Our trip was really good. However, the only thing I would recommend is to put cruise control in your trucks... especially for long trips. Driving 14 hrs straight through is rough on the foot and leg! Other than that, it was good.BRIAN C.
Called to confirm rental of a 20 ft. UHaul per text message from UHaul. Confirmed my reservation with clerk who answered phone. Called again the day before pickup to be sure of open hours and was told I did not have a reservation at that location. Once I was assertive and repeated the conversation I had word for word on the prior phone call I was told to hang on a minute. After SEVERAL minutes the person came back on and told me I needed to be there by 9AM to pick up the UHAUL since she was leaving for the day. I was located 1 and a half hours from them and this was 8:30 AM, I told her this. She stated she would have someone there in that case who could do the paperwork. When we arrived at the pickup location our rental was handled via a phone call. The truck was never inspected with a UHAUL representative. I was handed the keys after the phone call and told where it was. There were several scratches on the UHAUL that we took pictures of, the gas tank was not on the level it stated it was in the contract I received via email and the truck was nasty both inside and out! These are only the beginning of the problems. Once we got the UHAUL loaded and our car hooked up to the tow dolly, we headed out. We filled the tank up prior to our trip half way across the country. I must not here that UHAUL is the ONLY moving company to only give 5 days for the trip we were making and doesn't offer unlimited miles- they were also the ONLY moving company with a vehicle available for the dates we needed. Once we got on the interstate we realized something was odd- we had a terrible time getting the uhaul past 45 mph! It would bounce and shake and had a horrible time going into the higher gears. There was NO transmission fluid in it, and hardly any oil!!! The small bit of oil in the truck was black as sludge. Incredibly disappointing doesn't even begin to cover our experience. This is a company who knew we were traveling halfway across the country, over steep mountainous terrain and didn't bother to issue us a vehicle that had been serviced!! Our move wound up costing us more time and money than it should have in fuel, food and hotel costs, not to mention the stress it caused on what should have been an otherwise beautiful drive- but when it takes you double the time to get from point A to point B- the scenery becomes secondary to just getting where you are going in one piece. I can't say I've EVER been this disappointed in a rental from UHaul as I was this one. My extended family who had an upcoming move has decided to go with a different company as will I from this point forward. I really cannot understand better serviced vehicles knowing someone is going to take it across mountains!! This is one move that cost us wayyyyyy more than in should have- buyer beware!Tammy H.

this agent accepted the unit as my planned drop-off location was closed at 5pm. very nice rep!George H.
Upon arrival at this location, the employee there rode up on his motorized scooter, right in front of my husband, with my 3 granddaughters close by, almost hitting my husband. The employee was rude, yelling that it was 5:00 p.m. and that they closed at 5:00 p.m. and we needed to leave. The employee then closed the door, which we had the code for, and told us to leave. The employee didn't care that we had a truck full of furniture and that we all had to work the next day. He told us that it was on us, and we should know what the paperwork said about the facility closing at 5 on Sunday. I'm very upset about this behavior. We had the code and unit number, the facility is not a locked facility, meaning that we could have access to the unit even after 5. We had to find another place to rent and store our things. We would never in my life use this facility in any way, shape or form!!!Gregory G.

Your morning employee Lanny threatened me with cancelation of my contract. I felt threatened by this and it impacted the overall impression of this facility. All the other staff went above and beyond. Had he canceled my contract, I would not have been able to do what I needed and also cost me in a non performance fee. DEFINITELY NOT WHAT I WOULD HAVE EVER EXPECTED.steven B.

Lonny the "manager" has poor social skills and it effects his customer service. Snarky unpleasant attitude is off putting. He referenced that he made "lots of money" as a weird flex for his lack of personal tact. Would never do buisness with this establishment. Would seek to steer anyone I knew to never use this branch of the uhaul organization. This place is a dud.JAIME M.

FYI: Upon renting the truck, I noticed, while we were on the road, that one of the rear outside dual tires was low. Was a little bit of a challenge to find an air hose that accommodated THAT particular air stem of the tire.ROY M.

When dropping of the rental truck I asked the gentleman about the $100.00 credit as I was told to do that it would be in my reservation he was very rude and said "I'm not giving you ANY money that I did not collect from you! You need to figure that out with the location you rented from. I'd also like to speak to someone about not have air conditioning as the response from the gentleman was "did you call road side assistance?" He was not willing to help at all. REturned vehicle - told agent about the extra mileage due to a road closure. He helped me within minutes....I sat on hold for 2 hours before returning the vehicle hoping customer service would help me...CS just hung up on my multiple times. the agent I returned to, said yep you can't help that the interstate is closed and fixed it for me.Ashley B.
Over all the store is good but on this particular reservation I walked into the store Larry was helping a customer, another customer came in after me and the first words out of Larry's mouth was "I sure hope you have a reservation". He didn't greet myself or the customer behind me. His customer service is definitely not good. I've worked in customer service before and I personally know this is not how you treat your customers. I reserved a unit online for longs park facility with 24 hour access, but when I went to office to get set up I was told there were no 10x10 units available at that location. I had to take one in a different location that was in doors. I don't understand why it even lets you make a reservation if you're not going to be guaranteed the unit.Ashley L. | First Impressions
I was given one storage unit, only to find it was already occupied. When I went to the office to sort it out, the staff member was exceptionally rude because it was "close to closing." He gave a another unit, across town, that turned out to also already be occupied.
