The first truck they gave was already rented so I had to wait almost an hour while the figure that out. While I have movers that I had to pay for no work. Was charged for gas when I put the gas back in truck. Didn't realize that until until I got reciept in my email. Just horrible service and no one really seemed to care. I do have both contract numbers if needed

The only thing I recommend is checking each and every truck/van/etc before they go out. The rear driver side signal and brake light was out. Thankfully U-Hauls roadside service was able to fix it the same day I finished the first half of my trip.

I think there was a clear issue with the gas gage. I was told to return it to 3/4 of a tank full. By the time I got to the light outside of your location, the gage already started to go down. I ended up putting 2 gallons of gas when I drove 18 miles and was told I was still just a barely touch shy of 3/4 of a tank. I ended up having to go back and put another 2 gallons, and the gage didn't move. So I put another 2 gallons again and it just jumped up to full. I ended up putting 6 gallons ($20) of gas out of my pocket. I don't understand how 18 miles in total would equal to 6 gallons of gas in your cargo van. I spent as much for gas than I did for the rental. I've normally had good experiences at this location. But I'm extremely disappointed that I ended up getting stuck renting what seems to be a faulty vehicle and when I tried to express my concerns, I was just told “yeah, these trucks can be stupid”. I'm not sure I'd consider coming back.

Equipment had multiple maintenance issues that should have been addressed and mitigated prior to my rental. The facilities were great in regards to access, cleanliness and hours. The administration part was an issue. (1) I was unable to obtain various receipts, according to the clerks " i don't know why it did not print." (2) The web site did not let me complete service request, end up having to call 1800 #. I would use UHaul again. Great prices.

When you say you have a trailer at a location and you take a reservation make sure you keep it there instead of renting it out!!!.they then wanted me to drive 63 miles into DC to get it some where in Springfield VA... Bad scheduling... Had to call the scheduling Manager who told me is was NOT a reservation at that location but just my preferred pickup location... I had to wait an extra day to get the trailer... so buyer beware... They don't know what a reservation means.

I really appreciate from support from the store. Originally I had scheduled with another U-Haul location in Fredericksburg, 4801 Plank Rd., which is just about a mile or 2 away. I had scheduled for 24/7, so as to beat the Washington DC traffic, but when I arrived I was informed this location does not have 24/7. This U-Haul location was helpful and I was on the road just an hour later than I intended. That said, I'm wondering if there's any additional compensation you can offer for what was a frustrating morning? Gracias.

Actually make sure vehicle is clean on console. There was organic "food" debrief all over the buttons from the previous users. Wasn't noticed at first during initial inspection for cleanliness. Very off putting with regard to the potential spread of unnecessary germs or disease.

Give me the equipment I requested and paid for (furniture dolly). Ensure a clean, safe, and inviting location to pick up the truck. By the way, I requested pick up at a different location and was texted a couple of days prior that my pick up location was changed to thus further and less desirable location...don't know why other than to waste my time and leave an uneasy feeling in my gut.

Have always found the facilities so well maintained and the staff willing to assist or direct to someone who can help. Please wash the windshields. It was dirty when I picked up the that morning (daylight). When I returned it that night it was really tough to see through. I didn't notice right away, but the "tow haul" light was on every time I started the engine. Check in process was slow & repeated the same questions I already asked on line. I got a call literally 5 minutes after I pick up my uhaul asking if I still wanted to come and pick up the uhaul & there was a ton of confusion. & then when I tried to return the uhaul at 7:45 it said my session had expired even though I could have it until 10 pm. It was a lot more stressful than it actually needed to be. Also I ordered a cargo trailer on line & they gave me an open one.

Facolity was clean and convenient. We appreciate having the dollies at our disposal to load and unload. There is an area where one can leave unvwanted items to be donated to Charitable organizations. We had an issue at the beginning when returned UHaul vehicles blocked our exit. The management remediated the problem with better signage, so drivers knew where to park the trucks without blocking people using the storage area.

Made a reservation on March 7 by phone and later confirmed by Jennie's who I was told later she was now president of the new region. Went to reserve a truck and pay rental fee for the reserved unit. There was not a reservation to my chagrin. I spoke with two associates and Heather said they were full for the March 27 or other end of March. She sId they it might old. Up but they would definitely would find a 10 x 10 x 12' unit and call me to confirm. Heather promised to get back the same dY. I called later that day and was told that someone was working on it. Received. Call later that evening confirming g that I had confirmation. Original move date was March 28 but movers called dY before with a s heduking problem. I phoned UHaul to. Notify that the move would be 1 day later and reconfirmed so that the date and unit would be available. On March 29 I got the truck which took much longer than reasonable since I had a confirmation.which two people 30 minutes to locate. I then said I wanted to pay for the unit and get the location and purchase a lock. I was told no that wasn't the way to do it and I needed to wait until we came back to move in. I assumed we would be that 6 pm. When we returned at 4 pm I was told they didn't not have a reservation for me and they spent 30 minutes "looking at a monitor". Total insanity or a game that was being played staring yes you have a reservation and then give it to the first person that shows up. I would have gladly paid for the unit on the first reservation but I was total no not necessary. I am still very angry that the movers had to stuff my furniture into 2 5x5units which were wholly inadequate. Some items are to be sold and were in pristine condition as were a couple of antiques. My bus x and I were left with 10 boxes which we had to go to another storage rental and we had to pl ace them ours elves since movers had a schedule. To rectify this situation I want UHaul to either find a climate contolled u I'm the size requested or larger. And the charge remIn the sMe amount as was originally quoted and with me supervising move my items from units 1602-18. I would like a reply by Wed April 6.

Initially I had a problem with the customer service the morning I was getting my rental. There were not enough employees available for the amount of people that were standing in line. If you are on a schedule oh, they would surely throw you off. The wait was definitely too long.

I love your company especially the one I used. I had a storage unit there and also returned a truck there and rented another one. Your staff at the facility are very friendly and professional. My experience with the employees at U-Haul in Fredericksburg we’re absolutely friendly professional and helpful I will recommend them to anyone the best customer service I have ever had at a U-Haul one particular person that really stood out his name was Kevin absolutely wonderful it was to others I do not remember the names it was a lady and it was another young man I don’t know the names but wonderful but Kevin my favorite thanks for everything I appreciate it And God bless each and everyone of you

There was no lock left in my unit when I opened it to put on the outside to lock my belongings inside. From what I was told I was supposed to have one inside the unit soon as I opened the door.

My unit leaked, so all of my "valued" items are totally destroyed, unusable, or non-salvageable. For example a complete set of Agatha Christie novels, hard padded volumes lost, as well as many other book collections. Much lost at a cost in excess of $230.00 per month seems to get a much less than favorable review. To make matters worse, I was told that I would receive a call for an insurance claim, but that has not happened yet. So thank you for nought.

Unfortunately I have to rate my experience average. Prior to the pandemic I was extremely satisfied with everything. During the pandemic I would receive letters every few months informing me of an increase in prices. For people struggling this was not ideal. Hence the reason I chose to close my storage.

A little expensive but the service center manager and her crew are exceptional. Always friendly and helpful.

The staff rushed me through the process. The truck was damaged. The fuel rating was higher than the amount of gas in the tank. I had to find my truck on my own. No-one took me to show me my storage unit. I'm cancelling the storage unit. Doubtful if I'll ever use U-Haul again. I also had another storage unit reserved at international Pkwy which I was told was 8 ft high only to find out it was actually 6 feet high when I saw my reservation. I cancelled that and used another storage company which costs more, but the better access and service is worth it
