Joseph F | Overall ExperienceThe unit I have to too small (a fault of my own). When I opened the storage unit there was no lock in the unit. There was no one in the office at 4:30pm when I arrived. I called the 800 number on the reservation at try to get a larger unit. I was placed on hold for 30mins until I hung up and called back to be left on hold again. No one answered after explaining my issue. It started to get dark i went ahead and put as much stuff in the ubit as possible. I called a third time to get a lock to close the unit. I was told I had to go to another location to retrieve a lock. The communication of this location is unsatisfactory. I have yet to get in contact with some to get a larger unit.

Yvette QThe gate to the storage unit does not close. Security in a new area is important and not feeling that your stuff is secure is not a good feeling. Also the gentlemen that helped me did not know what he was doing so it took over an hour to secure my 30-day free storage unit which I was entitle to because of a 1-way trailer rental. However I was charged for a 2nd month and have yet to be reimbursed even though I was told the 2nd month would be reimbursed when I closed my unit. That is done, where is my reimbursement?

ESTHER DThe truck is in poor driving condition. Definitely in need of service and shouldn’t be hard to operate because of lack of maintenance. It wasn’t clean there was trash inside of the truck so this lets me know it was NOT SANITIZED or cleaned.

Gave wrong truck with wrong mileage, and gas range, one person working there, long wait, unresolved issues that person had to actually write down information for manager. Payment was not made while I was there. I had to receive a call from office after I left for my to receive the total amount to be withdrawn from my cc from their screw ups! Really bad customer service and parking lot was congested and took a while to enter and exit. There was no other worker on site, but the lady in the office who was incompetent with a lack of authority or help!

SAMUEL YWhen we first tried to change rooms, we were given a smaller unit instead of the larger one we requested. We finally got that straight and Robin, the manager, compensated us accordingly. Lights were often not lit. Many times there was only one person working and they weren’t always in the office because they had to lock it to go assist another customer. When we called to ask questions we were often not helped until Robin could be reached. It seems like others do not have the same knowledge or access. Although she too had to contact Robin first, Maya was helpful in getting us closed out after we spoke to another employee who was less than helpful. All in all, of experience was fair.

Tried calling several times, only to get an answering service (this is during weekday business hours). All I could do was leave a message for an actual person from the Forestville,MD U-Haul to give me a call. They NEVER got back with me. I was a loyal customer for FOUR years, and they couldn't even forgo a payment for ONE DAY. This is not how you treat a 'valued' customer. I will never do business with U-Haul again. I don't like greedy companies, nor people who disregard their customers and go back on their word.
