The truck was in sorry condition. It had a bad exhaust leak. The rear door was hard to open. The front end was squeaking and wandered on and of the road. My guess is that it was several months over due on the maintenance.MARK W.
I used the online option to rent a truck. I couldn't get location services to work, the employees didn't care very much. I finally figured out to download the app and it worked better. No thanks to the employees. I left 30 minutes late trying to make this work. I then had to keep the truck for an extra 2 hours. They charged me for an additional full day. When I got the truck it had half a tank of gas. When I returned it it was slightly below the half. They wanted to charge me 40 dollars for the gas. I will never use uhaul again!Fernando D.

I made an online reservation for a 10' truck and a trailer for towing. I had a rough start to the day and was late to my original pick up time. I gave them a call and everything was still good to go. I can't recall her name but the lady who got us checked in was very pleasant and polite. The return process was easy. I'll definitely go back for any future moving needs.Colby M.

Large rip in middle seat The location asked for everything I had supplied online and then changed the price of my rental and coverage. I had picked every thing I wanted when I booked it online but by the time they were done , my same rental was $200 more in costs. Horrible. Keep track of your calls and logs. I returned the truck I rented on a Sunday night. Spoke with someone Monday morning and they told me I was good to go. Got a call on a Wednesday from a very rude lady saying the truck was still not turned in. I advised them to go back and look at their call logs since all calls are recorded. When a customer rents a trailer He/She should be informed at sign out rather than upon returning of the trailer what the should do. Meaning pull in and take it back over to the area they picked it up from and notify someone to unhook the trailer or wait in the return line till someone helps them. Show the fuel level to be correct. When I picked it up the tank was half full but the contract showed a full tank. I brought it to their attention and they said it would be fixed but when I returned it they were trying to charge me for a full tank. I only drive 27 miles total so there's no way I used a half tank in 27 miles. I put gas in and it was over half full when it was returned. Big hassle.LES L.

The Universal Coupler lock I purchased was not useful since the trailer was hooked up by your staff and we were discouraged from disconnecting the trailer until we got to our location. It would seem to make more sense to market a chock lock at each location.Richard O.

It would be awesome if every single U-Haul location was run as nice and smoothly as this one! It would make for an excellent model for all other U-Haul locations to follow. It's extremely nice the way they take care of customers, more importantly its very convenient to have both storage units and equipment rental/returns all at the same location! AND BY THE WAY THIS IS NOT THE 5201 DENTON HWY LOCATION!! THIS IS THE 3145 S. Campbell Ave location in Springfield, MO , needless to say I'm not very impressed with this huge mistake and you should send me another request for review for the CORRECT LOCATION!!STEPHEN R.

U-haul is a nice and clean place. But two thing I didn't like was, that it takes me about 20 to 35 minutes to talk to the person there, when I try to call. It's a long wait just to speak to someone there. And another is that the rates keeps going up every year. I started at somewhere around $95.00 and end up at $139.95 a month and going up again. The only comment that I would give you is that I was very disappointed because, even though I made the reservation for a 10x20 storage since July 13, when I got there the attendant told me there were no storage available of that size and he told me the only one available it was a 5x8 or something like that. I was insisting that I was coming from another state and that I needed a storage to leave my stuff, so he started looking for some availability on the system and finally he gave me 2 storages 10x10 and paying more than expected. After witnessing communication problems, late fees applied to account when we thought the account would be paid by auto draft, long waits and impossible telephone waiting times made it very difficult to communicate to staff. Even after I left two days early and left my Storage unit open and clean before the end of my month I was still charged the fee. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. I would give a five star rating but the access and security system for the storage units has a lot of room for improvement. I came at 8:45PM with my first load. The access gate let me in but an alarm sounded when I removed my lock. I tried to leave but the exit gate kept saying access denied and would not let me out. I called the emergency number on the exit gate twice but no one answered so I left voicemails. I called the police to make sure they weren't already on their way since the alarm was going off. I eventually ended up having to climb your 8 foot fence in a dress with slippery dress sandals, jump over the other side, open the entry gate, run back to my car and drive it out the entry. You may want to consider adding a security guard during access hours to help out in those types of situations or possibly having a backup emergency phone number posted.Stacey B. | First Impressions
