I have rented from this location 4 times and it's absolutely by far the best location in Fredericksburg Virginia. (2411 plank rd) everyone is helpful, nice and they care about there customers. We scheduled to pick up our truck in Springfield, VA over a month prior and last minute had to go to Fredericksburg, VA. Not because we were contacted by Uhaul, but because we called to check on the reservation. This is over 45 miles away and over an hour with traffic (each way). I recieved a call a day after i dropped trailer off asking if i was going to drop trailer off. I told them i dropped off the day before. She said she dui not have a record of it being dropped off and could not find the trailer. I guess they found it as i never heard back. Otherwise the guy thar did check me in did very well. Worst driving experience I've ever had. Drove 11 hours from Virginia to Georgia in a death trap! Uhaul should be embarrassed and ashamed of having the vehicle in their fleet. Drove like a tank and the road noise in the cab was deafening!! No way this vehicle could pass any Quality or OSHA standards for any company!Edward B.

Facolity was clean and convenient. We appreciate having the dollies at our disposal to load and unload. There is an area where one can leave unvwanted items to be donated to Charitable organizations. We had an issue at the beginning when returned UHaul vehicles blocked our exit. The folks at this location were great, had the appliance dolly I'd requested, and were fast and friendly. My only complaint is that the per-mile charge is so high! I just needed to move stuff in-town, but I won't do this kind of rental again because the mileage charges (~140 miles) ended up being over $200 total. There should be some kind of mileage allowance for a daily rental--charge by the mile in excess of that allowance, but charging for every mile makes it unaffordable.Teresa F.

Made a reservation on March 7 by phone and later confirmed by Jennie's who I was told later she was now president of the new region. Went to reserve a truck and pay rental fee for the reserved unit. There was not a reservation to my chagrin. I spoke with two associates and Heather said they were full for the March 27 or other end of March. She sId they it might old. Up but they would definitely would find a 10 x 10 x 12' unit and call me to confirm. Heather promised to get back the same dY. I called later that day and was told that someone was working on it. Received. Call later that evening confirming g that I had confirmation. Original move date was March 28 but movers called dY before with a s heduking problem. I phoned UHaul to. Notify that the move would be 1 day later and reconfirmed so that the date and unit would be available. On March 29 I got the truck which took much longer than reasonable since I had a confirmation.which two people 30 minutes to locate. I then said I wanted to pay for the unit and get the location and purchase a lock. I was told no that wasn't the way to do it and I needed to wait until we came back to move in. I assumed we would be that 6 pm. When we returned at 4 pm I was told they didn't not have a reservation for me and they spent 30 minutes "looking at a monitor". Total insanity or a game that was being played staring yes you have a reservation and then give it to the first person that shows up. I would have gladly paid for the unit on the first reservation but I was total no not necessary. I am still very angry that the movers had to stuff my furniture into 2 5x5units which were wholly inadequate. Some items are to be sold and were in pristine condition as were a couple of antiques. My bus x and I were left with 10 boxes which we had to go to another storage rental and we had to pl ace them ours elves since movers had a schedule. To rectify this situation I want UHaul to either find a climate contolled u I'm the size requested or larger. And the charge remIn the sMe amount as was originally quoted and with me supervising move my items from units 1602-18. I would like a reply by Wed April 6.Sandra P. | First Impressions

My unit leaked, so all of my "valued" items are totally destroyed, unusable, or non-salvageable. For example a complete set of Agatha Christie novels, hard padded volumes lost, as well as many other book collections. Much lost at a cost in excess of $230.00 per month seems to get a much less than favorable review. During the pandemic I would receive letters every few months informing me of an increase in prices. For people struggling this was not ideal. The staff rushed me through the process. The truck was damaged. The fuel rating was higher than the amount of gas in the tank. I had to find my truck on my own. No-one took me to show me my storage unit. I'm cancelling the storage unit. Doubtful if I'll ever use U-Haul again. I also had another storage unit reserved at international Pkwy which I was told was 8 ft high only to find out it was actually 6 feet high when I saw my reservation.
