I used the uhaul app when dropping off after hours in Hillsboro Tx. After I took the series of pictures three times and it kicked me back to the beginning each timer of the dropping off practice I gave up.

Coordinating the trailer and truck was NOT smooth. I expected to pick up together and was very surprised to have to make a second trip. The resulting extra driving miles resulted in Uhaul charging me an extra $40 mileage even though I had made the exact same trip a week before and was within the mileage. This felt a bit petty considering I had just spent about $8000 in truck/trailer rentals.

The counter people were not helpful and I had to go outside myself and take a picture of the front sticker of 2 trailers I wanted information because they told me they don’t have 4x8 and 5x8. Then when I showed them the picture, they asked me if it was a motorcycle trailer. Told them I don’t know and I’m using it to move some furniture. I had to request that one of them get up and come to the lot so I could show them what I want. I’ve used this location before to install trailer hitches and return rentals with no problem but will no use it for rentals again. Their customer service was awful.

When I received the truck, the previous person that had cleaned it out last, had not updated the new information about the truck into the computer. The miles were incorrect and the gasoline wasn't correct. I tried to fix it on the app but it would not let me upload pictures and then it said the application had timed out. I spoke to the girl at the counter about it and she said she would fix it on the computer before I left but apparently she didn't. Upon returning the truck, a random guy in the parking lot came and took the keys from me. He said he was in a rush to clean the truck. When I went inside, before I even had time to check out and show them the discrepancies about the mileage and the gasoline, the girl gave me the receipt and they had charged me $52 more than what it should have been. They had already checked in the car and everything before I even got to talk to them and sign any papers or sign the computer. But luckily I had pictures to show them the gasoline was much less would I received it and specially the mileage they were charging before was incorrect. I think they should not charge you until you have a time to go to the checkout counter and sign the paper saying you want the charges to be taken out of that same card, and you approve the amount that's being charged before it's charged in case there any discrepancies. I had been told that when I get to the counter the computer would ask me if I wanted to keep the charges on that card or use a different form of method of payments and that was not the case they automatically charged the card without even asking me or me signing for that. They had also told me that when I checked out they would tell me exactly how much my charges were if I were agreeing or not and then side for the card. I had specifically asked about this but none of that was done they automatically checked in my truck as if I had left it overnight in a drop box key slot. And that was not the case. So I am very disappointed in that type of discrepancy that was caused by the person who didn't check in the truck from the previous person correctly and I'm disappointed in the fact that what they told me to fall if he was was not the case they were just rushing me along and making their job easier but it cost me $52 more than what it should cost and who knows if I'll get that money back.

Excellent check in procedure. But I recommend staff meet truck and go over return procedures. The more you eliminate the personal touch, the more mistakes will happen. Train your people well, no phone, no app, will be as good as a well trained staff checking the vehicle out and returning the vehicle.

I did say the truck was clean when I initially did the email app, but after pulling away there were a couple things I realized that while the truck was OK for one that old, the windshield inside and out was filthy! Also, the radio was broken, did not work at all. Lastly, the unit was NOT full of gas, so I tried to get it close to where it appeared to be when I got it. I drove it 50 miles and it cost me $28 or 8 gallons of fuel. There is NO WAY I used 8 gallons and feel I should get some sort of credit for that. I do not understand WHY you wouldn't require a full tank on return, then this could NOT be a disputed issue for anyone.

When I went to fill up the gas tank before dropping off, I filled it until it literally stopped the gas meter from putting more gas (presumably because of a full tank) but it was still at 3/4 full. I mentioned this when dropping off and even had a picture of the line at 3/4 but was still charged for 1/8 of the tank. It was only 8$ but still was a surprise.

The entire process has been a disaster. The web site said 3 hour installation. Installer said 4 hours. I was actually on site over 6 hours. I have a new vehicle with just over 1,000 miles on it and there are fresh scratches in several places on the bumper. It doesn’t matter if a car has 1,000 or 50,000 miles on it, a customers paint work should not be treated the way mine was. I knew there had to be some cutting done on the facia because I had this same vehicle previously with a uhaul hitch. It looks like a 10 year old made the cuts. Per the instructions, it was to be. 3x14 rectangular cut. The cut that was made is somewhat of a gourd shaped oval and shows a much larger hole than should be seen from behind the vehicle. The electrical plug cover will not completely open unless you pull the facia out of the way. Even with the hole being oversized, it’s cut so poorly that they missed where the hole needed to be a little larger. I took several photos and plan to file a claim. When the owner, installer brought me the paperwork, he said we have a problem. I can’t find the key to the hitch. I said, so I can’t use the hitch and he just kind of shrugged his shoulders and said, I have looked all over for them, but let me try again. He went out to my car and found them in the hitch box, stuck in the key hole, in the metal block for the hitch. This has been the worst customer service I have experienced in many many many years. He never apologized and just said “if you want to file a claim” here is the info and handed me a pamphlet. I am not a happy customer.

This was a HORRIBLE experience! The driver's door of the van never properly closed, keeping the open door light on throughout. The female that was working the counter was confrontational and rude when I asked her to expedite my check-in for my accountant's paperwork. Her disrespectful attitude seemed to stem from being interrupted while texting. She was both rude and confrontational and got raised her voice towards me and all I was asking for was to have my equipment checked in! Moreover, the van was filthy with almond joy wrappers in the door. Eventually, a young man assisted me after the rude young lady insisted they would check it in later and send the bill, which I refused as I wanted a documented final bill to prevent unauthorized charges. He then insisted I clean the van or face charges, despite returning it in its original condition. I complied, received my final bill, but the service was shockingly poor. The receptionist's conduct was unacceptable, and I believe she should be terminated for her attitude and treatment she gave me. I would imagine she does this to others as well.

An Employee named Shelby was very rude & no eye contact at all. My appointment for trailer pickup was 11 am & I arrived at 10:55 am & didn't get help until 11:07 & Shelby didn't finish the paperwork until 12 after 11 am & she informed me that I must return the trailer exactly 11 am the next day, if not I will be charged additional day & I haven't picked up the trailer until 17 after 11 am.

I have Rented from this location on HWY 121 & North of Hall Johnson many times. The team is excellent & I have been able to rent a pickup this week with under 3000 miles & a cargo van with 1600 miles. My own vehicle has been in the shop for 5 days. It was EASY to extend my contract when my repairs were not finished. UHAUL is much lower price than a car rental company & then you don't get such new vehicles. As a Senior, I recommend you try.

Wait times are excessive With automation, pre-scheduling, using the app etc, pick up and drop off should not take 30 min to over an hour. If you get a good rep/customer service agent in person, it’s at least pleasant and they try try to address issues… but the line/wait times are ridiculous. I will not choose Uhaul nor this location when there are so many other places to choose from in future.

The young gentleman that assisted us was amazing. I couldn’t believe how quickly we were able to secure a storage unit. He also helped us find the best unit for what we were looking for. This is the worst store & experience I’ve ever had. The staff are rude, not trained and just plain don’t care. They sit on the counters and play on the phones. They park on the entrance to the storage units, not a care in the world. Worst customer service and the GM needs a personality change. This is just one of many complaints I plan on making!

Your prices are far more expensive than your other competitors and now you increase your rentals. It's sad that if you pay for a month and only use half of the month, you don't prorated the difference.You just keep the whole portion and pocket yourself. This is why I won't encourage other people to use your storage facilities.

The staff was not friendly at all Egar made a mistake and gave me a occupied storage unit and than I went back to tell him and I asked how this mistake happened than Kali said it wasn’t a mistake so what you call it how is it not a mistake like did Egar meant to give me someone else’s unit. And than no one apologized for the inconvenience or anything just very unprofessional and not great customer service skills at all neither one of them. I will never want to work with Egar are Kalil again.

I just could not afford to keep the space any longer. At one point I had 4 units after a large home sale. Then 3 then 2. I have maintained a large unit for 6 years. U-Haul finally priced me out. I noticed many empty units recently. There is a point where people just say no…..not any more…..

very clean and secure. I had my furnishings and other personal items there for over a year. I only went there one time to check on my stuff as I had unexpectedly moved about an hour away from the facility. When I moved out, everything was in great shape, no bugs or other critters. Very nice.

There are two issues I had with this facility We rented for over three years. It is often impossible to have someone pick up the phone. I was later I was told that they were understaffed and therefore no one was available to answer the phone Secondly, the staff are young men with a frequent turnover. And these staff members were not trained or knowledgeable of the system and administrative duties. Very frustrated

The facility was nice but the employees seemed uneducated about the process. They didn’t have my reservation although I had an email confirmation. They then gave me a locker that was currently occupied. The instructions weren’t clear and I had to keep coming back down from the 3rd floor to try and get things worked out at the front desk. The easiest part of the process was moving my things in, even the heaviest pieces.

I had to in multiple instances redirect the staff who were very distracted with eachother outside of work related focuses to please check me out. This staff was inappropriate in their jokes outloud to eachother infront of customers and were more concerned about eachother than the customers that were needing help. I spent 30 min checking out with them partially due to technical issues in the system that day but the other half of it was because of their lack in the ability to focus on their work at hand and being to busy making jokes and horseplaying in almost a manner of them thinking the customers were enjoying their actions. I had to finally ask them to focus on checking me out and remind them that I was on a timeline to turn in my truck and had just finished a 2 day drive across the country and that I would like to be done with everything sooner than later due to their account of not focusing on their tasks at hand. They were more than enough staffed, but were more focused on their jokes and horseplaying than U-Haul business with its customers. This was the most poor example of U-Haul employees I’ve experienced, and due to the delays and lack of focus I lost my patience and told them to come get me once they were done with the horseplaying as I had to complete my unloading so I could complete my move. My girlfriend came in the office to complete checking out as I was done with the lack of service I was being provided, and she relayed to me that they were sorry for everything.
