The gate was not working properly, had to open it manually when leaving and shut it behind after we left .
JENNIFER JBe more transparent about costs. Payment this time around felt unfair containing hidden fees and quircks about payment that where not disclosed until the end of my use renting a uhaul truck. This should be illegal.

ADAM WDrop off went very smoothly, pulled into a spot took some pictures of the truck, closed out the rental on the app and dropped keys in lock box and left.

James L | Overall ExperienceHighly overpriced, every couple of months there was an increase in price which is ridiculous, additional fees for 2 days late because of credit card expired but no notification just charge the person more money, economy isn't good and customers aren't made of money so your storage facility will be empty soon with all the increases especially with new facility across the street which is cheaper. Amanda and Kim are the best and take alot of crap due to price increases and upset customers, they deserve better.

JOHN MPersonally price is too high but I guess everything else is too. There were times I was late and was called numerous times, with all the hassle we got going on in life being late was not the first bill on the list but I guess they are doing their job.

GREGORY AI would suggest new dollies. The two dollies that were available were not stable. The tires were worn or missing causing unnecessary loud noises. Outside of that, it was a great experience with u-haul.

Heather B | Overall ExperienceI did not check mileage when I picked up vehicle but I drove 12 miles picked up an item brought it to my house and returned vehicle. Was charged for 21 miles - impossible and 2 gallons of gas. Impossible to do in the 75 minutes I had the truck.
Lauri HIt was easy to setup appointment but was not able to extend it. We didn't do all the mikes which were quoted and we were not given a refund, thus part n see to be adjusted and provide us with that. It's a 20 mile difference.

John TThe unit was rented in not good operating condition. I'm a Service director for a fortune 100 company. In my line of work I make sure every unit taken out for a customer is in good operating condition. The unit i was given had 3 lights on. It had a light for airbag, abs light, and traction control light. The way a unit is presented to a customer who is renting it can make or break a relationship. When I'm paying for a unit and it has multiple lights and stored codes that were never addressed then ultimately I'm not getting what I paid for. I hope to be contacted about this and given a partial refund. I have pictures as well to show everything. Lack of maintenance for a rental truck company sums up my experience.

LORETTA BThe people working here were as helpful as they could be however due to flaws in policy and how u haul is run from a corporate perspective has a lot to be desired. I was asked to reserve a storage facility when I booked 2 months prior which I agreed to as I needed one. When I arrived after driving 1300 miles I come to find out there were no units available and they could offer me multiple smaller units at an increased cost because they had no ability to do anything with cost so at the 11th hour I needed to go find another storage facility that was not as close making my life more difficult. My intuition was this was not an uncommon occurrence. Given poor scheduling, with storage facility then the bait and switch and unwillingness to work with me on a situation completely caused by Uhaul it is highly unlikely I would recommend or use your company's services again. There used to be a day when companies appreciated your business and the way Uhaul is not one of them at the corporate level. As I said your employees were great, equipment was great, corporate policies and strips policy sucks

CTHERINE HNeed more staff at end of day when renters are picking up. There were at least 4 reservations for a 4 pm pickup and only one person in the office. When I dropped off, there were no renters and 3 persons in office. Need better allocation of staff.
DAVID SI returned my vehicle with very low miles, around 9mi., and was not notified that I would be charged $20 extra for returning it after hours. I was not advised that there is such a charge. $78 for 9mi. is unexpected and unpleasant. If I received something for this charge, I wouldn't have a problem. I won't be recommending Uhaul to anyone except someone I don't like.

LOUIS MI called in the morning with questions. Ed was pleasant and helpful in answering them all and assisted us when we got to the facility. While moving can be a very overwhelming, our experience here was wonderfully smooth!

Keitha F | Overall ExperienceDid online check in for storage. Arrived within move in hours to find a lock on my unit. Two messages via app and two calls to U-Haul with nobody from site responding. Wasted an hour with no resolve so took truck home (gas was at 3/4 which is where it should have been. Pictures to prove it). Upon return I spoke to people in office, they removed lock and admitted the messed up. After move in, returned truck keys and was told we were all good and they would email receipt because printer wasn't working.. (I showed them pictures of the fuel from night before). Then I receive email 5 hrs later with a $19 charge for fuel. I called and the guy who answered was very rude and tried to make it my fault that I had to return home and waste gas and time. He said it was all the site managers decision. Filed complaint with Corp and requested the recorded call be reviewed. Not happy at all. Highly advise that you only move in during office hours or better yet find a place who cares!

sean kMy rental was due on Monday. I dropped it off on Sunday. On Monday I received text messages and telephone calls reminding me to return the rental. Uhhhh, I dropped it off yesterday??? I had to call the facility and remind them the trailer was sitting in their yard. Finally the return was processed. This location needs improved efforts on the customer return experience. Not cool letting a customer think a trailer returned a day before is missing because someone neglected to complete the paperwork.

CESAR D | First ImpressionsThe lady that I returned the trailer to was upset that I was unable to back the trailer in. She started if you can't back it up you shouldn't be towing. This to me was inappropriate. I rented the trailer for a purpose that didn't included needing to back it up. I also believe she was the same lady arguing on the phone with a costumer when I picked up the trailer. She could use some customer service training.

From our first call reserving a trailer through the final setup and checkout process with Ed, the representatives who answered our calls and assisted us in the store were attentive, helpful, polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant. The equipment was as advertised and in good repair. I highly recommend this Uhaul store in Glassboro, NJ. Gracias.

BARBARA L | First ImpressionsI made my reservation 5 days in advance and was tolled it was guaranteed. When I arrived to pick up the uhaul, I was tolled that they did not have the vehicle I had reserved (pick-up truck) and they had me listed for an alternate vehicle (cargo van). I needed the pick up for towing a boat and the alternate cargo van did not have a tow hitch. They where unable to find me the vehicle I had reserved anywhere for that day. I ended up with a 9 foot box truck and was almost an hour late getting where I needed to go. The box truck was ill suited to the job I needed a truck for and I had to get other family members to help me because the truck had ZERO visibility for backing up a 22 foot boat and trailer. No one bothered to call me and let me know that the vehicle was unavailable so I could make other arrangements. So much for a guaranteed reservation.
Matthew MMy sis rented to move a motorcycle. Everything at pick up was great. Michael did a great job hooking up the trailer checking the lights and getting his photo. I worked for Uhaul for 13 plus years so it was great to see such good customer service. The dealer I dropped off with in Hanover did a good job as well. Uhaul 4 Life!!! Gerald

Shawn CYou need a manager who have proper business ethics and understand how to extend customer relations. Customer's come to bring you business and must be treated with respect, honesty, and professionalism. Not with some attitude, arrogance, and dishonesty. I tried to rent a 4x7 or 4x9 trailer and was told by her that it's not available except a 5x9. When I went inside to get the 5x9 trailer, I saw a 4x7 and a 4x9 next to it. I question the manager, and was told by this u-haul manager Kimberly W. that it was already taken. But when I came back about 5 hours later to return the 5x9 trailer, I saw this same 4x7 and 4x9 trailers parked exactly on the same spot un-moved, and to me this is dishonesty. Another thing is when we were picking the trailer, I parked my car next to the trailer and tried to help In pulling it and hooking up into my vehicle. We were told, we are not supposed to do that. And during our return, it took forever for her to open the gate before where able to get in and return the trailer, until finally, I was able to parked the trailer next to the return parking spot so she can unhooked it and push it on the right spot. She refused to do it alone because she said she can't push it alone. If I own this business, I'm not hiring a manager with this kind of attitude to customers. It's not going to be good for my business. Or the business owner should provide her proper training in dealing with customers. By the way, the new young employee with her projects better customer service and professionalism even though he's still trying to learn their standard procedures around him. Please ask her to be nice, honest, and respectful to every customers without any prejudice. They get paid because of the business we bring to your company.

Antonio B | Overall ExperienceIt was ridiculous that they gave me the van with 15/16 tank of gas.i had to maintain that amount when I returned it. I drove it less than 10miles and had to try to figure out if I needed to put gas in it or how much to put in (less than a gallon). Since I do not get reimbursed for extra gas. Ridiculous!!!! Just give each vehicle with a full tank.
Leslie Sthe information about the size of the storage units is very confusing. You get 2 5x10 units with a wall behind. I wanted to get a credit for one of the units because i only ended up needing one unit and they couldnt credit me

Place down the street from my house. So this is more convenient. That's all but my stay here has been very, very well. I'm very happy and satisfied u. Haul. The only regret I had is that I've been with you guys 15 years and I have my own genitory service. I have didn't work before you all cleaned it out storage but they change manager and I lost my connection but that is the only thing I'm disappointed about that. I've been with you guys 15 years. And I never had the opportunity to do any work for you. Because I do a lot of stuff. Pow wash stripping wax floors shampoo carpets. I do a lot of stuff, but I'm just. Wish I could do this and work for you guys. Thank you very much.

The outside unit could use a new seal as some leaves, debris and spiders got into the unit. I was very happy with my overall experience. They manager got me in when no other storage facilities were able to. I would definitely use them again and recommend this facility to my friends.

However the individual that assisted me with the reservation was not professional or efficient at performing the duties of the job. When contacting the U-haul location for a reservation the associate told me to make the reservation online. He also explained that he would make the unit available. I made the reservation at that moment. When arriving at the facility, with all my belongings packed and ready to move in, the unit was locked. When trying to contact someone for help, I was told that they could not assist me at that time. Once gaining access to the unit it had not been cleaned. When I arrived at the facility in the morning the associate was not hospitable and said that he did not see the reservation. I asked him for a lock and he stated that I had to pay for one. Another associate assisted me with removing the old lock off the unit and management came out and gave me a new lock, as the reservation stated a free lock would be provided to me with the monthly rental. I'm just glad the issue was finally resolved. I was in a lot of pain from moving and just wish the process was easier and a little more respectful.

She did remedy the situation and I am thankful for that but it cost everybody a lot of time and money
