This was not our original pick-up location. After traveling 10 miles to our move spot, we discovered the truck had a padlock on the back. We had to drive all the way back to the pick-up location to get it removed.

Location ability on website for mobile check in would not work. After following instructions to scan barcode on building in proceeded to entrance door and located barcode which was inconveniently placed on the sliding door. Upon trying to scan barcode several times, door continues to slide open. I was therefore forced to go inside to complete my check in. The entire intention with completing mobile check in was so that I did not have to interact with a uhaul employee. I had reserved the truck for 24 hours and while checking in, the employee asked if the truck would be back by 4, I indicated I had a 24 hour rental and it would not be back by 4. He then said hed put the return time at 7 since that's when they close. I again said it was a 24 hour rental and I'd have it back sometime that night but did not know if it would be back by 7. Why bother with a 24 hour rental if the employees are going to push to have it back sooner? Truck condition aesthetically was average at best. Rust was present on rear door. Holes in cab and box had been patched with aluminum foil tape, driver door did not seal properly and caused significant wind noise in the truck, drivers window crank flimsy and almost unable to be used. While driving the truck, at 55mph the truck would shake uncontrollably and made extremely loud winding noises as if the transmission was struggling. While braking, the brakes would make odd noises not present on other box vans I've driven in the past. While returning truck i was able to make it almost an hour before store closing so I proceed to return area where the sign indicated I should wait with my equipment and someone would be out to help; nobody arrived to assist with returning my equipment. I again proceeded inside the building where I handed the keys to an employee at the desk. He hadn't noticed I had been in the return area and couldn't even see the security monitor on the wall that would indicate someone needed assistance outside. I informed him of the problems I had with the vehicle (of which he seemed to have no care to acknowledge) and left completely unsatisfied with my experience from beginning to end. With 3 locations in the town I rented and countless others in surrounding towns, I will be utilizing other facilities with a higher level of maintenance and customer service abilities.

I was very pleased with services at 2nd location in Fort Atkinson. Nice young man very helpful. This was because your manager at walkers point in Milwaukee, was no help. Then said(If we were in the hood he would beat my aÃ-Ã-. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I'm in a management position and would never dream of treating a customer that way. I want there business back. I have the whole deal on my truck cameras. I will be looking into my options legally. Gracias

We were charge almost $800 to rent a 5x9 trailer for a motorcycle, to travel back down to Florida from Wisconsin. We had the trailer for only 2 days and were charged for 5 days. We should only be charged for the days of the rental. I will never rent from uhaul again.

I hated the automated process. I had to upload my drivers license 3 times! I couldn't find the keys. This could be such an easy process with an actual human being but you all want to make more money so you are cutting that part out. The computer prompts were confusing and there were too many steps. I never even got to the point where i took pictures of the truck before I got the keys... I was thrown off the website and couldn't get back in... Not a good experience.

Test the trailer cables first. First trailer cable didnt work. Had to unhook and get a different trailer. But most importantly (this does not pertain to this location) when scheduling finalizes pick ups and has to move the customer's pick up location from their requested location in their reservation, please be mindful of the pick up time. I had reserved a 5x8 trailer to pick up in Fort Atkinson, WI at 7pm. The business was open until 8pm. But scheduling saw there were no 5x8s at Fort. So they moved my pick up to Delavan, WI and kept my 7pm pick up time. But, out of my own curiosity, I looked up the business hours of the Delavan place and they closed at 12pm the day I needed to pick up. I was confused about this and worried I wouldn't be able to pick up at 7pm if they closed at 12pm. I called scheduling and indeed someone made a mistake. Thank goodness I intuitively looked up the business hours. The scheduling person I talked to was able to give us a free upgrade to a 6x12 trailer in Fort (our ideal location for pick up) so we could still get a trailer at 7pm. If I had not looked up the Delavan business hours, we would have been screwed. Please ensure this never happens again to another unsuspecting customer. Gracias.

I rented a 15' van and I wanted it for one day. They said I had to rent it for 3 days. I drove 357 miles and I rented a Dolly for $12.00. My bill was $798.64 that is outrageous for one day use.

Better advertising and employee training. Big sign showing the pick-up and cargo van with rates that I guess are not valid. No where on sign are there exclusions and I felt I qualified for the daily rate and the staff stated I didn't drive over a 100miles so that deal does not apply. Sign does not state that simply lists a daily rate of 19.99 w 100 miles for free and .29/mile charge. Makes me go to Home Depot next time they don't play the games, set fee for set amount of time w/set miles included.

It's very irritating that you can't call the store location directly. All you get is a message asking for your mailbox number or you get in a loop. Had to take a drive back to the business just to ask for additional information. Then when I wasn't able to return the truck on time. I couldn't reach anyone to let them know I would drop the truck off in the morning. The WORST thing U-Haul has done is set up this type of phone system.

Dropped off well before closing time but could not enter building to complete drop-off. Hadn't wanted to deal with poor internet service at drop-off as well but after waiting quite some time, started attempting to do the drop-off that way. An employee happened by after we had been there quite a while and said he could take the keys and would take care of our drop-off but there was no kind of confirmation provided. Our account did not show the truck was dropped off until the next morning. Kinda frustrating when you are left hanging not knowing if the process was completed until the next day.

Had to wait in line to drop off my rental Key. Was never acknowledge and not helped until After I asked for help after a later customer was helped before me. I asked for help and was asked if I left enough gas in the van and could just leave keys. Wow -couldn't have said that in beginning? No apology , terrible customer service Get it together guys!!!

We reserved a locker with a credit card and then came back the next day to finish the application and start moving boxes in. We were not made aware that the entire reservation process is to be done online BEFORE HAND. So we wasted time going to the location only to stand around and do the application ourselves while at the office. Staff was friendly and escorted us through the process required to access our unit.

Did not like having to have my License with all of my personal information being photo'd by someone's personal phone for this rental-they make machines that read/swipe your License just like a credit card-this in my opinion is what should have been used-instead of a personal phone of a worker-seems to be a violation of privacy rights.

The tire on the front were down to the wear bars on the outside edge. The windshield was dirty the interior was spotless. When we returned a day early the employee just asked is the gas where it should be and said you're good to go. I asked what about the difference that i paid he said they'll adjust it but really could tell me when.

The reps were all friendly and professional, I appreciate that very much. I rented a 4x8 trailer, but was given a 5x8 trailer, was told the 4x8 trailer that was sitting there wasn't for local trips?
