On the Saturday mornings I visited the store was extremely busy. It seemed to be well staffed, but only having 3 terminal was the limiting factor. If there was more work stations, during peak times I think the staff could move customers more quickly.Scott W.

READ BEFORE YOU RENT ANYTHING!!!!!!!! If i could give zero stars i would. They did something wrong with my account because when i returned my truck i couldn't do a proper return. They messed up entering my info or something. I just have to hope they don't try and screw me around. My truck drove horrible. It had a bad exhaust leak and there was a ton of play in the steering. It was all beat up and some of it wasn't marked and the site kept messing up every time i tried to dispute the condition of the truck with the pictures you see before you leave in the truck. I honestly felt they were going to find a way to make me pay for the damage that was already on the truck. This will be the last time i use U-Haul. They have progressively gotten worse every time I've used them over the past couple of years. It's way over priced for the quality of equipment, and i don't feel safe driving their vehicles. Update: You know U-Haul is doing bad when they charge you over $9.00 for a 1/16 of a tank of gas. How are you supposed to put it exactly back when there are no 1/16 or 1/8 markings on the fuel gauge. So you have to bring it back with more fuel than you left with apparently. You better believe corporate refunded my money. I will never use U-Haul again. The guy who set me up with the truck said "If you don't use a lot of gas and it gets down to the half a tank line then just put 5 to 5 1/2 gallons back in it and you will be fine. We won't refund you money for returning it with more gas than you started with." When i put gas in it, I put 6 gallons and the gauge showed a needle width above half when i started adding fuel. Dude you're a liar. What a way to scam people. The guy at corporate i talked to also told me that the store had noted my truck was dirty. Look at the pics and tell me if you think i left it dirty. No wonder the U-Haul brand is doing so bad. They are trying to scam honest people to try and make a buck.George C.

Switched the location into not properly notify me. Location never changed in my notification and I had to drive to the old place 1st and then to the new place was almost an hour late. Not willing to budge on helping out with the extra miles to have to drive to a location. Made me bother a 3rd party to have them call them and validate me. I've rented a U-Hail from this location on several occasions from big moves, to picking up a couch. The staff here always takes good care of their customers and has a great moral with their coworkers. Recently, I happened to be going through a tough split with my partner and had the worst of days. Luckily, Geovanni helped me get into a storage unit last minute, and I was able to extend my Uhaul, no questions asked. It is kindness from others that goes a long way and can make or break your day. Geo took what was broken and made it shine! Forever thankful and will be continue to do business with this location for all my moving needs in the future.Heather B.

The vehicle had a seal leak somewhere along the drivers door and made the drive very loud. The battery gauge was completely inoperable, and the check engine light came on when driving back to the location. Interior was clean enough, but I still felt the need to wash my hands after leaving the vehicle. The ramp on the back of the truck was slippery and looks like the wear on it took down the traction to barely functional.justin A.

Make sure you have the right parts for the job. I took my SUV in to have a trailer hitch installed. I waited three hours to find out the supplier had shipped the wrong part for the job. I was very pleased with the service people at this location. They did all the electoral work and will call to let me know when the right parts arrive. Now I have to spend more time getting the job done. I'm very upset with someone somewhere, and I'm very pleased with how U-Hall handled this problem. Rented a 10 Ft Truck. After waiting 25 minutes I was told thee were none and would be getting a 15ft. First 15 ft truck was brought out and the parking brake wouldn't release. A second truck was brought out so after an hour from my arrival I drove off the lot. I returned the truck approximately an hour later. I was told an email receipt would be sent. 2 hours after returning the truck I was sent a text saying I had 1 hour left to return the truck. I drove back to the lot and asked why don't you know that I had returned the truck 2 hours earlier. After another 20 minutes of waiting I was given my receipt.Lance F.

I requested to have an extra day rental due being delayed and the lady stated it would be due back on 4/20 at 4:00 pm. We got a call from Amy at 8:51am, she stated that we were supposed to have the u-haul back by 4:00 pm yesterday. She was very rude and stated the guy who reserved it was there to get it. I tried to tell her that we got an extension and she stated that I did not. She argued and was unprofessional. Jennifer her supervisor stated that we caused the guy to have to drive 100 miles to get another u-haul.amber P.
Gio was excellent and polite. I talked with him several times prior to my visit. I've rented vehicles from this location for many years and this was the first time I was not treated very well. Jan needs to go through customer service training again. She was very rude to me and kept calling me hon. I'm. 66 years old and that's very disrespectful. I tried to bring this up with location mgr with no response and I talked to Linda in Corporate and was disconnected with no calling me back. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. I would say it was the one store but it's not. You should reevaluate how the process is with them they should never be split up if they were reserved together.My truck was turned in yesterday then I get a call that my truck was never turned in. This is bad customer service and no one ever offers help or refunds. Kayla at the east McKinney store was the only employee that even shown any concerns with all the issues I have had. Your employees could use a course in customer service. We placed our order 10 days in advance for a 20 get a call the next day they only have a 17 available so we said ok. We get there the day of and they have us for a 15 and when I told the lady that was wrong and got upset she got attitude right back and basically told me I could take it or leave it and she was not willing to accommodate for the extra milage we would have to use it or anything. This location was excellent. However, the Grapevine TX location where I originally had my reservation sent me there because they didn't have the trailer I RESERVED. So I had to drive another 20 miles to Haltom City. At Grapevine there were a few trailers that would work for me, but they said they "had reservations" for the next day. Well, I also had a reservation for that day and was there to claim it. Very disappointed with that location.Marco C.

Absolutely horrible experience when we originally moved into a unit on December 29th not one member of the staff was able to help us I ended up having to do the rental online in front of them. A week later when we try to gain access to our unit our access code no longer worked. We then had to deal with Jennifer who gave us a card to access storage area. Upon arrival of the unit we were assigned via e-mail we find our units lock had been cut and was left unsecured. Had to go back to Jennifer who was very snide and unapologetic and all she did was tell us it was our fault and we did check in wrong and we had moved into the incorrect unit number. Why on gods green earth would we pick a random storage unit on the opposite side of the building rather the the unit number that uhaul email sent!?! Made the comment that she takes one day off a year and this happens. How is it our fault that we followed what the emails stated and did not receive any help from her side of the counter!?! My experience shows that she is a poor owner/operator and has inept staff if she could not train them to do what appears to be a simple task of a storage check in since they are in the moving and storage business. From I-820 E., Exit 19A, then turn Right on to Hwy 377, and then immediately turn Left to enter the facility on the Left side, and have to cross the solid yellow lines, and across the busy Highway. Customer service is very poor, 45 min wait to get key card. Emptied unit and witnessed more than one dissatisfied customer. One in fact yelling about how he was approached outside impeding traffic. Another upset about how it was communicated he was at fault for not reading their policy. Understaffed and poorly trained in customer service. After emptying my unit, I had to wait another 45 mins just to close out my unit. I understand the process I waited on takes more than 5 mins but, almost 2 hours is unacceptable. When I originally arranged for the storage unit it was supposed to be one of the large 10x20s I got there and the people that were renting that storage shed we're still renting it and still had all their stuff in it so they moved me to 2 of the 5x10s and charge me that and now I've got everything out of one unit and into the other unit and there's only about a $50 difference in my bill so if you could explain that that would help I think the number was 2701 Michael ashinhurst my return number is 817-345-1465 I mean I sincerely feel like I've gotten ripped off along the way hereMICHAEL A. | Overall Experience
