One star is not a low enough rating. My girlfriend and I very recently moved from Rochester, NY to Vancouver, WA. Our entire experience with this particular Uhaul site was some of the worst I have ever experienced. First off, we were originally supposed to pick up our equipment from the east ridge road location, however, I received a last minute call saying they had switched our location to long pond. Their reasoning was because the east ridge road did not have any equipment for one way rental. I asked them if they had reached out to my girlfriend about the switch, as we were both supposed to be getting trailers, and they said she would be contacted. They never called my girlfriend to tell her of the switch! So when I met up with her and brought up that we were going to long pond instead, she got extremely confused. This caused a massive headache off the bat because we had to call to check if they had correctly changed her reservation to the new location as well. Secondly, when we showed up we both had already reached out to Uhaul regarding the drop off location. Yet for some reason, her location was never properly input into the system. So when we got there, they had to ask us where we were going. For yet another time, to which we explained the specific location in Vancouver, WA. After those headaches, we finally got outside to start hooking up the trailers, when they went to hook up the trailer to my suv, they didn't even have the adapter ready that I had purchased through the reservation. I was asked if I had it and stated that I had made the purchase through the reservation. Meanwhile my girlfriend had asked on multiple occasions what the process was for validating a trailer being taken across the country, she was told that they each are supposed to go through multi point inspections, especially for cross country travel. This will be for later. So the guy comes back and sets everything up and shows me the process for connecting and disconnecting the trailer. Has me sign of on a sheet verifying that he did those things. He does the same with my girlfriends trailer and sends us on our way. Here comes the scary part. At this point we had made it to Spokane Washington which was about 6 hours out from our location. When we went to go fill our trucks with gas, my girlfriend noticed that one of the 12x6 tires is flat. So we call Uhaul roadside assistance and had a service provider come out to replace the tire. While waiting we looked at the tire, and saw that there was exposed metal braiding on that tire from its interior meaning that it was beyond bald when we were sent off from our long pond location, the other three tires on the vehicle were still filled with air and had healthy amounts of tread, so that shows that there was no improper driving that would have effected this, as any driver knows that tires are good for at the least 20,000 miles. This means that we were sent off from the location with a beyond bald tire. What happened to the multi point inspection? The service provider got there and stated himself how terrible it was that the tire had be allowed to get that low. He went to remove the lug nuts to replace the tire and one of them was not even finger tightened it was incredibly easy to spin off. He then checked all of the other lug nuts on all of the tires, and surprise surprise none of them were tight, below the proper torque specifications for the lug nuts! while checking the lug nuts he inspected the other tires and found that on the other trailer we had, one of its tires was also bald! So both trailers were given to us and were allowed to leave their lot with dangerously worn tires and lose lug nuts. What the hell?! So they knew where we were going, knew that this move entailed crossing over the Rocky mountain range at some point because unless you go all the way south, you have to. We drove through the mountains with the trailers in the conditions they were in!! We could have died! This is absolutely unacceptable and action needs to be taken immediately to compensate us for this atrocious and life threatening quality of service. These trailers should not have even left the lot, let alone been used for a cross country move! Let me reiterate; WE COULD HAVE DIED! If one of those tires blew out on us or flew off because of the loose lug nuts while we were driving through the mountains we would have died. There's no questions, no, â€œwell you didn't die soâ€¦â€ none of that. This is entirely unacceptable! To top it all off, when we unloaded the uhauls at the drop off location we found that the 12x6 trailer had a massive leak and a lot of our belongings got soaked as it had rained in multiple locations throughout the trip. So to finish, this needs to be rectified immediately and the company is lucky they don't have a multi million dollar lawsuit on their hands. They have until 6pm today to reply back to us then this issue gets escalated to upper management. Do a better job Uhaul.MARKA S.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Very poor experience. Initially I was suppose to pick up my uhaul at another location. The day of without being notified my location was changed . Me and my bf had been driving from Ny to Washington state they knew about it it's in the system . The trailer was dirty and I had to clean it. Per policy the trailer are supposed to be inspected . We put our trust in them thinking they had been. We had been wrong almost lost our lives due to negligence. The trailer I had it's tire blew out when the service guy came to fix it was in shock that the nuts on all the tires had been loose and wires had been exposed with no tread at all and metal sticking out. The trailer ended up needing all the bolts tightened. Driving through hills and mountains we could have died im disturbed completely. We also had water leak in the trailer all over our things. That's not okay! They second trailer had 2 bold tires no tread and one tire with a bulge on it and lose nuts on all the tires as well! Thank god the service ppl went above and beyond because we could have had another blow out at any point. I'm upset and this is not okay at all. I never had such a terrible experience with this company. We pay all this money to almost lose our lives and not have proper communication.improvement wise do the basic inspection and have nicer staff greeting you and doing there job to have people safe . When someone reserves a uhaul at a certain location then the uhaul should be thereâ€¦dont change the pickup location to another one 30 minutes out of the way. I also had to pay an extra $20 because of this as well as costs of gas!Matthew G.

When I arrived to pick up my 15' rental I was informed it was unavailable. I was given a 26' for the same price. Worked out well because 2 planned trips became 1.
