Check in process was slow & repeated the same questions I already asked on line. I got a call literally 5 minutes after I pick up my uhaul asking if I still wanted to come and pick up the uhaul & there was a ton of confusion. & then when I tried to return the uhaul at 7:45 it said my session had expired even though I could have it until 10 pm. It was a lot more stressful than it actually needed to be. Also I ordered a cargo trailer on line & they gave me an open one.Alyson C.

Roll the windows up after a customer drops a truck off. Make sure all mirrors are functioning and tight so they dont move in the middle of the highway. Going 60+ mph and your mirror suddenly turning out, so you cant see anything on your passenger side, is scary as hell.Jared P.

Trailer wiring was fully functional, and checked before leaving but it was clear at some point it was 'services/rewired' and although everything was functional it the work was clearly substandard. (several unsecured wires dangling only 2-3" from the ground). For my local use was not a concern but if I were making a 'trip' somewhere I would not have accepted this trailer. The attendant seemed ready to provide me with a new trailer but as it was already connected and secured and my use was local I indicated I was ok using things as is. The attendant did make some efforts to secure the wires but substandard work was well beyond just his remedy.Paul H.

When I received the truck and tow dolly they said I was ready to go. After examing the equipment for damage, I looked in the rear of the truck and found they forgot my pads and dollies which I had to retrieve myself, then I had to point out the fuel and mileage reading was incorrect. Up charged me 14.95 for gas b/c they said I did not look at the needle. I put 3 gallons of gas in the tank and they still said I owed 15 bucks- even though I drove only 23 miles (it's physically impossible to use this much has for 23 miles- salesperson was clueless)- I would not recommend this locationJames A.

Listen to customers..Employees like (Carmella) act as if helping customers is a problem...Listening and navigating the computer system is a stretch for her.She always messes up my check- As if making customers needs a priority and doing the job she was trained to do is to much of a stretch..4 out of 4 times she has messed my closing checkin up..Someone please train this woman better...Her lackadaisical attitude and vigor mouth isnt becoming and not to mention unprofessional and not up to uhaul standards..I hope this changes soon.James J.

My experience at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Fredericksburg on 2411 Plank Rd Fredericksburg, VA 22401 was truly great. The online quick check in was great, the office customer service folks were great but did make a mistake not letting me know I needed a 2 inch ball. The grounds attendant who lead me to the trailer was a friendly young man that noticed my hitch ball was to large told the manager/ supervisor of the issue and they took care of me by lending me a receiver/ball that would fit the Uhaul 2 inch ball requirement, so awesome for the staff making it right. Also my return was also great, the young men that morning were fast in checking me in and courteous. Overall this location by far has been my best experience with Uhaul ever in my 25+ years of using Uhaul when I need a piece of equipment.William S.

The customer service is extremely rude! I received the wrong set of keys for the lock on the back of the truck. When I advised them that it was the wrong set and I needed this to be open so I can move all my stuck within my new homeâ€¦.. the lady advised me there is nothing they can do and to call road side assistance. A hour went by and road side assistances comes and advise that their is nothing they can do. ( he though my keys was locked within the truck ). The guy advised that he can not brake the lock due to that being a uhaul issue and not a road side assistance issue. Overall worst experience!Joseph H.

Three employees carried on a conversation like I wasn't there for about two minutes with me standing near the register waiting to be acknowledged. I just looked on without speaking before they had a break in the conversation and asked if I needed help. Otherwise the actual rental and return was great. Facolity was clean and convenient. We appreciate having the dollies at our disposal to load and unload. There is an area where one can leave unvwanted items to be donated to Charitable organizations. We had an issue at the beginning when returned UHaul vehicles blocked our exit. Made a reservation on March 7 by phone and later confirmed by Jennie's who I was told later she was now president of the new region. Went to reserve a truck and pay rental fee for the reserved unit. There was not a reservation to my chagrin. I spoke with two associates and Heather said they were full for the March 27 or other end of March. She sId they it might old. Up but they would definitely would find a 10 x 10 x 12' unit and call me to confirm. Heather promised to get back the same dY. I called later that day and was told that someone was working on it. Received. Call later that evening confirming g that I had confirmation. Original move date was March 28 but movers called dY before with a s heduking problem. I phoned UHaul to. Notify that the move would be 1 day later and reconfirmed so that the date and unit would be available. On March 29 I got the truck which took much longer than reasonable since I had a confirmation.which two people 30 minutes to locate. I then said I wanted to pay for the unit and get the location and purchase a lock. I was told no that wasn't the way to do it and I needed to wait until we came back to move in. I assumed we would be that 6 pm. When we returned at 4 pm I was told they didn't not have a reservation for me and they spent 30 minutes "looking at a monitor". Total insanity or a game that was being played staring yes you have a reservation and then give it to the first person that shows up. I would have gladly paid for the unit on the first reservation but I was total no not necessary. I am still very angry that the movers had to stuff my furniture into 2 5x5units which were wholly inadequate. Some items are to be sold and were in pristine condition as were a couple of antiques. My bus x and I were left with 10 boxes which we had to go to another storage rental and we had to pl ace them ours elves since movers had a schedule. To rectify this situation I want UHaul to either find a climate contolled u I'm the size requested or larger. And the charge remIn the sMe amount as was originally quoted and with me supervising move my items from units 1602-18. I would like a reply by Wed April 6.Sandra P. | First Impressions

My unit leaked, so all of my "valued" items are totally destroyed, unusable, or non-salvageable. For example a complete set of Agatha Christie novels, hard padded volumes lost, as well as many other book collections. Much lost at a cost in excess of $230.00 per month seems to get a much less than favorable review. The staff rushed me through the process. The truck was damaged. The fuel rating was higher than the amount of gas in the tank. I had to find my truck on my own. No-one took me to show me my storage unit. I'm cancelling the storage unit. Doubtful if I'll ever use U-Haul again. I also had another storage unit reserved at international Pkwy which I was told was 8 ft high only to find out it was actually 6 feet high when I saw my reservation.
