing they can do, not because there isn't anything they can do it's because they don't want to do anything and don't care about customers. This whole experience was not worth the time and money I spent.

The equipment I reserved was not there. The associate told me because I was late, someone came in and rented what I served, I was not contacted by anyone. This inconvenienced me greatly. After going back and forth with the associate about other options I noticed a trailer that resembled what I needed, she said someone has it reserved and CALLED, that person, something I didn’t get. That customer instead got an upgrade, and a discount ,I got a down grade, and no discount. When asked about a discount got myself,I was told, well you were late, and to call in on Monday about a discount. I will never ever rent again!

Installation was quick and service was good EXCEPT no one explained to me that the wiring they use is a 4 pin connection (I found out afterwards that I needed a 7 pin connection… called U-Haul to find out they don’t install 7 pin and I will have to find someone who can sell me an adapter. Inconvenient but thankfully I have found someone who can sell me an adapter!

When I returned my equipment, I was asked to pull out the pictures I had taken of the damaged when I had submitted it when I had picked up the equipment. Also the lady behind the counter what’s very rude when she asked me for my return papers while she was with a costumer already, knowing well that someone else had already asked me. I feel like she was being rude to her costumer by rudely asking me while she was handling someone already.

My contract was not done correctly. Ended up having to drive over 2 hours out of the way to drop the equipment off due to an employees error. No managers were available and other employees acted as if there was nothing they could do. Tried to drop at another location and the lady working there was extremely hostile and rude (14744 Tiger Bend Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70817). We will take our business elsewhere.

This location overall is terrible. If you call between 7am & 8am someone will answer the phone & help you but after that time they place you on hold & never come back to assist you. However with that being said the gentleman who installs the hitches at this location is PHENOMENAL! I am kicking myself for not getting his name to make sure he gets proper recognition. Due to no one coming back to the phone when calling I used the 1-800 number to book my hitch installation appointment. I didn’t realize that no one from the location ever confirmed my appointment with me so I showed up at 7am for my 7:15am appointment & the gentleman informed me that he didn’t do appointments that early because he was the employee present but if I stuck around he’d make sure I got my installation done & stay late if he had to because of other appointments booked due to the clerical errors. This man needs a raise & promotion!

The store representative here added on an additional day at no extra charge (waived the 40$ fee) - although another pick up location we were at told me it was 14$ plus the 15$ Safemove. However she did not explain the mileage issue and we are unsatisfied with the arrangements and the 118.75 additional mileage charge- it is under dispute resolution.

Agent was very friendly and helpful. After she had pulled the truck around, I was about to drive off when a family member that had driven me there asked if the blankets were in the truck. I assumed they were but when checking they were not there. I returned to the office to another agent who just pointed over by the door and indicated I just take them myself. I assumed when they were ordered with the truck they would already be loaded, it would have been very disappointing if I had got to my loading location and not had any blankets.

Personal vehicle was damaged, they broke the lock off the uhaul truck and went threw my belongings and things went missing, they put other cards on record without permission. The lock on the unit was cut through and the unit been gone through. Worst experience ever at the hammond location.

Truly terrible customer service. Manager Afton and district manager (?) Debra seem proud of how awful the customer service and communication with customers is. Shady practices and a general lack of transparency cause problems for customers which management refuses to solve and blames the customer. Look at the Google reviews for this place. If the majority of customers are having a problem, it is probably a uhaul problem, not a one off rude person. I'll never use uhaul again and I will never recommend them to a friend. Do better.

The only part that was tricky is the coding and the swiping working toward access at least three times and the voice part of intercoms appears to not work. Thank you for the mover’s helpers. The other part online with mover’s helpers was not able to reserve….tried at least five times.

The facility was visually very clean and the staff was really nice snd attentive. I should tell there is a but- the climate controlled area did smell like maybe mice in the ventilation system. I think they handled it eventually but when i first arrived it was kind of overwhelming. I was storing a bunch empty containers in prep for moving a store so i didn’t think it would matter for my stuff, but if it was furniture or clothing… I might have passed.

The manager at this location I assume is the manager anyway when I rented my unit was absolutely the rudest unprofessional woman I have ever met. So much so I was very uncomfortable with leaving my belongings in the storage unit. Then she over charged me almost 100.00 dollars I had to call the 1800 number so I could get my money back. The paperwork on the uhaul truck I rented when I rented the unit didn't even match the truck I was given. The woman who I assume was the manager that day 09/30/2022 at around 11:00am when I went in the office to ask what unit number my unit was not only did she not give me the whole number which was building c unit numbers 611-612 she just told be 611 her and her staff actually watched me and my boyfriend and our friend drive around and walk around the whole storage facility for almost 2 hours looking for my unit that was come to find out inside of building c which I was never told after multiple trips inside the office. She and one of her staff actually laughed at us as they just watched us. Some of my belongings I found out when I moved out of the unit where damaged and broken because it took us so long to find the unit without any help from staff we where running out of time alloted for the uhaul truck that we rented a was told couldn't be extended so we couldn't pack our belongings in the unit as they should have been neatly and carefully because doing so we would have had to pay for another day on the uhaul truck. Which the woman tried to do anyway when she overcharged me for the truck anyway. And last but not least after moving out of my unit on 10/29/2022 I was charged 50.00 dollars for a cleaning fee when I swept out the unit myself when we finished emptying the unit which I have been unable to get refunded back to me. I will never rent from this uhaul again. It was the worst uhaul experience I have ever had. And I will not be recommending this uhaul place to anyone. Thank you for your time and be blessed.

Ronni Kay was my sales person for this. She was friendly and helpful i wanted to look at the storage spaces because i have to see how big they are i cant picture the size. She took me to look and stayed friendly. The only thing i would suggest maybe get a golf cart to ride the walk was a little to much i have a neck injury and its hard to walk that far. Other than that everything was great.

The facilities are not well maintained and have rodents and stray animals. The roof allowed access for a stray cat to die in the unit. The staff is great but the grounds need updating.

My rent was due on July 4 and I pick up the RV on the 5th. They still wanted me to paid the hole month of rent because it was already due. After arguing about why I had to paid the hole month rent, that it was bue 1 day before and that it was a holiday, they told me "as a courtesy they charge me have the rent.

I only had one problem my brother works for Uhaul so he sent me his SMID number but I was told I could not use it because he was not there or the reservation had to be in his name.

Once I put my things in the unit I didn't need access to it until I came back to get. Although I did check on evey3-4 months. My rental was a successful one. I would use this facility again if I had something to store that I could not accommodate myself All employees were helpful.

These people changed the name on a account argued with a customer who was telling them they never showed identification to get the unit. Ran someone else card to pay for the unit they changed the name of & for over a year held onto a storage that was told to them multiple times wasn’t needed. If I had more time on my hands I would’ve filed a lawsuit on this company. I wouldn’t rent anything from this company ever in my life. It had a hole in the unit that ruined items. These people or rude & they will change info on your units. Beware of them.

Moved out of storage over 8 months ago. Hammond uhaul 4 month of being gone they charged my credit cart over 400 dollars that I didn't authorize. Spoke with multiple people stating I have move out kept calling stating I had the lock still on the storage unit. I took the lock when I moved out so it was a lie . I will not recommend hammond to anyone
